My sister and I needed a place to stay while my dad stayed for a procedure at the VA medical center in Seattle. We could not be happier with the location of the property. Getting back and forth from the hospital was so easy. The parking on the street felt safe and secure. We only used 2 bedrooms but liked that there was a TV in each room. We would stay again the next time we need to go to west Seattle area.
We stayed one night after a week of hiking, and got this place because it was closish to the airport (and a reverse commute in the morning). We got there late so had a little trouble figuring out which house was the right one -- Google maps directed us to a property next door.
The host was pretty prompt to help us get it figured out (around 10pm), which was nice.
Inside there were large fans on the floor and ceiling going, which made me think that the previous guests might have made a big mess that had been cleaned up - but for us the fans were just good to help us fall asleep. Didn't use the kitchen, so no comments there. Worked out just fine for us.
The property would have been ok. We weren't seeking fancy. We specifically rented this property because the 3 bedroom furnishings listed in the description was what we needed for our party of two couples and two single adult men. However, the description was not accurate: Instead of 2 bedrooms with queens and one bedroom with a single and a futon, all 3 bedrooms had queens. So, one of the adults had to sleep on the couch. That meant the rest of us couldn't use the living space when he was in bed. It was uncomfortable for everyone.
Chima was a fabulous host--very friendly and communicative. The property was perfect for our family staycay--super close to the activities we had booked (Puzzle Break and Van Gogh experience), well-furnished with amenities, and three great bedrooms. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we need a place in Seattle.
The location was convenient for us as it was close to our family. Shopping was nearby. House was very clean. Wish there would have been a few more cooking utensils. Owner was very responsive when we arrived and the washer wasnât working. It was replaced with a new washer dryer the next day. Unfortunately the dishwasher wasnât working.
The unit has a great location, not terribly far from downtown and a short walk from a couple bus stops. The unit was clean and spacious, and an air conditioner was provided in the living room, which was appreciated with the hot weather. The owner communicated well. We greatly enjoyed our stay here and the city itself was wonderful.
It is expensive to find lodging in Seattle. We looked hard and found this property that seemed to fit our needs. Communication with the owner was excellent. Check in was easy. When we arrived, we found the property much as we expected from the pictures. We were disappointed in the neighborhood and the lack of a picture of the outside of the home prior to arriving. It was accessible to bus and light rail, which was our main transportation. There were TV's in every bedroom and the main living area. It looked to be newly and modernly renovated. There was also a grocery store within walking distance, although down a steep hill. This is not different than much of Seattle. As our stay progressed, we found things that we did not like about the property. The biggest issue for us was the deck. There is a sign posted that stated only 4 people are allowed on the deck at a time. When we went on the deck, we found it unsteady and a bit wobbly. The railing also seemed weak. We ended up not using the deck because we felt it was unsafe. That was a disappointment. We also discovered that on the first morning, there were only 4 bath towels and 6 of us. I called the owner to ask where I could find more and she said she would bring us more. We shared towels amongst ourselves that first day and then 4 new towels were dropped off at the door. We also only found 3 cereal bowls and too few spoons. We ended up washing them between our uses. The couch in the living area was probably the most uncomfortable couch I have ever sat on. There were also a lot of area rugs over the carpet in the entrance, the hallway and the living area. The edges of the rugs were starting to curl, so we found ourselves tripping on them constantly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Seattle. I think the items that we were disappointed with are easily corrected, so hopefully the owner will address these issues and will continue to rent this property.
