We loved the condo! The view was incredible and the lanai was wonderful! The condo was very clean and well appointed. The location was close to several beaches and restaurants that we enjoyed. All of the beach supplies (towels, chairs, umbrella, etc.) made our experience on the beach so nice. Plus, the host responded quickly to questions and was very helpful. We only wish we could have stayed longer - next time, we will!

Wonderful stay in this tidy and well located condo. Beautiful view of the water. The bedrooms were spacious. Host was gracious and immediately delivered a new coffee maker when ours went on the fritz.

The ocean is visible from throughout the unit and the lanai enabling views of humpback whales spouting and breeching out in front of the condo. Kitchen is well equipped and the furniture and beds are really comfortable. The pictures posted on VRBO show the condo exactly as you will find it. The gas BBQ is right out front, and the pool is a few steps away.

Location, location, location!!! The view from the deck was amazing!! We couldn’t count the amount of whales that we saw! Amenities were perfect… everything we needed was supplied. Even had a view of the ocean from our bedroom!! Can’t wait to return…

This first floor unit met our needs in the Poipu area and was extremely close to the parking area, which was awesome. I was very surprised, however, to find that the unit did NOT have any A/C. While the windows and screen doors did provide a nice breeze in the evening, and there were multiple fans available, it was extremely humid and I sweat almost the entire time I was there. The listing should make it abundantly clear that A/C is not available. The unit was well-stocked with beach supplies, towels, and kitchen and bath basics, which was very helpful. Especially having a Brita filter in the fridge so we could filter the ice cube tray water, and didn't have to buy plastic water bottles. The stacked washer and dryer were conveniently located in the kitchen, and laundry soap was provided. Communication was great, and my only suggestion would be to have a sign IN THE UNIT with the WiFi password so folks don't need to search through their inbox for an email from an unknown sender that was sent weeks ago in order to log in. The unit was clean at first glance, but could use a deeper clean of things like window blinds, window sills, glass surfaces, and the bathroom sink and faucet area. The 2 bedroom unit provided enough space for the 4 adults we had, and although they specify that no one under 17 is allowed, I think it would be perfectly safe for school-aged kids. The only spaces that were tight were the bathrooms because of the close proximity of the door closing and the toilet.

Thank you for your review and for sharing the lovely photos from your stay. We're glad you enjoyed the location, convenient parking, beach equipment, amenities, and communication. Regarding air conditioning, our condo does not have A/C, and we don't advertise it as an amenity. In fact, no units in the complex have air conditioning. Being so close to the ocean, the building has the advantage of Kauai's trade winds through open jalousie windows, screened doors, and ceiling fans, as you mention. Many guests find the trade winds and open-air design comfortable, but we completely understand that others may prefer a more climate-controlled environment. Thank you as well for the suggestion regarding the WiFi password. We provide it in our electronic welcome guide before arrival, but that's a great suggestion, and we'll definitely add it to our printed materials within the unit. We were also surprised by the reference to guests under 17, as families with children regularly stay in our condo and there is no age restriction for children. We're pleased the condo otherwise met your needs and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

Review: Poipu Palms – An Absolute Gem!Rating: We had an incredible stay at Poipu Palms and can’t recommend it enough. The location is perfect—quiet enough to be relaxing but close enough to everything you want to see.The Highlights:Spectacular Views: We spent so much time on the pool deck. The ocean views are stunning, and we were lucky enough to watch whales and beautiful sunsets right from the property.Incredible Wildlife: One of the most magical parts of our trip was the short stroll to Poipu Beach, where we counted 52 Honu (sea turtles) in a single night! We also enjoyed seeing Monk seals lounging on the sand in the mornings.The Condo: The unit was spotless and very well-equipped. It came with all the beach gear we needed, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable—which made a huge difference after long days of exploring.Convenient Location: It’s an easy walk to both Shipwreck Beach and Poipu Beach. We also loved being so close to local shopping and the Allerton Botanical Garden.The Host:A huge thank you to our host, Chrissy, who was wonderful to work with and made sure our stay was seamless.We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Host interaction was great. The view from the patio is amazing. Spent most our time out there when we were not out and about. Was able to see whales right from our place. Location was great. Could easily walk to the beach. The kids used the pool and loved it. Wish we had a hot tub for the chilly, windy nights. :-) The place was very laid back and quiet. 16 units in total. This unit was very easy to access right from the parking lot. No stairs!! No air in this unit, but not really needed with the trade winds, we were comfortable at night. Beds were also comfortable. Now for the place itself. It was just okay. You are definitely paying for the location and the view. This unit could use a little TLC. Walls are dirty, very dusty cabinets, blinds, and some of the windows didn’t properly work to open/close etc. The bathrooms were super tight (needed to step into the shower to be able to close the doors). Mirror, painting on walls were not straight. Not bothersome- but did take away from the whole feel when you first stepped in. We did stay at another rental on the north shore the first half of the trip so it’s hard not to compare when the first place was half the price and more welcoming, roomy and attention to detail was there. However, with that.. this should not steer you away from staying here. It did come with everything you need, and the view was amazing. We prefer not staying on a resort so this was perfect for that. We would stay again! Thank you!

We recently stayed at this lovely condo in Poipu! We highly recommend this unit! The location was perfect and was an easy drive to great restaurants, beaches, and coastal walks. It is a lovely area to walk with great views. The grounds were beautiful, lush and colorful. Watching turtles from the pool deck was a bonus. We enjoyed seeing the turtles at Poipu beach in the evening as well. The interior of the unit was as pictured and described -Comforatble, well decorated, and very clean. There is a large deck off the living room where we could sit and look out at the ocean. The owner was readily available for any questions which we felt was outstanding! They converted the twin bed room to a larger bed as requested. All in all this was a great unit for our Poipu vacation!
