The house has a great layout, quiet neighborhood, and good location if you want to go into town. There is wear and tear throughout and the deck railing needs repair. I let Management know of the issues I saw. They have already communicated with the owner. I expect with some attention; this will be an excellent rental.
We had a great stay, plenty of room! Loved the location. Lots of memories made, thank you for sharing your home! The only thing you desperately need is new pans! All 3 pans stick and its hard to cook with them .
Overall it was very good. Only complaints: All the knives were dangerously dull, no oil or foil for cooking, and only salt no pepper but those are minor inconveniences.
The location was good and the neighborhood was nice, but unfortunately the property itself had several concerning issues that really impacted our stay.âąThe balcony railing was dangerously weak, with loose nails that made it feel like it could give way at any moment. It was a serious safety hazard.âąThe lower-level balcony was dirty and clearly not cleaned before our arrival, with lots of built-up grime.âąThe grill was in poor conditionârusted, dirty, and falling apart. It hadnât been cleaned in a long time and felt like a grease fire waiting to happen.âąThe hot tub was lukewarm at best, and there were very few instructions provided on how to use or adjust it.âąInside the home, we found spiders in several rooms, along with dust and signs of poor cleaning.âąThe kitchen was poorly stockedâthere were barely any paper towels, soap, or essential household items. The knives were extremely flimsy and dull, making it hard to prepare meals.âąThere were multiple warning signs about eviction for noise complaints, which made the stay feel tense. Ironically, the walls were paper thin, so noise carried easily regardless.âąLastly, one of the bedroom lights constantly flickered, which was distracting and never addressed. With a bit more attention to safety, cleanliness, and hospitality basics, this place could be much better.

House was good!
Stay was great. Place was good. My only complaint that is a pretty big one was. Property manager told me there was no lock on the hot tub when there was clearly a cable and combo lock. I even took a picture of the lock. So home stating it had a hot tub that was unusable is basically a lie.
10 minutes from the lift and about 7 from town. Fantastic location. Kitchen was fully stocked. Had the kids downstairs and parents upstairs. Would also work to have each family on a floor. Very nice property. No complaints! Would stay here again
Ski trip with friends - the house was a great size for hanging out in, the location was perfect for getting too and from the mountain, and the hot tub for relaxing at the end of each day was perfect!
The house was nice and had what we needed for our short stay. Being able to park in the garage was great, especially with our large vehicle. If you book in the winter, read the contract since they do not provide snow removal in the booking cost. We had to shovel upon arrival to get into the house. I wish this was detailed in the property listing since I did not read the contract until after the full refund cancellation date had passed.
I had a lot of fun staying here. Went here with my partner, family and two family friends. The cabin is cozy and warm. Great location as it is close to Sierra-at-Tahoe and Heavenly. Instructions are clear and very easy to follow. The property is very much worth the price. There were only a few issues that are very fixable: 1. There's a very slippery part of the floor in between the pool table and couch that could get someone injured if they fall that hard. 2. I woke up in the middle of the night to see that the downstairs area was 87, even though fireplaces were turned off, there seemed to be no thermostat downstairs and the thermostat I could find upstairs read that the heat was only set to around 70. Could be an issue with the heater, but again, very fixable - we opened the bedroom doors and used fans. Didn't ruin the stay at all :)
This is a spacious house, but it's just tired. Pots and pans are worn out, random collection of staples in the cabinets. The deck railing is about to fall off and there are hundreds of screw heads stuck up all over the deck, don't dare go out on it with bare feet. We had to relight the fireplace pilot light (a project). and the gate to the back yard is literally non-operable, the hinges are torn out of the rotted frame. The hut tub is missing all its cushions, the bedding is subpar. The upstairs lights are glaring, need dimmers. This place could be nice again, but the owner needs to spend a few nights here and see how it is for a guest.
A few areas need some updating fior safety. Some walls need cleaning in entry. Otherwise very nice. When givng entry info, it would be nice to let guests know what is available in kitchen, ie salt, pepper, paper towel,, kleenex, etc basics.
We ordered ahead on Instacart, so what we thought was good to go was not. I think that is a thing of COVID n what we all went through. Thanks for being patient with me n planning, too.
We had a wonderful time. The house was very spacious for our group of 8. The weather was rough at times and we had to stay in more than we had planned but we took full advantage of the pool table, hot tub, and also cooked up a storm in the amazing kitchen. I rarely have seen a kitchen, which has so many amenities. Overall a great experience. We would go back anytime.
Overall, a nice stay with a group of 9 of us. Pictures as described on the listing. Couple issuesâŠ1. We got to the property and tried to access via our access code and the door was not working to let us in. We tried multiple times and it seemed as though the battery was not working so we called the number found in my messages with the details with no response. We called about 10 times with no answer. They had a local contact listed on the front entryway who we called and luckily after a bit he was able to assist us getting inside. The property manager did not call us back until the next morning stating âIâm sorry I missed your calls, I hope you made it into the propertyâ. If you have a guest checking in on a day, you should always be available in case of issues like ours. 2⊠we could not figure out the hot tub situation and why it was not heating up which the owner called a maintenance person out to look at it and we were told it has to be turned on 24 hours before you want to use it so it can get to temperature but there were no instructions on this so for future it would be helpful to know this information. 3âŠsome other minor things: there are many signs about noise violations if youâre too loud which is a turnoff overall; there was only 1 roll of paper towels provided and we were a group of 9 who had dinner there most nights so this was a little difficult and we didnât know there wouldnât be more on property nor could we find any
The home is only 15 min from downtown Lake Tahoe - easy to get to. Large open floor plan with a pool table right in the middle of the family room/kitchen area. Master bathroom was Very large. Nice neighborhood. Nice place to stay. A little over an hour to North Star and the Palisades Ski resorts. Views are incredible driving around the lake. Make sure you purchase a parking pass for the Palisades in advance on the weekends our you won't be able to go.
The first thing you're greeted by upon arrival is a sign on the exterior of the front door threatening fines and eviction for noise. Then you find out these same notices are taped onto every door and window in the common areas of the home. These notices are aggressive, inappropriate, and downright unwelcoming. Though the law only prohibits "excessive noise," these hostile notices made us feel like we could not enjoy ourselves at any volume.
One notice contained a printout of the relevant law with the portions implicating the owner blacked out. I don't find these harassing and deceptive practices acceptable at all, so I would not book any property from this company again.
If in fact this property has had trouble with noise in the past, the owners might think to decorate the upstairs in a way that avoids creating an echo chamber.
This property also shows significant signs of wear and tear. The listing photos are out of date. It seems like this was probably a very nice rental cabin maybe 20 years ago.
Rented for 9 guests. Everybody slept comfortably. Garage was able to accommodate a full size truck and small SUV so parking wasnât an issue. House overall was very clean. Would rent again for sure
