This home was fantastic! The kitchen was stocked with all we needed for meal prep. The beds were spacious and comfortable. Tasey was quick to respond to texts. The entrance key code made it super simple to come and go from the home. The location of the house was perfectly in between beaches and the national park.
The property is a dream. Large house with separate entries for the walk out basement and upstairs units, perfect for two families to share. We loved the views, the fruit trees (particularly the lychees and mangoes) and my daughter was obsessed with the neighbour's goats who kept sneaking into our yard. The Eddie Tam park next door is huge and beautiful, great for sunset walks. We always stay in upcountry when we visit Maui, as we like the quiet and cooler temperatures, and central location on the island. The house had everything we needed - beach towels, sand toys, beach chairs and umbrella, small kitchen appliances, and a ton of washers and dryers so everyone could do laundry at the same time. The only negative was that the bathroom in the basement smelled awful. It was something we were able to tolerate but would reconsider staying in the basement if the problem isnt rectified. The owner was super responsive during our stay and also said she'd fix the bathroom issue. Overall we loved the place and we have wonderful memories from our visit. We look forward to returning.
Well equipped, beautifully decorated house. Excellent view. Owner very helpful and responsive to any questions. Mangos on trees which we enjoyed some of. Next to small farm with chickens (yes some crowing in the morning), goats, and cows which was fun. Centrally located on the island. Great stay.
Clean, comfortable, modern, calm friendly setting with amazing views. Tasey the owner/manager was kind, caring easy to talk to and work with. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home. Wmy grandkids were ready to move in permanently The home is well furnished and I would highly recommend to anyone We loved the quaintness of Makawao
Our family stayed here for a week, and it could not have been more perfect. The house was spacious, spotless, and incredibly well-stockedâthey truly thought of everything! From the little details to the big comforts, it felt like a home away from home. The location was amazingâclose to everything we needed but still peaceful and relaxing. We couldnât have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommend!
Gorgeous! We had a wonderful stay at this property. Super clean and everything you need for a relaxing stay in Maui. The host was very responsive and provided easy to follow instructions. The location was perfect. Quiet and relaxing, but easy to quickly get to town. Highly recommended!
This spot was fantastic. Great and clean home with good amenities. I stayed here with my family and we all felt like we had plenty of space to relax and enjoy our short vacation on the island. It was confusing at first, because downstairs is separate from the upstairs and can only be accessed through a separate door on the outside. The property The "2 acre" might be a little misleading. It's on a large plot of land, but it looks like most of it is owned by the neighbor and is used for livestock. It's fenced off from the backyard though. It's POSSIBLE that I don't have a good sense of area and it is actually two acres if you count the driveway, but it doesn't look or feel like two acres. That didn't dampen our experience though. We had a great time and felt like we had plenty of room.
We had a great time in Maui. The accommodations were great. Very nice home to stay in. All amenities are there. The fruit trees was a nice addition as well. There was a problem with the fridge but the owner was always in contact and rectified if very quickly. I would highly recommend staying here.
I have stayed in many rental homes and this is by far the best equipped rental home I have ever stayed in. We love to cook and usually canât find enough pots and pans and utensils and this house had them all.We also had the privilege of their neighbors having goats and baby goats and cows which we enjoyed seeing from the deck of the house The house was also close enough to major towns And easy to find I would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Maui
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful mountain home in Maui! The location is incredibly private, nestled on 2 lush acres, offering a peaceful escape with stunning views, including glimpses of the ocean. The house itself is spacious and well-appointed. The kitchen was fully equipped, making meal preparation a breeze, and the large dining area provided ample space for our group. For those staying on the lower level, the separate den and additional bedrooms were perfect, with easy access via the outside stairs. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring restful nights. We truly appreciated the thoughtful amenities and the tranquil atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind. This home had everything we needed and more. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxing getaway in Maui! The only complaint we had was the cleaners arriving before our checkout time, which made us feel a little rushed towards the end of our stay. Other than that, everything was perfect!
This property was awesome for our family of 10!! We appreciated the lawn chairs and beach toys. Having access to a washer and dryer was super nice!! Thank you!
Stunning and immaculate country home perfect for your Maui adventure. Comfortable and beautiful accommodation centrally located to all attractions. We would stay here again đŻ!
Great spot for seeing upcountry Maui and Haleakala NP!
Great spot! Really enjoyed upcountry Maui. Different than the typical beach vacation in Maui. Weather at this elevation is just perfect. Easy access to Haleakala. The house is spacious and was great for a large group. Well stocked and clean. We had a great time.
Only problem was getting into the house - code would not work, apparently an internet problem. Cypher Lock on upstairs door was in process of being replaced so had to use a single physical key. Otherwise, loved the house, the amenities (provided beach gear, grill, washer/driers, kitchen, etc. Master bed high for short-legged oriental. Relationship with owner exceptional.
My family and I had al wonderful time. The home was large enough for all of us to enjoy together and yet have our own little space. The location is so beautiful and quiet. I was able to get some good rest. The kitchen was clean and large enough to prepare meals for my family. The house was and property is clean and I am ready to book this home for another staycation đș
Mahalo nui,
Ohana Kanuha đș
We loved our stay in this well equipped, very clean and beautiful location. The house is luxurious and comfortable with an amazing view. Mahalo to the host for the easy and quick communication.
The house was wonderful for our stay, each couple/family had plenty of room separately and together. The location was great, very close to downtown Makawao which had good shopping and restaurants. The photos/description online was a little different for the downstairs, the living room space was better than the photos, and the kichen area had been turned into a sleep space, but everything else seemed to match well or be better than expected. Check in/out was very easy. Ammenities were great. There are goats and other animals on the neighboring properly that were fun to watch, the roosters crowing in the morning were a little loud for some of our group, but didnât bother everyone. Overall, we would definitely consider staying here again.
I grew up here on Maui by Mama's Fish House on the beach of Kuau with many fond memories of spear fishing, catching lobster, and grilling our catch on the beach. One day, me and my buddies were watching Don Ho singing, 'Tiny Bubbles' at Mama's Fish House as a young boy peeking in the window. As I grew, I went hunting for deer and pig upcountry. Then I knew, upcountry Maui could be my piece of paradise in the clouds. The tranquil cool breezes, lush greenery, and the many rainbow skies were for me.
Our piece of paradise is this mountain home. We work all day or play all day; then return to relax at our private country home. We enjoyed raising cattle, planting fruit, and flowers of different varieties to share with our family. The elevation keeps it cool and green year round. There are close amenities, shopping and activities.
Our sunsets, rainbows, and ocean view from the lanai at breakfast or early dinners. Where the home was built on the back of the property for privacy. The separate lower level for our older children; after a hard day at work, sometimes allowing our six children to invite cousins and friends to the lower level to watch their kid movies, play games, or listen to their stereo. The separate upstairs den, TV, and stereo for us adults. The master suite Jacuzzi for relaxing. Family cooking together and visiting outside our carport with the cool breeze. Where our children would run, bike, and play with no worries down the private drive. The small town amenities, activities, and the open green mountain pastures minutes away.
