Our family unfortunately had a negative first impression of our Stayz getaway. Our host was very impatient when requesting ID. Within 50hrs of making the booking, she threatened to cancel our stay and only give a 50% refund when I didnât send my ID through yet, because I had simply asked her why they required my ID. We wouldâve appreciated the House Rules to be easier to find (e.g. in the Description), because I only saw them during the booking process. We wouldâve also appreciated a certain timeline for when you have to provide ID, and the reason why ID needed to be provided. Additionally, we were unable to check-in due to being given the incorrect code for the key locksafe. Fortunately we were able to get in phone contact with the host, who explained that the cleaner had changed it earlier in the dayâŠ
Upon entering the accommodation it was clean, dĂ©cor was lovely and gave beach vibes. There were a few things that couldâve been improved on to make it a better stay: only 4 towels were provided for 5 guests, the living room couch blankets had sand in them, bathtub plug was missing, mugs were scratched and old, Venetian blinds were difficult to use, wall clock didnât work, and DVD/board games cabinet was a mess.
Overall our Stayz trip was a nice getaway, would consider coming back if clearer communication was available. However, props to the great pricing and proximity to town centre and beaches.
