Charmante maison de 2 chambres et 1 salle de bain dans une crique tranquille sur Smith Mountain Lake. Grande retraite pour une petite famille ou un couple. Chambre principale avec lit queen et TV écran plat, la 2ème chambre a un lit double et un lit jumeau. Salon confortable avec télévision à écran plat, réseau parabolique, cheminée à bois, grande table à manger et baie vitrée donnant sur le lac. Cuisine complète, laveuse / sécheuse empilable. Grande véranda grillagée. Foyer. Le locataire doit fournir ses propres draps ou contacter le web wegotyoucovered-sml.

Grande cour pour jouer pour profiter du jeu et deux beaux vélos et un kayak pour plus de plaisir! Grande collection de jeux de société et de films à apprécier. Très grand quai sur le lac avec 2 chaises de jardin, 4 chaises adirondack et parasol pour profiter de vos journées. Allée de gravier jusqu'à une rampe de bateau privée et une petite plage de sable. Très proche du parc d'État de Smith Mountain Lake et du club de golf Mariners Landing.
Nous ne fournissons ni draps ni serviettes. Articles à apporter: Linge de maison (serviettes, débarbouillettes, draps, taies d'oreiller) sacs poubelle, articles en papier (papier hygiénique, serviettes en papier), K-cups, lampe de poche détergente (vaisselle et linge). We had an absolutely amazing stay at this beautiful cottage on the lake! The location is incredibly peaceful and scenic, offering stunning views right from the porch and dock. Waking up to the sound of water and watching the sunset over the lake each evening felt like a dream.The cottage itself was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen had all the essentials, the beds were very comfortable, and the décor had a charming rustic-luxe vibe that made it feel like a true escape.The private dock was the highlight—we spent hours swimming, paddle boarding, fishing, and kayaking. We also brought our boat and had easy access to explore the lake right from the property.The hosts were thoughtful and responsive, providing clear instructions and great local recommendations. You can tell they really care about their guests’ experience.Highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking to relax, recharge, and enjoy nature. We’re already planning our next visit (fourth!!!).

Great Lake access and perfect home to enjoy it

It was a great time with our fur babies. We loved the dock and for easy entry (the fur kids could easily get out if the boat ramp or the grassy area)Also loved the screened in porch we ate dinners there every night. The proximity to the state park was also a plus and the neighborhood is quiet and seems to be off the beaten path. It’s a wide cove with deep water, but not super busy, which was great. Overall, it was a perfect first visit to the area we would like to return.

Nautical Nook

This is the second time my husband , dog and I stayed at Nautical Nook and it was equally as wonderful . We love the property- nice flat lawn close to the dock and lake ! We especially love the dock with its ample furnishings and potted flowers as well as the screened in porch ! The house was very clean and has basically everything you need for a stay at the lake . We had a small problem with the dryer during our stay - Donna and Robert got back to us almost immediately . Although it could not be repaired right away due to the need for a new part - they were extremely responsive and kept us informed about what was going on . Would highly recommend this property!

Great family vacation

Me and my family had a wonderful vacation along with my little dog who loved the yard. The house is listed as is small but very cozy. Had everything we needed and more, the dock and the water around it was amazing. Had I known we would've only rented a boat for 1 day, as this property has everything you would need and more. I would definitely stay again. And would stay longer. The water next to the dock is shallow and it gets deeper. Which is just perfect if you want to go out. Sllow It was quiet and the wildlife was amazing. I nearly had a deer eating out of my hand I would highly recommend this house to anyone I will definitely stay again . The owners were wonderful. Quick response to any questions we had. Definitely. Stay at this house if you have a small family, it will be wonderful.

Relaxing Week at Lake!

Very Relaxing Week at the Lake . The Cottage was just as Described on VRBO . Clean & Comfy perfect for a small Family or Couple with a Dog like. Us. The Grounds are what made it for us. The Dock is Exceptional and Courtesy Kayaks for the Lake was Great. Would For sure Come back!

We had a great time!

The lake was awesome. Rented a boat and used the rental dock. Owners were kind enough to allow us to stay an extra day. Deer are everywhere! Only negatives were no dishwasher, bathroom sink drained slow.

Quiet Oasis

This is the second time we've stayed at the Nautical Nook. We really appreciate the quiet location, the screened-in patio, well-kept lawn and dock area. It's a comfortable home and great place to relax for a few days.

Nature’s View

The Nautical Nook is very special. It is a quaint house very close to the water. The swimming area is for all ages and the dock was wonderful to sit and relax on. We also enjoyed having our morning coffee on the screened in porch - it’s a great feature. The house was very clean and met all of our needs. Thank you so much for letting our dog vacation with us. We loved our stay! We hope to go back next year. 😊

Great Stay

We had so much fun at nautical nook! Dock was fabulous and the on property boat launch was so convenient since we brought our boat with us. Nice yard with a fire pit. Screened in porch was great to enjoy meals outside without dealing bugs. This property also has weekly trash pick up (not all SML rentals offer this service) which is awesome!! Would definitely stay again!!

Fabulous lake property

Fabulous lake property Accurate description of the house, very small but perfect for a couple or small family. The screened in porch was fantastic and the view was beautiful . Such a short walk to a beautiful dock . Perfect location in a very quiet community. We love the property so much that we have already booked a week for next summer.

Just perfect!

Easy to rent through VRBO, matched exactly the online listing, but even better in person- awesome dock for gettin sun or chillin under the sun shades. Kids loved swimming, Dad loved fishing, Mom loved all of it and the dogs are now lake lovers too! Great cottage for spending most of your time in the best of all places- on the lake! -Matt

Quaint Cottage

The cottage was perfect for our small family. We spent hours on the new dock. We enjoyed swimming and kayaking in the quiet cove. Ideal location for those who like peaceful settings. There was a nearby marina from which we rented a boat and were able to dock at the cottage. Hosts were very attentive.

We are back!

This is our second time we stayed at Robert and Donna’s and it was even better than before. The cove, the dock, the cottage, the sunsets. All in one place. Our pup enjoyed paddle boarding with me and she couldn’t be happier (quiet cove, no waves). The cottage has all you need and the screened porch is a perfect hideaway if you get the rainy day. Thank you for sharing your little paradise with us. We hope to be back soon!

Hooked on the Nook

This is a very well maintained property, with a lot of warm touches to support the nautical theme. The screened-in porch was comfortable with plenty of seating, with great views of the water and amazing dock. Between the chairs near the fire pit, and plenty of seating on the dock, there's little need to pack any chairs. We appreciated all the flowers on the dock, and hope guests support the owners' wishes to help keep them watered. We enjoyed using the Kayaks provided by the owners, and our son loved jumping off the dock. There was plenty of wildlife on the property, to include a family of ducks that visited the house multiple times a day to enjoy some "critter crunch" that one can pick up at the nearby Food Lion in the pet food area.

Special anniversary getaway

We chose Nautical Nook for a short getaway to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. This property exceeded our expectations! It was cozy, very clean and well supplied. (even included travel soaps in the bathroom vanity) The kitchen well outfitted with everything needed (great coffee maker!). The screen porch is comfortable and even had string lighting to create a warm mood at night. The best part is the new dock.. large and comfortable with plenty of seating as well as a storage box with some water floats, etc. The location is on a quieter cove, great for hanging out, swimming, or paddling around in 1 of the 4 provided kayaks. The dock also has solar lighting which was excellent for enjoying the sunsets and cool evenings. Robert and Donna were vey responsive to our questions, even offering to resolve a small issue immediately. And the complimentary bottle of wine was icing on the cake! We hope to return and enjoy Nautical Nook again!

Slice of heaven at Smith Mt. Lake

This waterfront home has a large, gently sloping lot down to the water with large private dock, fully furnished with table w/umbrella and chairs along with nice lounger chairs and a love seat and coffee table. So nice! Beautifully landscaped to boot, including the dock!. 4 kayaks and life jackets were such a plus!!!! We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the lake a bit! Bicycles are included as well. The large private cove offers perfect location for kayaking, fishing and swimming. and just sitting on the dock! The large lot was perfect for our dog who slept very well after full days on and in the lake! The home was perfect for our needs and so nicely appointed! 2 bedrooms, so it's not huge, but very comfortable and nicely decorated. The front screened in porch was wonderful and we enjoyed watching skiiers, tubers and boats go by, while watching the birds, including hummingbirds. We couldn't be happier with our get away to A Nautical Nook and we look forward to returning!

Great little getaway!

The house was clean and neat. Exactly as advertised. Dock was amazing and had chairs and table already down there so we didn't need to carry ours down there. Quiet and beautiful. Owners did tell me ahead of time that they had a plumber coming out right before our check-in to do something with the Well. Later that night we had brownish water and contacted the owners. Robert responded immediately and we talked over the issue to determine that a little dirt probably got in the line when the plumber was working there. He was willing to send someone right out to us, but we decided to wait until the next morning too see if it would clear up. It did and it was smooth sailing after that. I've never rented from anyone so attentive. Definitely a plus! Go to the Nautical Nook.. you won't be sorry!

Cozy Nook

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Nautical Nook. We read the reviews before booking so we knew what to expect. Positive: The place was very clean. The lake looked wonderful however the weather was a bit cold to enjoy the water. We tried to fish but nothing was biting. We had a good time just hanging out. Negative: The place is very tight, and to many throw rugs. I would recommend doing the entire place in the hardwood flooring. Also recommend removing the dining table and shelf in the kitchen and add an island from the wall under the window with shelving and counter stools for seating. This would open up the place more. The dryer does not work. I washed 2 kitchen towels before leaving. The dryer kept turning off and would not dry. I tried every setting but I think the lint tube maybe blocked and needs cleaned out. Last the cottage needs paint on the exterior. Overall I would recommend the place for a small family up to 4. The porch was nice to hang out while it rained. The best part is the dock and the walk out to the water. I wish it was 20 degrees warmer and we would have been in the swimming hole the entire time.
