Cette cabine est un trésor familial. Construit comme la cabane de vacances originale sur Island Lane, route créée par mon père (professeur retraité des UVA) il y a une quarantaine d'années. Great Smith Mountain Lake emplacement! À droite sur le chenal principal adjacent au lac marqueur R-8 où les rivières Roanoke et Blackwater se rencontrent. Une vue imprenable sur le lac avec des couchers de soleil exquis vous appartient. Jetez un coup d'œil au lac depuis toutes les fenêtres, faites face au lac depuis le pont (comme sur un bateau et pourriez sortir dans l'eau) et quelques étapes plus bas vous amèneront à un quai stationnaire privé, où les bateaux peuvent être garés. À quelques pas du pont supérieur, vous aurez une vue parfaite sur les feux d'artifice du 4 juillet depuis la marina de Saunders Parkway.

Host is amazing! Very responsive to communication. House is in a beautiful location, very quaint and quiet. Went for a fishing tournament And plan on going back year after year.

My husband and his friend stayed at Laura‘s house for a fishing tournament. They said everything was great! The house was meticulously clean and very comfortable, with everything they needed. And the views were amazing.

Awesome place! Great vuews, great weather access, great SUP's that come with. So glad I got to enjoy it. BUT NO sheet nor towels certainly did not make it the paradise I expected. Simple hygiene really.

John K, I am sorry you neglected to read the RENTAL RULES, that you agreed to when you rented the property. It clearly stated for guests to provide their own bed linens and towels, and this is very common at many, many rental properties. Thank you for enjoying the place, though, and for your 5 star review. Just as the rental name says, "Love Sunsets?" had the best sunsets ever! The unit was spotlessly cleaned and had many things that made one feel so at home.

Dining on food fresh off the barbeque out on the deck to the accompaniment of a spectacular sunset, a troop of deer passing by and the song of various birds...What's not to like. We were looking forward to peace and quiet and found it. What followed our arrival was an acquaintance with indolence. Want some activity? Swim off the pier or rent a pontoon boat for a day and take a trip up the lake. Lovely house, lovely host. Lovely stay.

Great getaway spot

It was a great location to view the lake, and amazing sunsets! We had a great time here, even though the weather didn't cooperate for using the kayaks. There is a lot to do around the lake, and we didn't have any issues finding good places to eat nearby.

It was a wonderful stay, and super quiet. Just what we were looking for. There were things around the house we felt were not kept up with well, such as landscaping and exterior maintenance.

Thank you for a 4-star review. I am glad it was quiet and serene—for it is a special location at Smith Mountain Lake. The description does say “natural” and “rustic setting”. We are working on some outside maintenance: the roofing was just replaced, and the plans are to replace outdoor steps.

One can look up Smith Mountain Lake levels online. If you had needed to cancel or re-schedule, I would have worked with you, and refunded, if needed.

Nice location on the main part of the lake. Kitchen was well equipped. We had a relaxing week, just wish the weather had been better.

We loved it!

The cabin was beautiful and the view was amazing. We loved watching the sun set from the dock and had great fishing the whole time there. Will definitely be staying again in the future.

Nice weekend getaway

We had a relaxing weekend, loved being on the lake with the beautiful views. Enjoyed being in a cozy cottage, as we prefer cabins and cottages over the more fancy, palatial places!

This lake house is great. It is in a very quiet area on the water. It was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. We would definitely stay there again.
