Nice clean cabin

Amazing experience!

It doesn't have WiFi, but we were on vacation, and this was the type of "off grid" trip we wanted... and we got it, haha! I absolutely recommend staying here!

Great getaway

Reviewer Comments: Everything was great, the cabin was nice and clean.the only thing was I wish I had look for a higher cabin in the mountains when I booked online. the view was good, but I stay with Cove Mountain about every year, and I go 2 times a year. I just look being high up. over all it really was great!

Stay in Townsend

This was a great place to stay off the beaten path out from all the hustle and bustle. Our family enjoyed our time here. 1 downfall of no WiFi is you also get Zero service in this location. So it made it hard to plan your days and we had to drive up the hill to get enough reception to check in. The mattress in the main bedroom needs replaced unless you like to automatically roll to the center. Other than those smaller issues the cabin was great, it was very peaceful and a nice ending to our days. It has a great view of the mountains and the kids loved the hot tub.

Nice location, clean, but needs maintenance

Property nice, but in need of some maintenance. Trees by decks need to be trimmed, they block what could be an awesome view. Carpenter bee problem, wood chips and saw dust fall from the beams overhead. Upstairs deck rail weakened by bees. Did have a mouse chew thru a canvas bag left on the kitchen counter the 2nd night. TVS need to be upgraded. Otherwise roomy, very clean, great location.

Rocky Top Joy

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great cabin for the price. Very clean, close to Cades Cove(our favorite place in the mountains). The decor was a little old fashioned but it was perfect for our 45th wedding anniversary! Made us feel young again 😊!We were greeted by a mom’s bear and her two cubs on the first night. Very impressive hospitality!😂A few things to note, the address is not on the sign where you turn🥴making a few missed attempts at first. The only number was the cabin next to us. Sorry to say the hot tub jets were very weak but the water was warm and clean. The mountain view was pretty but we have had better views with a panoramic view. The noise of traffic on the road below was very loud( hyway 321)We got use to the trucks and cars but was surprised we could hear the traffic morning and night. It overall was a very good place to stay for the money and we will be back for a visit in the future. The price was very reasonable and the time we had was wonderful!

Nice Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall Beautiful cabin with the most amazing views! Loved being able to use the swimming pool as well. There were a few issues however. We did not realize there was no WiFi or cell service. It was very inconvenient to have to drive down the street to have internet or make phone calls. Also, the couch in the living room needs to be replaced. The cushions are completely torn up. Finally there are bats living in the eaves or attic. The top floor balcony had a lot of bat feces on it. We swept it off, but it just continued to accumulate out whole stay. These three things would be the only reasons we would likely not stay again. Otherwise the cabin was beautiful and the property management company was easy to work with.

July 2022 Stay for 10 days

We have been coming to the Smoky mountains for over 20 years. In that time we've stayed at approximately 30 different cabins. This cabin was by far the worst. Here is just a small list of things that were wrong. The knobs on the washing machine were broken. The pool table side pocket was broken. Both drain plugs for both bathrooms were broken. the blondes in the living room were broken. Which is small, but should have been fixed. The TV in the living room was broken. They had the decor in here that was broken. There was no hangers. No place to put your trash. Which most places have a bear proof Bins to put it in. The fireplace was broken, it would not turn on and it was missing bricks. That's just some of the things that we found. I strongly recommend looking at different cabins. Hank and Mindy Marquez

Parking is very minimal, not suitable for larger vehicles. The bedsheets and comforter in one bedroom needs replaced as they have stains on them. Lots of room for improvement

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have used Cove Mountain Realty many times over the past decade, and this would easily be ranked my lowest visit. Upon arrival to the cabin, the maintenance worker was removing the outside trash cans and grill, stating it was because of bears. We were told we had to drive our garbage 20 minutes to the Cove Mountain office for the duration of our stay. The listing said the cabin slept 6. There was no bedding or pillows for the pullout couch. We went to the office and they gave us a flat sheet and blanket, but did not have any pillows for two of our children.There were 3 chairs for seating on the deck. They give you one single dishwasher packet. Half of the pool cues were missing tips and there was no chalk.The view was nice and the jacuzzi was clean. The cabin is in a great location and it was cozy and private.There was no WiFi. I did overlook that on the listing, so that is on me. However, not having WiFi and no cell signal makes for poor planning as many things we do requires buying tickets online and making reservations. The staff was polite but unwilling to go above to help with the issues. We will be seeing what else is out there when we plan next year’s visit.

Do not stay with this company!!!

Reviewer Comments: We stayed in cabin Rocky Top Joy the stay was gifted to us by our father so that all of us with kids could get away. Upon arrival we had bought groceries for our stay so we weren’t eating out every night we learned real quick the refrigerator wasn’t working properly, we booked this cabin because it included a pool table all the pool sticks were broken with no tips on them, the kitchen had broken cabinet drawers and all the windows were nasty with cobwebs all over them each guest pays a hefty cleaning fee by the way, also we had 8 in our group so we needed to utilize the pull out couch bed it was broken it took three of us to even pull it out then that person slept lopsided all weekend. We reported the couch bed the refrigerator and pool sticks to maintenance they did bring us two new pool sticks looked at the refrigerator said it would be resolved but then they never came back. That’s not including the spray foam used to fix holes in the wobbly railing on the back porch that hangs over a bluff!!! I have stayed in pigeon Forge countless times but never through a reality company and I never will again I will stick to cabin companies that take more pride in maintaining their properties highly disappointed but even more disgusted knowing it cost over $900!!! Oh and my name isn’t Loura it’s Laura props to the rude reservation department!!!

Not what we expected.

Reviewer Comments: When we arrived we had to contact the company to come and cut down the trees that were blocking any type of view. There were broken boards on the balcony and if anyone had small children could be a safety issue. We have stayed with Cove Mountain 5 times previously and each time had been extremely happy but this was by far our worst cabin.

Treated Terrible/They broke contract with no notice to us

Reviewer Comments: Booked Bear Hug sleeps 8, Feb 3, 23.Rcv'd email taken off program wanted to put us in 6 person cabin,Rocky Top Joy.Deciding what to do rcv'd email owner put Bear Hug back on program could stay there. Called to confirm asked if the owner could change mind again.Frances told me I hope not(really reassuring).Less than 24 hrs to leaving,went on the app to print off directions& ocky Top Joy was showing as cabin.Called&April was not concerned& said was no other cabins,said Bear Hug was only 6 person cabin.I said the description/pictures says 8 why we booked.10 person cabin available,she lied,of course didn't want to put us in that.April said they had been trying to reach us since Feb.,leaving emails&voicemails.I said we never rcv'd anything, except email giving us info on checkin confirmed they had correct contact info.Asked for proof of emails/phone calls,she was looking.After looking she said she had no proof.I said that that is correct you didn't do your job.She said you wouldn't be able to stay in it anyway the pipes had burst&the owner didn't get them fixed in time that's why it was taken off program again.I told her we were never informed,just told it was taken off program with no explanation.She said oh.I told her didn't understand how they could do this,we have taken time away from work, made reservations,still no concern,she could refund money.I said they broke contract&did not give us notice,they needed to fix it.She didn't care. Refunding wouldn't help,takes 2-3 business days,if not longer,to post to credit card,can't book anywhere last minute.I said would contact attorney since they broke contract,she hung up wouldn't answer when called back called realty side they hung up on me.I asked to speak to manager, was told no one was on duty&they would not give me # to contact manager.Used phone with different area code,they answered&said oh you want it.Can't sleep on road.Pullout couch was broke no one wanted to come fix it, said oh well owner would have to buy new

great place to stay. I will say the downstairs was much cooler than upstairs though. I didn't know but there isn't wifi either. kinda difficult because the signal is hit or miss there. but overall a great experience. would definitely rent again

Nice location

For the positives, Love the location, we went down for Jeep invasion, it is close enough to both Cade's Cove and Pigeon Forge. Nice quiet and with a secluded feel even though there is a neighbor. Clean-up was a breeze, the easiest, other places have a check list a mile long. Check in and out was quick and easy all done by the phone. Communication was great we needed to add a night, so I emailed them, they responded with in minutes, which made the process quick and easy. There are a few minor negative things that could improve, but certainly not worth passing this place up for, the pictures are definitely outdated, trees REALLY block the view, railing are loose upstairs and downstairs, address is hard to find (it's not out at the main driveway, its back the right in front of cabin which we drove right by), we had 4 people there for 5 days/4 nights and only had 8 towels for showers and hot tub, no Wi-Fi was a bummer, and trying to figure out how the remotes (all of them were in living room)to the TVs was comical, beds not very comfy.

Townsend Cabin. Lovely

We enjoyed our stay here. The property was quite, clean, and stocked with all the essentials you’ll need to cook, grill etc. Very spacious, two stories. Had a pool table which was nice to play, and of course the hot tub, which actually works as it should, and was very clean. Overall, we would rate our stay here a 4 out of a 5. Only negative thing was no WiFi.
