The view was great. Condo was as described as far as size/furnishings. Was convenient to all things local.Bed mattress needs to be replaced - it felt like it had been well worn and there were intentions on both sides from all the previous guests. If you laid in the middle and then rolled over, youâd quickly roll down into one side or the other. The hall bathroom fan switch wouldnât shut off all the way and had to be âbalancedâ in the middle to keep it off. The bedroom shower doors wouldnât slide - had to be physically lifted and moved because there wasnât a track for them to slide in. Sand in the recliner foot rest and visible dust/particles/hair on the wall by the ceiling air vent and on wall. Seems the cleaner does the bare basic minimum.
Beautiful condo, great decor, and the view was amazing. Brett/Robinson was very easy to work with and kept us informed of everything important. My only issue is that there was some mold in the bathrooms on the back of the sinks and on the tub/shower enclosures. I know this is typical for beach places, but it was icky and seemed like it could have been cleaned up. However, overall, definitely recommend thix condo.
Problems began weeks before check-in and didn't stop.
-Poor communication. 4 emails (3 unanswered) and three phone calls ( two "no answer" well within business hours) just to get my bill paid.
-Floor number didn't match room key number
- Obvious food smears on fridge.
-Bathtub spout heavily tarnished and chrome flaking off into tub.
-Clear shower control knob showing disgusting sludge build-up inside of it.
-Heavily stained hand towel folded and presented to us as cleaned and ready for use (it was, however, folded nice and cute on the bask of the toilet).
-Balcony furniture disparately needs replaced. My wife's powder blue robe now has battle scars in a deep rust tone from the arms and back of the chair.
-Paint spatter in both sides of kitchen sink.
-No available info on area attractions or events.
- No info for restaurants or clubs, nothing!
-No electrical outlets near the bedroom night stands. I had to pull the bed away from the wall to use the one behind the headboard.
I could go on but I won't. I think you get my point.
We left dissatisfied and at a point I felt I should simply drop off the keys and chalk it up as a learning experience. Therefore, I deposited the keys, said nothing and left. Sometimes, it's probably best to simply say nothing. My wife says I am not very good at that - lol.
We have visited this area of the gulf for nearly 30 years and have never had a need to leave anything negative as review. This trip, however, was much different start to finish.
The condo overall was smaller than i expected, but we had a really great time! The best thing is this building was not overcrowded at the beach or pool. Totally recommend!
The view was amazing from this condo! The location, right on the beach was fantastic!
The unit itself was ok. It was a bit dark. Next time I would opt for a corner unit to have more light. The floors seemed a bit sticky, but overall it's unit was clean. The sheets could use a major upgrade. They felt very cheap and not good.
Be sure to bring everything that you would need, such as bathroom tissue (only one roll per bathroom was provided) dishwasher soap (again only one was provided) and hand soap. If you like to make eggs in the morning you might want to bring your own non stick pan. Only stainless Steel was provided.
Check in and check out was easy.
We liked being on the 14th floor, and in a smaller complex.
Overall it was a great relaxing beach vacation!!
We loved 1404 Royal Palms! Bed was extremely comfortable and the cleanliness was top notch! Wonderful views and very relaxing! This is our 3rd time at Royal Palms and our 2nd one for 1404... we will definitely be back! Had an issue with the dryer and called Brett Robinson and it was resolved the same day -- good location for fishing and a lovely quiet beach.
