La grande douche extérieure est parfaite pour prendre une douche après une journée sur la plage. Grand salon ouvert sur la salle à manger et la cuisine pour un maximum de convivialité. Détendez-vous sur le porche couvert avant ou profitez des jeux de jardin dans la grande cour arrière. Awesome vacation home!!

This was our second time staying in this fabulous beach cottage and we will definitely be back next year. The location is great and the house is PERFECT for our family of 5. Prime location close to Food Dudes and Surfin' Spoon...2 of our favorite spots.

Best Little Cottage on the Beach!

My wife, son and I have been traveling to the OBX the last several years. Growing up my family would stay for two weeks each year in south Nags Head. Did this for 30 years! Now we take our small family every year. This place is great if you want to have the OBX experience from Kill Devil Hills to Corolla all the way South to Buxton. In the middle of it all! On a very quite street, easy beach access, and near all of the best local resturaunts. This house is the true old OBX experience. Tastefully decorated in beach theme and cozy to relax in after a long day on the beach. You can't ask for more!

Nice beach box/bugalow

The cottage was nice! Clean and well-appointed, the home was a nice weekend getaway. Beach access is a short, easy walk away (3 minutes leisurely is accurate).

Charming and cozy

My husband and I spent the weekend at this home for our 1 year anniversary and were totally impressed by the home. The home is very well stocked when it came to kitchen dishes, cooking pots and pans and utensils. We cooked fresh seafood in the home the first night there and there was not a single item we couldn't find stocked in the home. It was a perfect getaway for just us two, but has plenty of room if you wanted to bring more guest. The ceiling woodwork in the living room and dining room was gorgeous, and the home was decorated nicely. The beach access was right down the road so you didn't have to go far to reach the beach. Very quick walk to the beach and the outside shower was convenient for rinsing your feet off upon returning. Plenty of parking if you were to bring multiple vehicles. Wifi never messed up and had a solid connection. I take Spanish online and was a little worried at first because you never know how Wifi is at rentals. However, there was always a clear, working connection. There was plenty of movie and game choices as well. Bed was comfy and we had no problems the entire weekend. Towels being provided was very helpful. The owner was super informative and gave clear directions on everything before our arrival date, so we didn't have to contact her all weekend. We can't wait to come back and stay in this home again!

Nice clean house, great size for us. Close to the beach.

The house is clean and located just a few minutes walk to the beach. My complaints had nothing to do with the house itself. The beach it is closest to is quite crowded. We wound up driving to quieter beaches. There were 4 nights of 7 where refrigerated trucks parked overnight across the street. It could be a bit noisy with their engines cycling on and off. Minor complaints, not at all house related. We enjoyed our stay.

What a perfect vacation spot!

This place had everything we needed - from easy beach access to coffee filters. My family and I loved every day we were there and can’t wait to come back next year! Lori was the consummate host, answering all my questions within moments of me asking them. All in all, a perfect 10.

Dream vacation

Found there was plenty of activities around,very quite neighborhood,family friendly. The house was comfortable ,clean and loved sitting on the deck. Easy walk to the beach. Nice area to have a bicycle available .

Ideal location, plenty of space and the comforts of home!

Hello! I brought my family (2 adults, 3 kids ages 5-newborn) to OBX July 4th week. Lori (owner) was very prompt in her responses and accurate with the description of her property. This place is so close to the beach! You can literally see the public access path from the side porch. The air-conditioning kept us cool on super hot days and the large front porch provided a great spot for us to hang out. The house was clean and provided all furnishings! I rented a golf cart while we were down here which made trips to the grocery store convenient! Great place!

Great house for family of four very close to the beach!

My wife and I and 2 young boys stayed for a week and loved this property! It's very convenient to the beach and numerous dining options within walking distance. The living quarters were extremely comfortable....we felt like we were at home. The kitchen is very well stocked which allowed us to cook at home when we felt like staying in. There was also a nice back yard for the kids to run around and for cookouts. Would definitely recommend and we plan to return to this house again.

A Good Place to Stay

Even during rain and furious winds, the house is very sound. Kitchen was well stocked with staples and utensils. I baked a couple of times and whenever I reached for a spatula or whisk or pan it was there! Plumbing and AC were perfect. When we sat in the rockers on the front porch, the neighbor said we looked "cute" and contented. All retail needs are very nearby, but cannot be seen. We were a little disappointed in the beach - - sand was very rough with broken shells; hard to walk on if that's what you want. We just drove a few minutes south to another public access and it was much better. We hope to be back soon!

Great little place - Central to everything OBX offers

We have stayed at this property now for several years with our small family of three and never have been disappointed. (We actually stay for two weeks each time) This little place is perfect for your small family and has all the comforts of the OBX experience of the old time beach boxes, and decorated in cottage style tastefully for your family to enjoy a relaxing time at the beach at a very reasonable price. I would recommend this place to any family or friends. Located at mile post 9.5 this place puts you central for everything your family needs to experience the OBX, whether driving down to Hatteras to see the Light House, up to Carova to see the wild horses, or staying local for everything Kill Devil Hills and Kitty Hawk has to offer, you will not be disappointed. The house is on a quite street and crossing beach road at the cross walk is simple 3 min walk for a day at the beach. I can't forget to mention Mama Kwans at the west end of the street. Some of the best fish tacos on the OBX. Also, since our son is 10 we have our yearly putt putt tournament and hit every course in town. All the activities, restaurants, piers, and fishing are a short walk or drive from the house. If you are new to the OBX, make sure you pick up the Sunny Day, or Traveler Guide Magazines at the Harris Teeter or one of the many Souvenir shops. It will provide you ideas and discounts to many of the restaurants and attractions. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay. The owner takes care of the place well, responsive to anything that may come up and has been very easy to work with. We have already said to the owner we will be going again next year. Best Family Vacation Ever!

This house was perfect for our family of 5. The location is ideal, walking distance to the beach, a short walk to the best froyo place in OBX...the Surfin' Spoon and tons of amazing places to eat. Lori is so wonderful and truly cares about making your vacation perfect. The house was nicely furnished and plenty of room for a family game night, breakfast on the deck and overall just enjoying time with family. We can't wait to return this summer and every summer after that:) Thanks for everything Lori!

Awesome Cottage In The Heart of OBX!!

Lori, Your beach home is the absolute perfect getaway cottage on the OBX for an off season weekend as we did or for a small family in season. My wife and I needed a vacation from our "family beach vacation" and your home was the answer to what we were looking for. The cottage is maticulously maintained, the beach furnishings including the beds were cozy and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the location close to the beach (200 yds) and many of the awesome restaurants and attractions was a big plus!! 26 years ago we started vacationing every summer in the OBX and as I had mentioned, for the first 10 years before our family began to grow, we stayed in a cottage very similar to yours on Clark St. Very fond memories of those days and our stay at your cottage brought back many of those great times!! Thanks!! We have already recommended your home to close friends of ours who love to get away as we do. We will definitely be back!!

Cool little beach house

I have to say for the size of the house it was very suitable for 4 people. We weren't sure of which beach access to use, so I emailed Lori and she answered very quickly. It is a very nice house with all the amenities and within walking distance to some stores. We traveled to the Bodie Lighthouse and the aquarium. We hit a couple of mini golf courses as well and visited Dairy Queen of course. We also ate at Big Al's in Manteo, Kill Devil grill and Outback steakhouse. All other meals were made at the house.

Wonderful beach cottage!

Very close to attractions yet on a quiet street. Three houses up from the beach. Well maintained and clean. Had all the kitchen items we needed. Laurie returned our calls or emails within hours. She gave us suggestions for places to eat and local grocery stores. There were books, puzzles and games available for evenings. Nice selection on Cable/TV. Internet access also. Local activity guides in the cottage. One bedroom queen mattress seemed worn, but bearable. We had a great stay.

Delightfully Quaint Cottage Sun, Sand, Surf Approved!

As our family has grown we've found a need for larger accommodations with more living space & this cottage provided just that. Beautifully decorated & yet kid friendly allowed all of us to feel at home & comfortable. The cottage kitchen is fully supplied with dishes, utensils & pots & pans. Everything you'd need as if you were home. The short walk to the beach was manageable but I would suggest a large wheeled wagon if hauling kids toys & lots of extras. If you go out the front street there's a small public access next to the Ramada with lots of steps or you can go out the back at a slight diagonal to a large sandy access. We found the large sandy access more accommodating & beach spacious. The outdoor shower is refreshing & most of us preferred it over showering indoors. The washer & dryer convenience was fantastic! This was the first time we didn't stay ocean front & I did miss my morning coffee sunrise on the balcony in my pajamas with the waves crashing. However, the cottage balcony welcomed me just the same & I met a few neighbors out for early walks. Lori is great to work with & available via email & phone for any questions. The in-house electronic instructions were spot on accurate & the area restaurant list is an added bonus.

Nice Beach Bungalow

This place comes highly recommended, very clean and spacious and nicely decorated. My two young children had enough space in the open concept dining and living room. The big shower underneath made cleaning off the sand very helpful in the evenings, especially with small children-we all could fit in there! Walking distance to some restaurants and beach access was really close.

Great Beach House

Traveled with my wife and two year old son. House was great, big enough so we all had space and a great fenced in front porch to relax after a day at the beach. Location is great - quiet street, walking distance to the beach and restaurants. (Public beach access on the Ramada's board walk, just look for the little path just to the right of the hotel.) Rented bikes and other necessities from OBX Vacation Rental two blocks away, could not have been easier. Lori was very helpful through the whole process. Perfect beach week location. Will absolutely consider renting again next time we go to Outer Banks.
