The property comes with a parking pass for an oceanfront parking lot right next to the Avalon Fishing Pier.

We loved this clean, decorative vacation home. It is homey, and has all the things you need.It is about a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute drive to beach/ pier. I look forward to staying there again for vacation

Summer Vacation

This was our second vacation to the Outer Banks and the first time staying on the islands. This is the best way to experience the Banks. Anyone thinking of vacationing here needs to do the same.

Wonderful holiday week

Had a 5 night stay around the July 4th holiday with a group of 4 other adults. The property was lovely and had everything we needed with plenty of room for all of us to fit comfortably. Greg was a wonderful host and was always quick to answer any questions or give us a heads up about weather. Loved our stay and hope to be back.

Lovely Cottage to Close Out Our Summer!

We stayed at this lovely cottage for 6 nights over the Labor Day holiday. It was spacious for my husband and me, and still big enough for when our daughter and son-in-law joined us for a few nights. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked with all the essentials. The location was great, with around a 10-minute walk to the sound, and the street was quiet and peaceful. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again!

Cozy Beach Cottage Close to Everything!

We had an amazing stay! It was so cute and had everything we needed. We have a child under 2, so it was nice that there weren’t a lot of steps. Everything was close by (including Target!!). The owner was responsive and nice. The beds were comfy, there was an outdoor shower, it was a perfect stay!!

Convenient to North and South Beaches

Greg was helpful and responsive. He offered a low stress stay and was helpful when we were asking for attractions. The house was clean and close to the beach. We always had a spot to park at the resident lot. The chairs and umbrella were well used as well as the boogie boards. Great place to stay!

Gorgeous and comfortable cottage

This is an absolutely fabulous and cozy cottage! Communication with Greg was wonderful. The cottage was perfect for us, extremely comfortable and very clean. I could tell Greg has put a lot of effort into having everything there that you can possibly think of. We loved our stay there this past week and we would definitely stay there again

Charming bungalow in KDH

I chose the rental due to not a lot of stairs. My sister is battling cancer and wanted to go to the beach a few days. The price is right and flexible dates to accommodate the one week in the month there would be no chemo.Very nice little bungalow tastefully furnished & decorated to create the perfect atmosphere for the beach. Access to park on sound side with beautiful view of the sunset. Includes parking pass at Avalon Pier. Everything you need for a stay at the beach is included: beach chairs, umbrellas, bicycles, grill, fire pit in backyard. Everything you need to enjoy a stay at the beach. No need to pack beach gear or linens made the trip so much more enjoyable. Favorite restaurants & grocery store nearby so no need to run up & down Hey 12. Located in a nice quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend KDH Bungalow. This is a place I imagine we will become an annual pilgrimage. Feels like it’s yours without the Mortage lament every month!

Good location - not so good communication - BEWARE

First, I have never stayed at a property that did not provide house rules either before are upon entering the property. We were provided the house rules the last night of our 5 day stay. As for the cleanliness of the house - upon first view, the house appears very clean, however, when you start to get deeper into it, the refrigerator was full with items that should have been discarded and the bathroom had a lot of personal items. We were not sure who all these items belonged to, but it seemed quite unsanitary, especially if one was to follow the COVID restriction and cleaning rules. My final thought on this property was quite unnerving. On our last day of our trip, we were out and about in the area, upon our return in the early evening, we noticed the trash bin had been moved from the curb to the back of the house. What was unnerving was, when we entered the house, things were not how we left them. Upon asking the host about this, after 24-hours, I have not received any kind of response on whether someone had actually entered the home. BEWARE, the communication is sketchy, if you receive any type of timely response.

Very nice little house to stay in. Was perfect for 4 people. Had an outdoor shower, nice yard and picnic table, clothes line. There were beach chairs, umbrellas, canopies and a cart for the beach. Good location, and they supplied us with a parking pass for the Avalon Pier area which was really convenient. Only downsides of this house were the floors. A little creaky/noisy. Obviously was only a problem when sleeping and you had to get up. But other than that, we would stay here again! Check in process was super simple and the hosts were very prompt on communication.

Perfect beach bungalow

This was the perfect beach house. It was the right size for my husband and me. It had all of the things one would need from linens to beach equipment. The host, Greg, was easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!!

Cozy house with great location

This house was just perfect for our family of 4. The house was just the right size, beautifully decorated, had very comfortable beds, and Greg provided so many supplies and extras that made packing for and staying at the beach so much easier. The shed had a lot of beach supplies (chairs, boards, etc.) and the house came with a beach parking pass that was super convenient. The house was in a great location and close to all you would need, while being down the main road just enough to not have all the traffic noise. Overall we were so pleased with this house and would come back in a heartbeat.

I have owned this property since 2013 having fallen in love with it during a stay at OBX. I live in Virginia Beach, VA and visit OBX most weekends when I can.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Once you see or stay at this cute bungalow, you will fall in love with it and the location. Very easy access to the Ocean and the property comes with a parking past for the community lot oceanfront and the lot sound side giving access for kayak or SUP.

The home has two bedrooms and one bathroom. It also has a fold out sofa and a futon. The kitchen is well furnished with all the amenities one could want.
