Great location to relax!

We spent our anniversary in Destin and this location was perfect! Easy walk to the beach, good views, easy check-in/out process, close to all the popular spots (East Jetty/O’Steen Beach access being our go-to). The foundation does need to be looked at because the doors were a little hard to open in the bedroom and bathroom, but that is a minor thing. We truly enjoyed our stay and we hope we can bring our kids here next summer!

Relaxing

Could use more pots/pans, blankets and extra set of towels. Also, would be nice to have at least salt & pepper. Location and balcony was perfect. I understand you just have to bring towels across the street to house keeping to get another set, just kept forgetting. Overall would stay again if I could be in the same location on property. Staff awesome.

The unit could not have been cleaner. 2 things: Needs a rug or foot mat as you enter for times when your feet are wet from rain or perhaps you didn’t get all the sand off. Otherwise you track up the floors with your first step inside. Please provide more than 1 roll of toilet paper. And we had NO paper towels.

DVD players and HBO is obsolete in this day and age. Also, the air conditioning vent blower was loud and drowned out the sound of anything else. Had to raise and lower the volume of the TV every time. Very annoying

Terrific t8me at Sandpiper, BUT .......

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a GREAT stay. Very nice condo. PROS:: very well decorated, plenty of dishes, glasses, tableware, etc. VERY. Clean,. perfect location to the beach.loved sitting on the balcony, drinking our coffee and watching the gulf waves. CONS: this condo does NOT offer beach chairs or umbrella and the cost was $35/half day and $48/full day rental for 2 beach chairs and umbrella. This is the thirds time I have rented at Sandpipr and the first time I have had to pay those fees. Very disappointing after spending so much in rental fees. Also, the sleeper sofa was AWFUL - because it was so uncomfortable, it was basically unusable. It desperately needs a mattress topper or something. Two people ended up sharing the king bed but that was NOT the plan. I will rent from Sandpipere again, but NOT this condo.

Amazing

Super last minute trip. Found this gem on VRBO and booked it! Very affordable, the property was secure and very private, the condo was decorated very nice, and super comfy. I love how it’s right there close to everything. Beach side was a bonus - you can’t beat the views. 10/10 in my book! I will be back 🤩

Reviewer Comments: The condo was very cozy and we enjoyed our stay.The only issue we had was we wanted to come in a day early and the phones at Sandpiper wasnt working and we couldnt reach anyone. I felt the website or facebook page should have offered an additional contact number as the condo was available. Also the cleaning crew had left the ventfan heater on in the condo and the unit was about 76 degree when we entered the unit. the vent fan heater should be marked so as to not be left on.

Aggravating and disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The title states it all. The Cockroaches, the dirty deck with bird droppings all over the furniture and rails very unsanitary and disgusting. The sliding door handle was a metal piece, needed a towel to open and close it. No screens either. The side deck, well disgusting- and gross. Kitchen island counter top so loose, if popped up if leaned on it. Bulbs outs.The fans were so filthy, we would not turn them on. Large bathroom, but not functional, no hooks for towels or your clothes.A rug or something for the floor when you step out all wet, could of slipped. Could of been more bath towels( just 2 hand towels)I have had Chocolates placed on my pillow bigger than the soap bars. The only mirrors were in the bathroom. Sand and beach chairs in the bedroom clothes closet...hmm...and the bottoms of our feet were so black we needed to wear footwear all the time!!!We called the office after arriving about the filthy deck and such. Never hearing back throughout our stay. I have stayed in another property unit there on the beach as well...the two units were like night and day....stay away from unit 2117....

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great experience in this condo. There were a few minor things that could have made it a total 5-star rating. Kitchen was short on pots and pans. Found a coffee cup and plate in cabinet that were not clean. One cabinet should be left empty for guests to store food. Needed a baking sheet. There was only one dish towel in kitchen. Coffee maker did not have auto off. Ice maker was empty when we got there and took a long time to make ice. Then it wouldn’t dispense through the door. Dishwasher was extremely loud. A second stool for the tall table on the deck would have been nice. Lights on the stairs would have been a welcome safety feature. Even with porch light on, we had to use flashlight. We loved the location, the views, the large bathroom, the layout, the furnishings, and the washer/dryer. We would definitely stay there again.

Great location ... cleanliness not so much!

We had a great stay here and will consider coming back, only with a water mop and broom 😅. The floor in the kitchen had so much dirt built up it was black. I can’t imagine someone came to clean between rentals. My kids played on the area rug for no longer than 20 minutes and their legs and hands were black. Overall we loved it as I stated above, just wasn’t clean at all. Sucks that you have to pay a cleaning fee, only to have to go spend money to clean up a place you pay to stay to relax. 🙃
