Excellent ocean view getaway!

This condo has a lot to offer. It is probably about the best view of the ocean you can have. The sofa and bed are very comfortable. I was relieved to see the fan over the bed. I sleep with a floor fan, which I left at home. I was afraid I was going to have to go to Wal-Mart there and buy one. Thank goodness that was supplied by the owners. I love the decor. The oil paintings, fish, and parrots are all so precious. The only complaints were that some of the lights had burned out bulbs. I did not really have sufficient lighting to read at night unless I sat at the bar in the kitchen. There was also some construction work going on at one of the joining units that caused noise, which is only temporary, but I happened to be one of the guests during that time. The maid service could do a better job with cleaning the condo. I was going for the view and location though, and it met my expectations, so I was overall happy with my stay and plan to return in the future.

Perfect setting

The location of this property is perfect for those who want beachfront ambiance. The condo is older and need of some repair. The furniture and bed were comfortable. We were appreciative of the beach chair and umbrella.

So much potential!

Our stay at this pet friendly property was sufficient. The condo has a ton of potential, but quite a bit is dated and/or in need of repair, as many other reviews have stated. If you want somewhere "fancy" (which we didn't), this won't be for you. If you only want to be on the beach and have somewhere to eat, shower and sleep, then you've got it here!! The owners are very nice and responsive!! I hope they have the opportunity to invest more into this property in the near future- especially to repair the soft spots in the floor and the back deck. I also think the cleaning person could do a better job.

We had a great time at a great location on the beach and a couple suggestions

We love your condo location. We're glad it was available for our first stay in Destin. We have two small dogs under 6 years old, one with a life threatening heart condition. It was very accommodating for us and our pups. We loved the big deck as well!! We have a couple minor suggestions, though. Let me know if I can email them to you directly. Perfect Location!

We had an amazing time here! We stayed for 2 weeks and will definitely come back again! The bathroom is a little dated, but didn’t bother us a bit! Everything was so close and the view is breathtaking!!

The view & location were awesome! Did have a issue with the shower head. It fell off the end of the water metal tubing. Notified owner & she called me back promptly. The plumber did not show up before I had to leave to travel home. Was difficult to shower with the water coming out of the metal tubing. I was concerned about the mold around the shower & windows. Bed was wonderful, unit had everything needed for my stay....loved the location. Will try for this unit again for my next visit to Destin. Thank you!!!

Location, Location, Location!!

From the time we stepped into the condo we couldn’t believe we had the perfect place to stay for our vacation. The condo was just what me, my husband and Yorkie needed. It had The most amazing view from our deck and directly on the beach. The bedroom, the bathroom, the living room and kitchen was perfect for us. I would recommend anyone stay here if they want a nice, clean condo on the beach!

Location location location- that’s all it’s about

If location/view and proximity to the beach are your priorities and you want a clean serviceable place that has what you need- and in very close proximity to anything you could possibly want. this is the place. Is it dated? Yep. Does it need some repairs? Yep a few. But, when you have that beach and those views - does it really matter? I vote no. The bed was super comfy. The walk to the beach takes one minute. The beach bar and chair service are super convenient. The beach itself was one of the nicest we’ve ever seen. Absolutely spectacular sand and water. There is a shower at the foot of your private deck for your convenience and chairs if you don’t want to rent. just pack your beach towel and sunscreen and you’re good to go. Lastly- the owners were very communicative and helpful when we had a small issue with the door access. I feel they were very available and appreciated that.

Great view but Condo needs some repairs

You cant get much closer to the beach. The view is perfect. The condo has everything you need. Kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans and anything else you might need to cook with. The condo was clean but could use some serious deep cleaning. It is an older unit that needs a lot of little things fixed. The biggest issue i saw was the bathroom floor. The subfloor is rotten and so soft in some areas I was scared we might fall through. And the connecting platform on the deck at the top of the stairs is very soft with rotten boards but the stairs are fine. The bed was comfy. The leather coach and recliner was comfortable to sit on but the recliner is broken and very hard to get it to recline and put it back down. My kids slept on the pull out couch comfortably. I wasn't aware that we would have to cross the 4 lane street to get to all the pools and other amenities. That information was not in the description. The washer is new but the dryer is very rusted and old. The microwave needs replacing, it has paint peeling and rust. But for the price, it was an okay rental, especially if they would fix the bathroom floor.

Amazing Views

Our stay was spectacular! To be able to watch dolphins from the balcony is incredible all by itself. The view cannot be bought. The condos are older and you can tell they picked the best of the best. Location to all the convenient stores. The bed is super comfy. To be able to bring our dogs was icing on the cake. The condo was nicely maintained. They had just painted the stairs. The owners were great! We extended our vacation. After coming to Destin for the last 30 years we have found our permanent place for visits.

Great Stay with Chihuahuas

The apartment was perfect and right on the beach. I called in beach in/beach out. It was a very short walk to the beach and easy to rent a chair. The owner answered the two times we called and was extremely nice and professional.

Property Needs An Update and CLEANING

VERY dated and cluttered. Needs a thorough deep cleaning and unit needs painting. *Bathroom- tub is an old Jacuzzi which we would not use. Shower drips and cannot turn off. TINY shower. Awful floor statue parrot toilet paper holder...tips over easily and took up too much room. Floors tiles "rock" and are not properly fixed to floors. Tile around tub cracked. Tiny ancient TV sits recessed in wall over tub. Not safe.* Bedroom-WAY too much furniture and difficult to maneuver when you bring in luggage. Bedding needs to be replaced as well as mattress. Ceiling fan is not properly mounted to ceiling. It is attached to a wall plug with a decorative chain around a wire. Fan rocks like mad when it's turned on, even at a low speed. All carpeted floors throughout the unit are dirty and need to be replaced. If the property is willing to rent to people with pets, tile floors would make much more sense for cleanliness. *Kitchen-Mirrored tile around bar cracked. When getting ice from ice maker, one must hold the freezer door shut as it opens when ice is being dispensed.*Living Room-Owner was informed there would be 4 adults sleeping in the unit, hence sofa sleeper was needed. Luckily (and by chance) we brought our own sheets as none were provided. *Deck-MASSIVELY UNSAFE. Paint peeling and boards rotting. Stairs down to beach are pulled apart and a hazard. Top landing is rotting. *Check-in-Check at the guard shack did not have our name or information to gain entry to unit. Owner did not answer our call. Guard shack attendant had to call owner and stated that "owner is notoriously lax in letting them know the unit is being rented." After a 10,5 hour drive, that's the last thing we needed. POSITIVE-The view is outstanding. Right on the ocean.

Don't book unless you plan on never being in the condo.

I want to start by saying that the location of this property is ideal. Directly on the beach with easy access just steps from the balcony. If you are looking for a location to enjoy the views, this is it. However, that is the only good thing I have to say about this property. I knew coming into it that the reviews were mixed, but we had difficulty finding a dog-friendly condo in our price range, so we took what we could get. When we arrived at the gate, the owner had failed to give our information to the property, so they had no idea we were coming. Beware, if you are bringing a pet, they require rabies vax proof and a $10 pet permit (cash-only), neither of which were mentioned to us before arrival. To say that this property is dingy would be an understatement. It gets worse the longer you look at it. From disgusting, stained carpet with a texture that changed depending on where you walked, mold, dust, poorly patched walls and doors, water damage throughout the entire condo, exposed wires (that I hope weren't live), and a generally unpleasant aesthetic, this condo needs some help. I personally would be embarrassed to rent this out to anyone. The nail in the coffin for this condo was the fact that it was not thoroughly cleaned. After speaking with the gate agent at the front of the property, we found out that it is an owner/manager property. Cleanliness is solely the owner's responsibility but clearly not their priority. I don't know whether they hire a service to clean or do it themselves, but either way, the state we found the condo in was unacceptable. Not only did we find dead ants in the fibers of our "clean" bath towels, we found prescription blood pressure medication on the floor in the bedroom. It is INCREDIBLY unacceptable for this have to been missed during the cleaning process. Having our dog with us, it was frankly infuriating knowing that he could have potentially found it and eaten it. Moreover, had a guest with children been staying here and one of them found and consumed it, it could have been even worse. This is a huge liability on the owner's part and they should be aware that this kind of negligence is appalling. Knowing what we did about the state of the condo going in, we didn't feel the need to raise the cleanliness issue with the owner since there are enough reviews that they should already be aware. We found the prescription meds on our last day and it was just the cherry on top of a disappointing stay.

I chose to own a rental property in this area due to the fact that my whole family owns property here and it is centrally located for anything I can imagine. It is directly on the beach and in a gated community with several pools, tennis courts, golf course and restaurants.
