Ce condo semble léger et spacieux avec une fenêtre latérale qui donne directement sur le parc et l'océan de l'autre côté de la rue.

Last minute trip

Happy with the condo, accurately described with a great view. Some vehicle noise was expected due to location, but the views made up for it. Reasonable price (and we booked the same week as the trip). Would rent again in the future! Mahalo!

AC throughout would have been nice, only in Bedrm. No wash clothes. Microwave died, got replaced by Nick, within 1 day!! Great person & service!

Maui is wonderful

It’s a great place to people watch. Traffic is loud on this side. The cost was high I thought per night. We did take advantage of the wake board. The beach chairs were rusted we couldn’t use them.

Not great but not bad.

The interior photos are accurate. The place is clean and comfortable and the ocean views are great. The description leaves out the fact that the bedroom window is 10 feet from Kihei Road, which is well traveled and therefore noisy. Things like kitchen and bath fixtures, cookware and dishes are way overdue for an upgrade. Overall not a bad place, but pushing the boundary of not being worth the cost.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Convenient location for morning walks south along the water and sunsets at the little beach across the street. Traffic noise at night, but we got used to it. Comfortable bed. We didn’t find the key for the lanai storage hanging by the refrigerator until the last day, and we couldn’t get the TV to work, but we weren’t there to watch TV anyway!

Amazing view of the ocean

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved staying here. The unit is on a corner so lots of light and only a short way to a lovely park and beach. Very comfortable and well stocked. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it's right next to the main road (it's on the other side of the hedge in the photo) and the traffic noise was wearing after a few days. Otherwise this was perfect...we could see whales spouting and breaching right from our lanai! Wow.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great view!!! but quite noisy from the traffic. Very good washer and dryer. Nice condo but no cooler in the unit. Also, could use more wine glasses (only 3 in the unit) and better cooking pots. The beds were not very comfortable - bedroom or sofa bed. Otherwise, we quite enjoyed our stay.

Light and Bright

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit 177 is an end unit therefore it has a beautiful big window which makes the unit so light and lovely. During the day I kept all the blinds closed and the small air conditioner in the bedroom was able to keep the whole unit relatively cool with limited entering and exiting. The unit had all the basic appliances, dishes etc. The furniture was comfortable. I would return and stay in this unit.

Great Property/Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hale Kamaole is a GREAT Property. Well maintained and its location and views are stunning. The BBQ area is amazing and is always kept spotless. We have been going there for almost two decades now and have also had the privilege to have stayed in other units. We have even recommended others to stay there, as was this past visit with 4 other couples joining us and renting 3 other units. SUPER disappointed this time with Unit #177. That would be the reason for lack of 5 stars. Amenities need improving. It's almost like it was stripped of the basics and replenished at a garage sale. A positive note, like the new flooring since our last stay there.

Needs Serious Attention – Not Worth the Price

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unfortunately, our stay at this property was disappointing and did not meet even basic expectations.The beach accessories provided were all broken or damaged beyond use—nothing was in functional condition. Beach towels were stained and threadbare, which made it feel like cleanliness and guest comfort were not a priority.Inside, there were no bath mats in the bathrooms and no tea towels in the kitchen, which made things inconvenient and uncomfortable. The kitchen itself was not well-maintained—cutting boards were extremely dirty and felt unsanitary to use. Minimal utensils. Knives that have seen much better days, some have large chunks missing from them. Also two rolls of toilet paper for three guest for one week is not enough. The most concerning issue was the bed. The pull out mattress and protector had visible yellow stains, which was not only off-putting but also raised serious hygiene concerns. The first set of sheets we found folded in the closet appeared to be stained and not washed. We did find a new set of sheets that we washed and used instead. The pillow shams in the primary bedroom also appeared dirty so we washed them as well. Instructions for using the tv could use a refresh as it was not very clear and took us awhile to navigate. This property has potential, but it clearly hasn’t been properly maintained or cared for. There were no shade umbrellas at the pool like there was before. Made it very uncomfortable to spend any time at the pool. The property itself has gone downhill since our previous stays. This is our third time staying at this complex and this for sure was the worst stay. We were also informed at check-in that on the day that we are checking out the water to the whole complex would be shut off all day. All we received was a “sorry about that” no offer to discount our stay for the inconvenience. I honestly don’t think we will stay at this complex again.

Mahalo Heather for your honest review, we sincerely appreciate your time in writing this. While we do wish you had brought up some of these issues while you were with us, we could have corrected them at that time, we do agree that your concerns are valid and we immediately took steps for improvement. We have replaced all the linens and stained bedding and placed new knives & a new cutting board in the kitchen, we are conducting kitchen audits throughout the property. We have also replaced all of the beach gear. We are in the process of updating many of the units tv/cable instructions, the owners recently took over their own cable accounts and this has caused the instructions to become outdated. Unfortunately we were unable to do anything about the water shut off, which is why you were given advance notice upon check in. The HOA who manages the entire complex, redid the decking around the entire lower pool last month and have not yet received the new pergola, which will be identical to the pergola at the upper pool which provides a great deal of shade. The lower pool does have a large covered shaded area that guests can lounge under, although it is not right along the pools edge. In conclusion, we genuinely care about the comfort of our guests and welcome them to let us know if they find anything that needs attention during their stay. We do hope you will consider a future stay with us. Mahalo, Laura

Would stay again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Positives - Comfortable bed, clean, great view. Write up was accurate and the office staff was very friendly. Negative - Loud street noise. Once we plugged in the fan from the closet that helped to provide white noise. There were no hand towels in the bathroom and only 1 tea towel. The outside furniture had black mold growing on the bottom of the chair straps. I wonder if there was black mold in the air conditioner as I felt ill the 2 nights it was turned on. It had 4 beach chairs, cooler, snorkel fins, 1 umbrella and boogie boards. We purchased/donated a 2nd beach umbrella.Recommend - If possible someone from maintenance could turn on their air conditioner before arrival that would be helpful. Our first night was quite hot. Also, the baseboards needed a thorough scrubbing. Our favourite restaurant was Coconuts and loved the 30 min walk to Starbucks each morning (60 min round trip). We enjoyed meals at Freds' Taco and Fat Daddy's Smoke House. The beach across the street was fantastic and we loved watching the sun set from the grassy area. Do your big shop and gas up at Costco and smaller shops at Times (more reasonable than Safeway and Foodland). Maui Brewing has good beer (Coconut Hiwa) but don't eat there. We found it was sunnier at the Condo than at Makenna Beach.

Not felt like vacation

Property is near to the ongoing traffic street, while day and night you can hear the vehicle noises clearly, there is not enough sound protection in property. If you decide to sit outside, you will hear noise. On top of that the AC that is fitted in property make loud noises too.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS UNIT TO ANYONE TO STAY AT

Was a bit unsure about being on the ground floor but ended up liking it - super easy access. 177 is clean and appears to have been updated since much of what others complained about I did not see. Would definitely stay in 177 again.

This is the lower front Unit in the complex and has an easy access to Kamaole Beach III and a superb view of the Maui sunsets. The Unit is basic but was very adequate for our needs. My wife has mobility issues and was very appreciative of the level access and short distance to park and beach. The only real negative is the significant road noise that comes with a front Unit

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cozy unit, with a beautiful view of the ocean and sunsets. Comfortable king bed and air conditioner works well in bedroom. The fans were a great touch for ambiance and circulating that amazing tropical breeze. Overall more positives than negatives. However, this unit really needs new comfortable beach chairs, and a bathroom Reno. The location is perfect and the property is very well maintained and pretty. Pool areas are great. The cleaners needed to pay a little more attention to cleaning .. the elements on top of stove were left dirty with spillage from previous guests. Would have been better to have some Lysol and windex available so we could use as needed. This unit is busy with traffic as we are next to the road and is an end unit, but you get used to it and the view makes up for it. Can’t wait to come back and we would definitely stay at Hale kamaole again.

Owners don't care about renters

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our fourth stay at Hale Kamaole. Upon arrival we found the floors had not been cleaned from previous renters. The next day when we went to cook we found dirty frying pans with food stuck on them. The bathroom sink was plugged and the shower head leaked. I reported this to the management company who took care of the bathroom issues. Almost everything in the lanai closet is broken. While I understand that those are perks, I do expect what is provided to be functional. Nobody takes the time to read the guest book because previous guests mentioned the shower issue as well as the garbage in the lanai closet. Our compensation from the owners was a box of chocolates and a bag of coffee worth $20 total. These items were placed in the condo without us there and without our permission to enter the condo. There is a great view from the lanai. We would never stay in this unit again.
