This is an irresistible and fun beachfront home. It is freshly updated and beautifully decorated. With 3 bedrooms plus a living room and a game room, this property can comfortably sleep most beach-loving families. You are welcome to bring an air mattress or cots for extra sleeping. During the day, you will be building sandcastles and relaxing on your big, wide, private sandy beach backyard.

This is an irresistible and fun beachfront home. It is freshly updated and professionally decorated. With 3 bedrooms plus a living room and a game room, this property can comfortably sleep most beach-loving families. You are welcome to bring an air mattress or cots for extra sleeping. During the day, you will be building sandcastles and relaxing on your big, wide, private sandy beach backyard. At sunset, you will sit next to the beach bonfire while enjoying your views. Often the waves splash right up to or into your backyard! This is probably the largest oceanfront yard in the city with its lush green lawn and its private sandy backyard. You will love using the BBQ, cooking hotdogs and hamburgers as you watch the dolphins jump and play right in front of the cottage. Your stay will be the serene and relaxing beach vacation you are looking for!

The beach house is fresh and bright with all new coastal decor. The ocean view kitchen has all new and modern appliances, equipment, and gadgets you need for spectacular beachfront dining, including a K cup coffee maker. The bedrooms are fully appointed with fresh duvets and towels, including fluffy beach towels. The home has everything you need for your stay at the beach, all you have to bring are your clothes and food! Of course, we have smart TV`s, a ceiling mounted living room tv, cell phone charging stations, and free high-speed WIFI.

The location of the home also makes it a spectacular choice. It is an easy walk to the wide sandy beach of the pier area, the many fun restaurants, gastro pubs, coffee shops, ice cream shops, and even the movies are an easy walk. Bring your beach cruisers because we have miles of coastal trails and it`s always fun to ride to the shops and restaurants at nearby Oceanside Harbor. Boats and kayaks can be rented at the harbor. We are only 15 minutes from Legoland and an easy drive to Seaworld and San Diego Zoo.

Intimate beach Weddings

The perfect setting for an intimate beach wedding or elopement up to 18 people. We have the wedding chairs and tables. All you need is the bride and groom. Our onsite staff will assure you have a special place to recite your vows or become engaged. All ceremonies are daytime 1-5 pm , (so you can see the ocean in your photos) and conclude by 5 pm. Only 8 people on property before or after. Rates for events are 1
$1250 to $1550 per night with a two night minimum

Bring your bikes. There are lots of places to ride! Go to harbor and rent a boat or paddle board

Mini beach weddings and beach elopements and engagements for 18 people maximum with 1250 per night event fee and contract. Please inquire

The city offers a fun electric shuttle that will pick you up at your door and take you to any beach or coastal restaurant and then bring you back to the beach house. Just download the Ride Circuit app and select Oceanside.

great place to bring family together

what a great turn out our family loved it well maintained home on the beach clean and the owners were so helpful she let us know where all the hot spots were i will never forget the time we spent with our kids before they went to college also building sand castles on our own beach was great love the area

Great family experience

My family and I had a wonderful time at the beach house. We will definitely be coming back. The house had everything we needed and more. The beach nice and was not very busy. The family enjoyed collecting sea shells. The area had everything we needed very close.

Fun beach cottage

This house was perfect. Clean and cute. We used the fire ring every day. The kids played on the private beach. Really nice that is was a private home and not a condo. Privateer Pizza was great too!

Great Family Fun!!

Me and my family rented the house this past month and had the time of our lives. The beach is private and free of people, it was perfect for our family having the fire pit and house on the beach with our own sand yard for the kids to play in. I would recommend the house to anyone it was full of beach decorations and most importantly very clean. Honestly me and my family have been traveling to California for summer trips for years and this is the nicest place we have stayed yet. I hope you enjoy an amazing time!

AMAZING!

This was our second year coming back to the same place because we love it so much. Such a beautiful little quaint cottage that makes our vacation the perfect stay. It works great for babies and kids, because you have your own backyard equipped with grass and your own little sandy beach. It's not too far from the pier but just enough you that you feel like you have your own little private slice of heaven away from the busy beach crowds! We also love working with Kim, and will definitely be returning again.

Beach Bungalow!!

It was to hard to leave this vacation when it was time to leave. This house just let me escape the real world for once and relax. The house makes you feel cozy and warm, since it is a beach "bungalow." Or at least that's what the decor around the house said! The decor was the feature of the house, little boats, sand buckets, jars, paintings was what made this vacation so memorable! I hope to be back soon!

Tried a Boogie Board!

I enjoyed my stay on the beach. Thanks for the flowers. Apparently you also gave cookies but by the time I arrived,my family had eaten them! Loved using the boogie board for the first time in my life. Enjoyed the farmers market also. Now enjoying one last Starbucks

Perfect Dream Vacation

This house by far has been the best vacation house that my family has invested! My children as well as my wife and I loved this house. There is a lawn that leads to your private beach and then to the public beach and ocean. You can look directly from the yard of the house and watch your children play while your cooking some burgers on the BBQ or simply relaxing on a beach chair. I'm definitely going to bring back my family especially because they had such an amazing time, it really brought us much closer.

We just got home from a one week stay at this perfect beach home in Oceanside. The cottage-style home was so charming, clean and decorated in an adorable beach theme. We had plenty of room for our family of 7 adults and 4 grandkids. This home had everything we were looking for with beach access, a private yard with grass and sand areas, firepit, extra large patio, balcony, picnic tables and beach chairs, BBQ, sand and ocean toys, and plenty of beach towels. We truly lacked for nothing and had a fabulous time. The property manager, Kim, was so accommodating and helpful. We will definitely be coming back!!!!!

i will do this every year

This house was great so different form texas my friends thought it would be fun to get away and they were right this house which i haved stayed before it was booked so the owner put me in another one of her rentals and it was this one still great food and so relaxing to have your own beach was defiantly an experience next year I'm bringing my family thank you for letting us stay in this lovely home on the beach just as good as the other one i love these houses on the beach starting to feel like home

BEST VACATION EVER!

We are a repeat offender of Kim's. This was our 4th time staying at one of her properties and we always have an amazing time. The homes are clean and ready to go when we arrive so the kids and grandkids can start playing on the beach and in the ocean. The homes are very comfortable and nicely decorated and equipped. The best part of the stay for me is being able to walk out the door and be right on the beach. I couldn't stay anywhere else when it comes to vacationing at the beach, and actually we haven't. We always come back to one of Kim's homes and will be returning in 2014! My family can't wait to get back and enjoy our time together on the beach. I highly recommend any of Kim's properties -- you will not be disappointed!

Perfect Beach House

I grew up in San Diego, and every summer we go back and spend a week but usually stay in a hotel. This was our first time renting a home in SD and the location right on the sand was perfect. Our 14 and 10 year old sons still talk about what a great week it was and loved being right on the sand, having a fire every night and playing a bit of soccer or football on the grass. We have rented homes in other areas and this house was by far the best. Extremely clean, nicely decorated and the kitchen had everything we needed. It is a great beach with soft sand, minimal seaweed and nice waves for boogie boarding. My dad, who has limited mobility, came with us and Kim was so helpful in picking this house as he did not have to deal with any stairs but could still sit on the upper deck and watch the kids in the yard and surf. Was an absolutely perfect week. Looking forward to coming back.

One of the Best Vacations!

Hands down this is one of the best vacation destinations we've experienced. (And I feel we've had a good share of many great vacations around the world.) There are numerous beach homes to choose from, but what makes this one a stand out in my book is the grass. The kids can play in the grass without covering themselves in sand. It's a sweet addition that one may not consider. Of course the property is well maintained and clean with all the amenities that are a must. But in addition the property provides all the beach toys, chairs, umbrella, beach towels, BBQ, Fire Pit,. . . . . everything you need is there. Perfect location, close enough to walk to the Pier and buy and ice cream cone or fish taco. This is a vacation destination that offers all the theme parks, shopping, golfing, dining or just being lazy on the beach (our favorite activity!) I definitely recommend it!

60th birthday family trip

The outdoor spaces were lovely. We enjoyed the fire pit and sunsets. Lots of seating and toys for kids. The dining room table with benches was great for our big group and the views were spectacular. The beach in front of the house was not crowded compared to the pier area. The owners provided a huge binder with area attractions, menus and other points of interest which we found very useful. The inside layout was difficult for us. The staircase to the lower level 3 bedrooms was outside, hence the "private entrances". The bedroom with 2 queen beds was attached to the downstairs living room did not have a door and was mostly open to the living room area downstairs. Although, it was supposed to be a good room for kids, it was difficult for us because our children were under 5 and once they went to bed someone needed to stay downstairs since it is not connected to the main living space upstairs, we would not know if any of them needed anything or if they got up. The property was well maintained and clean for a house over 100 years old. Overall, we had a lovely vacation.

WHAT A WEEK

We have stayed in this charming Oceanside beachfront cottage each summertime for the last ten years. It is the perfect beach vacation spot. The cottage is just wonderful. The home is well cared for with charming shabby chic furniture inside and the best beachfront location you can imagine. The deck in the backyard is the perfect place to relax and watch your kids on the beach. Once we arrive and park the car, we either ride bikes or walk everywhere we go. The house is a 10 minute walk to the pier and near many restaurants. Each year it is like going to "our" summer vacation home. We could not have picked a better vacation spot. We highly recommend this lovely vacation home and cannot wait to vacation there this summer. The beach house was charming, and in the BEST location. Its right on the beach, a few walking blocks to downtown. The area is flat and has sidewalks making walking and biking perfect. We parked the car and only used it for getting groceries. We loved having the bikes to use. Our boys loved riding their scooters into town and getting an ice cream, eating at Rubys on the pier and seeing a movie at the Regal. The beds were comfy too! All in all one of our best family vacations ever! Something for everyone!

Wonderful home with a grass yard and private beach

This property hands down is unbelievable. The yard, with the private beach is perfect. Plenty of room outside to play games and enjoy each others company. The down stairs kitchen is a great assets. The inside of the house has plenty of room. The bedrooms are good sized with very comfortable beds. The way this house is set up you are able to spend most of your time outside. We would fix our food in the downstairs kitchen so we could eat outside. All drinks were downstairs also so we didn't have to hike upstairs every time we needed something. The property is clean and well maintained. There are plenty of boogie boards, sand toys and more. The house is stocked with towels, bath and beach. When we arrived Kim the owner had cookies and a card welcoming us. We have rented from her before and she is pleasant and friendly. When we arrived it was the Fourth of July. Kim helped us get our cars parked and was right there when we arrived. She had our private beach set up for the festivities. Hands down a great location and house. The best part is it is yours, it is a private home. A true gem on this beach!!!!!

Review of the Red Door Cottage Beach House

My family just returned from a week vacation at the Red Door Cottage beach house. We were welcomed with fresh cookies and fresh flowers and a nice note welcoming our family to the beach house. We were so pleased with everything and the entire family had a fantastic week! We cannot say enough about how fabulous the location and accommodations were, from the bedding, towels, to the outdoor furniture and toys! Planning a week for the entire family is a difficult task and you worry that everyone will have a good time. Let me just say, my family was delighted and cannot stop talking about what great location and what a fun trip. We had adults, teenagers, and small children and the accommodations were fantastic! The owner, Kim, was excellent to work with and helped provide advise on what we would need for my family. She was spot on! Everyone was so pleased with the vacation and now texting and on-line chatting about "when can we do it agin!" For a Mom, that is a successful vacation!! The "Red Door Cottage" along with the "Blue Door" next door provided plenty of space for my large family and spouses and kids. I cannot say enough about how fabulous everything turned out! Thanks Kim (Owner) for a wonderful vacation and for the friendly and excellent customer service you provided to the most important people in my life....my family!
