Great location, great vibe. A lot of really nice amenities and a fantastic oceanfront yard with hot tub. Our only complaint was when we first arrived, it was a little bit stuffy... wish they had aired it out.But very clean and probably to be expected so close to the ocean. Once we opened windows and doors it aired out nicely. The unit above was occupied and we never heard them there. We felt a little bad since we had a large party of 8 and like to play games at night. Although we never heard any complaints. So I guess the sound insulation is very good. Would definitely go back.

This a great place and a great location. Not too close to the downtown area, with a garage, and big rooms. We booked it to celebrate one of our daughter’s birthday over the long weekend and had a blast.

Did not really like the location, congestion, and unit. It is pretty outdated, needs significant maintenance and might work for some people but was not really to y standards for the price

Perfect spot on the beach!

Great place for several families to camp out at for a few days. We were able to spend a lot of time at the beach. House is older, but is done up nicely.

Nice, roomy house, well appointed with kitchen and bath stuff, INCREDIBLE location. No sandy beach but you can climb down the rocks to the ocean at low tide. Great patio, bbq, hot tub. Highly recommend.

Birthday Weekend at the Beach

Amazing location right on the waterfront with beautiful views and the sunset. Plenty of space in the backyard with the ocean as the backdrop. Close to restaurants and bars. Only downside was no direct access to the sand from the backyard.

Perfect mother-daughter getaway weekend spot!

Four mother-daughter pairs stayed here and we had a wonderful time! The moms enjoyed happy hour on the lawn while the daughters took instagram pics on the rocks and beach. One morning the girls made the moms breakfast in the well-appointed kitchen and we ate on the balcony - perfect. The only downside is the bathroom situation, as two of the three bathrooms have to be accessed via a bedroom.

Can’t beat the view

The view was worth 90% of the expense. The house is what would be expected if you are familiar with living by the beach. A little worn, but everything you would need to enjoy your time there!

Very comfortable rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was a wonderful accomodationFor a large family gathering. The weather was very foggy there but as soon as we went inland it was sunny. If you want to be in San Diego I would recommend getting closer to that area as traffic makes it a long trip back and forth with small children.

Oceanside is located in Northern San Diego County and is a central location for those looking to go to both LA and San Diego. We have locations in Oceanside, Carlsbad, & Encinitas so for your next visit with us call our reservation staff and we will place you in a property closer to that area! Coastal areas tend to get marine layers during certain times of the year, typically it will burn off from mid-morning until early evening. Weather is always temperate in San Diego! Great place for a fun family reunion!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was clean and it comfortably accommodated 18 of us! The hot tub looking out over the ocean was a fabulous place to relax. The access is to the rocky part of the beach, but it felt very private and my children had fun collecting rocks. Parking was not a problem at all. We loved staying here!!

Dear Margaret, We are so glad that you love this property. We are sorry that there were two issues during your stay but we are glad that we were able to address them quickly. We are sad about the disappearing sand as well. The City of Oceanside has replaced the sand for the last 30 years. This was the first year that it was not completed (and boy do we miss that sand). Great Family Beach House

The only thing I would change about the house is having to go out to the beach through the master suites. If you don't have children who nap, this wouldn't be as much of an issue. Overall, a great house.

Staycation

I really enjoyed my stay at this location, the place was even nicer then in the pictures. It was nice to walk down the steps to the ocean although it had a lot of rocks, so water shoes are a must. My daughter preferred to be on more of a sand beach and that was just a walk away. Although there were some issues with the jacuzzi being too hot, or somethings not working like the screen door upstairs, they tried to take care of it right away. I would definitely recommend this location. Waking up to the view of the waves and dolphins playing in the ocean was a treat.I am already going to book for the next year.
