Wonderful Kihei Condo

Fully equipped condo at a great location overlooking the ocean, between two beautiful beaches and within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Saw turtles swimming from the condo balcony daily.

The property was exactly as described. Fantastic views from lanai, convenient to two beaches, easy walking distance to great eating and shops. It was clean and interaction with the local representative was cheerful and helpful. The owner made a questionable choice with the white leather couch and loveseat (and related requests to keep them covered), and A/C units can make lanai uncomfortably warm, but it was a very positive experience. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Condo!

My husband and I visit Kihei and the Royal Mauian frequently, I must say unit #609 is one of the nicest we have stayed in. The remodel was tastefully done with no details spared, everything that you could possibly need is provided, the bed is very comfortable and the location is great. We are looking forward to our next stay.

27th Anniversary trip

This trip was wonderful, #609 has beautiful sunset views as well as turtle watching from the lani. A major plus for me was the beach access path! (no need for shoes) The sounds of the waves at night was so peaceful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

Little piece of Heaven

2 weeks of sure bliss. Hate to leave!!!! Listening to the ocean at night and watching the beautiful palm trees from the bedroom was just 1 of our favorites. View is not bad eitherđŸ€Ł Would definintly return.

AMAZING condominium!

What a fabulous home away from home. The condominium has everything you would need and the bed was so comfortable. The furnishings and appliances were top of the line. Nance, who is the contact person on Maui was very nice and helpful. All in all if you want a wonderful place to stay this would be the one!! Just made our reservation 's for 2017. đŸŒș🌮

Beautiful

We had such a wonderful stay. The condo is amazing. It has everything you need to have a great vacation. The view from the balcony was so beautiful, we had our coffee every morning enjoying the view as well as the sunset. We used the BBQ on the roof twice which is a beautiful view as well. The location was great. It didn't take long to go in any direction to go see the other places on the island. The bed was really comfortable and the condo well decorated. We highly recommend This place and would go back again. Thank you Dirk for sharing your wonderful place.

Stunning property in a perfect location

We absolutely loved our stay. The condo was clean and tidy with all of the conveniences you could ever want. The bed was so comfy, it was a pleasure to drop into after a long day at the beach or out exploring everything the island has to offer. From the unit's lanai there was an extra treat of having the best seat in the house to watch the sea turtles! Simply mesmerizing. Not only is the suite lovely, but the building is very well maintained ~ making the stay simply a pleasure. Thanks for a terrific vacation ~ hope to return soon.

Could have been better

We have stayed in this complex four times now. This location is great and this unit was good. However, there was a disconnect with the property owner and the cleaner crew. They demanded we check out at 10am and after looking at the paper work there are two times of 10am and 11am on our final confirmation emails. Also cleaning had a large list of items for us to do that took time before we were to leave and it really hampered the end of our trip. I did message the owner and he let me know we didn't have to do those things but it was too late as we spent the morning doing them rather than enjoying paradise. That along with the older and kind of gross smelling towells was the only complaint. Again great location but we will be looking at another unit next time. Yes, we did try to get with the owner afterwards he did not offer to make anything right. I did try for a week after the trip before giving an honest review.

Perfection.

Five stars squared. We spent five glorious days watching sea turtles from the lanai every morning, snorkeling on Kam I & II, and gazing at beautiful sunsets every evening. Other than a day trip to La Perouse Bay, we stayed "home" and walked to restaurants and stores. We didn't cook, but the kitchen seemed well-stocked. The condo had everything we needed. Most of our time was on the lanai, which appears better situated than some in the building. Others said their patios were too warm during the day, but ours was always comfortably cool without direct sunlight. We didn't need a/c even though it was very warm during our stay. We highly recommend it. Thank you for sharing your space!

Well appointed unit in a great location

We had a great stay in Dirk's condo. The unit is well appointed and has an amazing ocean view. The kitchen has great appliances and a good amount of space for a vacation condo. The only appliance that would have made nice addition was perhaps a rice cooker. The location is super convenient being right on the water and also across the street from a lot of restaurants, grocery stores, shops and and anything else you might need during a visit to Maui. Dirk was accommodating of our last minute booking. Some minor notes: - AC: There's a split AC unit in the living room, but it seemed to be set to a fixed temperature, I think about 70 degrees. It can also be only controlled with a timer. The bedroom only has a portable AC, which we found quite loud and less efficient than a split AC, so we preferred to not use it. Overall, this wasn't a big problem because we ended up not needing to use AC much, but we do prefer to sleep on the cooler side at night, so we wish we had known this before booking. - The tables and chairs on the communal rooftop deck were removed during our stay by the building management due to people hosting gatherings during COVID - The bed is comfortable but definitely on the very soft side. You sink in quite a bit - The floors were a bit dusty upon checkin, so we just vacuumed the floors ourselves - We learned to not turn on the light on the lanai because due to proximity to water, with the light on it can get a lot of mosquitos. Having a bug repellent or zapper on the lanai could be useful - The location of the Royal Mauian is excellent and very central, but it also means that on the front you get noise from beachgoers and on the back from the road. Until afternoon, we also got noise from the complex power washing, various trucks in the parking lot (deliveries, garbage etc) and other units doing remodeling. In the afternoon, winds often got very strong during our stay and even with doors closed, the wind would howl loudly in the unit. The sounds of the waves were lovely, but during strong winds, the waves were so loud we had to close the lanai during Zoom calls since we were working remotely. Not a significant problem for us, but there was overall more noise than we expected.

This condo has every amenity and is in a great location. Walking distance to several beaches, restaurants, and shopping. I really loved enjoying the beautiful ocean views from the balcony and every room.

Beautiful condo with the best location in South Maui.

Completely equipped kitchen and everything we needed for the beach was already there. This is the nicest condo we've ever stayed in anywhere in Hawaii.

This unit had an incredible view and location. So close to the beach, ocean, restaurants and everything else we needed. Sleeping with the windows open was so great. Listening to the waves right below you made for extremely relaxing spot

Pretty perfect!

This is a beautiful property, well maintained. The best thing about it is the beautiful view & the sound of the surf lulling you to sleep. We never needed the A/C because the cross breeze was so cool. The proximity to two beaches & the shops & restaurants across the street made it a perfect location. I’d definitely give it 5 stars!!

Love the Royal Mauian condos and this unit is on 6th floor. Stellar views of ocean and sunsets, turtles in AM, snorkeling access and beach access, great places ot shop and eat super close by. Def. will stay again!

Maui Paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. As others have mentioned, you can’t beat the view from the lanai and bedroom: the ocean only steps away, Kamaole I beach, and the west Maui mountains all framed by palm trees. The condo was very well furnished with everything we needed, including high end appliances, comfortable furniture, and beach equipment. Small details such as high quality tissue were also provided. We only needed the air conditioning once during our stay, as the cross breeze through the condo was very pleasant. It was also convenient to be able to walk to plenty of good restaurants. Finally, we appreciated the detailed instructions on how to operate the TV. I highly recommend this place!

I purchased Unit 608 in 1986 and Unit 609 in 2009 and both have been exquisitely remodelled !

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

You can't beat this location. It's a waterfront ,concrete building sandwiched between two of Maui's best beaches close to restaurants and shopping! The Royal Mauian has a great ocean front fresh water heated swimming pool and you can enjoy the beach! This Unit is on the top ( penthouse) level of the building with an extremely private lanai .
