Cette maison tire son nom du magnifique chêne de 120 ans qui est la pièce maîtresse du pont arrière! Le pont est de 30 pieds de long ancré par un grand SPA EXTÉRIEUR (NOUVEAU spa). Lorsque vous devez revenir à la technologie, vous pouvez le faire en vous promenant dans le salon près de la cheminée. Vous y trouverez Internet wifi, TV satellite, TV haute définition 43 ', lecteur DVD, lecteur CD et Media Center (ROKU, vidéo en streaming NetFlix). Vous vous blottissez également contre la cheminée. La cabine dispose également d'un accès Internet WiFi si vous souhaitez apporter votre iPad ou votre ordinateur portable. Quand vient le temps de vous dire bonsoir, vous avez le choix entre 2 chambres. Une chambre a un roi et la seconde a des lits jumeaux.

Si vous vous endormez dans le salon, ne vous inquiétez pas car il y a un canapé-lit queen. Cette cabine peut accueillir confortablement 6 personnes, ce qui est le nombre de steaks à avoir sur le barbecue (charbon de bois et gaz) qui se trouvent sur le pont. Profitez d'un verre pendant que vous attendez les steaks. La cabine elle-même est à faisceau ouvert et aromatisée à la montagne. Vous êtes également à distance de marche du village et du lac. Préparez-vous à admirer la nature! En outre, une cuisine améliorée et rénovée!

Little holiday getaway

This property was perfect for a long weekend away for the four of us. Although there was no snow, we were super close to the very festive Village, which is always fun. It was a plus having a large yard for our dog, so she could have fun too. My boys and I were able to ski one day, even though only a few slopes were open.

Great little place walking distance from the village

In short, we enjoyed our stay over the summer. We made the property our own. The property felt neglected overall, but we enjoyed it with our own personal touches. Utensils, cooking equipment, etc is lacking, so bring your own. There is no laundry either, which wasn’t that big of of a deal as we traveled back to our home at least once a week. Would we rent it again? That would depend on price.

Weekend getaway

This cabin was exactly as described. The place was cozy and warm after snowing all day. The village was a quick walk. The bed was comfortable and all areas of the house were clean. The backyard was a huge bonus. I brought my dog and he was able to play in the snow to his hearts content. For a weekend getaway it was the perfect location.

Family ski trip

This was an excellent family rental! It was touch and go with the changing weather and reload closures… the property manager and owner were excellent! They kept us updated on the roads and helped us find a way up! The cabin was cozy and very close to snow summit summit. Great family vacation!

Perfect getaway for our small family

We had a fabulous experience at this lovely cabin. Perfect size for the 4 of us. My son turned 9 and all he wanted was a cabin vacation. The host was very easy to communicate with and check in was easy. The location was the highlight as it was easy to go to the lake or the little village shops. It was a fun experience for our first time in Big Bear and first time VRBO user.

Cozy Cabin

We enjoyed this family get away. It’s a small cozy cabin that fit two adults and two children well. The house was clean and has a nice back yard and front porch. Only thing that was bothersome is that upon entry to the living room, there was an animal urine odor. Most likely from pets being able to say at the property. I would have the management shampoo the rug or replace it. Other than that, really a nice cozy place.

Cozy Cabin great location

The host was very friendly and easy to contact. Home is in a great location and has a fabulous back deck and spa. The home is a bit older and the carpet could use some updating. There are a few spots where the nails are coming up through the floor.

Nice cabin

Our family of 4 and two dogs enjoyed our stay at this cabin. There was sledding in close proximity and the house itself had a big yard to enjoy. Two upgrades I suggest for Pete that would greatly improve the property would be new carpet (the existing is really OLD and feels dirty) and to change out the spa water and clean the spa free of mold on the headrests. Overall, our trip was very relaxing and it’s a great location. We would stay here again. Thank you Pete for your good communication beforehand as well.

Great location and view

This place was a great for dogs, warm patio and fenced backyard. The shower was little bit old, not enough water so hard to take a shower. The hot bath wasn't worked. We tried for 2 nights but never warmed up.

All it needs is a washer and dryer

It had almost everything we could need. We had to go to a laundromat to clean items. Would have been nice to have it on site. Also, I would have liked to have a vacuum so we could clean the floors before we left. I understand there is cleaning done after our stay but I don't like to leave a mess when renting a place but there were no cleaning supplies available. It did have a great spa though which is a plus.

Good location but place could have been cleaner. Property manager. Bring your own pillows.

The place was in a good location near the Village and there was good communication with the Owner. The communication between the property manager and owner was sub par and the sheets/pillows and couch had dog hair. Asked for new sheets. Property manager called me and advised that cleaning services would bring sheets and install them on the bed. Apparently Maintenance came instead and they would not install them on the bed. They failed to bring the correct size sheets. Had to message owner since property manager office was closed. They stated there was miscommunication and that’s why the incorrect size sheets were delivered and said cleaning service would bring the new sheets. Maintenance brought the correct sized sheets instead of cleaning services again, but would not install on the bed. Maintenance did take the dirty sheets. Eyes were itchy during the trip. I would recommend bringing your own pillows. Kitchen table had ash on it upon arrival. I recommend owner hiring a better cleaning service.

Quaint little Cabin

Absolutely loved our stay this week at the cabin, originally it was supposed to be 5 or 6 of us... i turned out to only be 2 of us which was PERFECT for the space. The house is 2 stories according to the pictures, but only the top is what the guests get to use. The California king is perfect but the twins are a little small for an average adult. I moved the beds together, but it looks like it had t been cleaned under the bed in a while. I found a book and some toys. The check in process wasn’t as easy as it should have been... because i booked through VRBO, my name wasn’t in the system and they had to go around and find my reservation, then i was told i would get a text with the check in code and never received anything. Luckily Mary was very communicative and such a great hostess and was always only a call or text away. There are some small adjustments i would recommend, the internet is VERY SLOW, you could not be on more than 1 device at a time which was very hard for us because we work from our computers and needed the internet... we made it work, but i would recommend either upgrading the internet or letting the guests know that they need to bring a hotspot. The front door had a glass panel missing and i called Mary right away she had it fixed in a coupes hours. The fire place was P. E. R. F. E. C. T. !!! We will definitely be renting from The Reggie family again!

Disappointed

My husband, myself, and our two dogs rented the place for a weekend. The place was fine. It has two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a fenced-in backyard. The place was a little dirty when we got there; there were raisins on the floor (which my dogs found) and there was a beer bottle in the backyard, along with what appeared to be chunks of bacon. That was a bit annoying, but we honestly didn’t think much of it during our stay. We left on Sunday afternoon, after cleaning the place as requested, including doing the dishes and throwing out the trash. When we left on Sunday, I would have given this place a decent review. It wasn’t spectacular, but we didn’t pay a lot and it more or less met our expectations. But I’m not giving this place a decent review because of our post-rental interaction with the owner of the property. We received an email from him saying that we owed him $50 because he had not realized that our dogs would shed. He also said that we ruined his towels. We emailed him back and pointed out to him that we told him we were bringing dogs. And he hadn’t required a non-refundable pet deposit like some places. It is completely unfair to tell us up front that there would be no extra cost for our dogs and then charge us for their shedding. Nearly all dogs shed. If that was a concern of his, he could have asked us about our dogs. We would have gladly told him that our dogs (like most dogs) shed. With respect to the towels, we pointed out that there were two towels that were dirty because it had rained all weekend and we had used the towels to wipe our dogs’ feet. We wanted to make sure they didn’t track in any mud. And regardless of whether the towels had mud on them, they had to be washed in any event. Basically, we felt like he was trying to charge us extra for things that should have been included in the original price. Setting aside the merits of his complaints, what really frustrated me was his tone with me when I called him to discuss his email. Instead of speaking to me like an adult and giving me a chance to explain, he barked at me and constantly spoke over me. A kind way to describe his demeanor is ‘impolite’; a better description would be vulgar and rude. I wouldn’t do business with him again and suggest you don’t either. You never know what fees he might find after the fact that you owe.

Nice but could use some extras

At the end of the day we enjoyed our annual family big bear trip but the cabin could use a little extras... the location was great! The backyard was enclosed and safe for snow play for the littles as well as a big patio to grill on and hang with the family. The spa was excellent and just what we needed at the end of the day. Sheets were clean and beds were comfortable. The tv was easy to navigate and had Netflix which was great... however the cabin smelt like someone had a bonfire inside when we entered so we had to air it out for a couple hours. The key only locked the screen door so it felt a little unsafe when we slept at night. There was only one dish towel to dry the hand washed dishes all weekend. They wanted us to clean the patio and any evidence of a BBQ yet there was no broom provided to do so. It also would have been nice to have some snow play saucers on site for the kids. When all is said and done we enjoyed our stay and would rent again. Thank you Mary!

Loved the Oak Tree Resort!

Cute, clean and convenient location. Cozy fireplace, loved the privacy of the jacuzzi, well appointed kitchen - perfect for our getaway! We’d definitely stay there again!

We bought this house in 1993 so our family could enjoy the amenities associated with mountain living. Since our children have grown, we have decided to let others have the same enjoyment as we have.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Our home is situated close to the Village (downtown) and close to the lake and ski areas without being caught up in traffic. It is family-friendly with HD 42 ' flat screen HDTV, internet, a 30 ft Deck, Spa and barbecue. It contains linen and towels and other accessories. The property has fenced enclosure for safety and privacy. It is within walking distance to several restaurants and Village fun!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

First off the location is primo! We're also very proud of modern-but-rustic feel bathroom remodel. If we do say so ourselves, it's gorgeous! If you have Netflix, your subscription allows you access Hulu Plus, Amazon Instant Video, Crackle, HBO Go, Epix.
