My coworker and I stayed here for 26 days for our job at the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair. We chose this location because our job requires us to do laundry every 3 days, and the listing said there was a washer and a dryer on-site. We were also really looking forward to enjoying the outdoor hot tub!Unfortunately, there is no washer or dryer, so we ended up having to make 8 separate trips to the laundromat. Also, the heater was broken on the hot tub the entire time we were there, so we never got to use that, either.Despite the disappointments, the property owner Ana Marie is *very* friendly, and she responded right away when we started having electrical issues in the kitchen. The property is very large, with a full bedoom and a separate kitchen. We would definitely consider staying here again, especially if the hot tub is up and running next year!
I should start by saying the host was very sweet and I struggled with writing a negative review. The property was in poor shape. The unit we stayed in needs major renovation. It felt very dirty and you have to put your legs in the shower when using the toilet. It had very limited electric outlets and I had to move the table across the room so I could work on my computer. There is an entrance gate that has to be opened and its feet from the main road. The back end of your car has to hang out into the road while youâre waiting for the gate to open. Itâs very unsafe and I upset drivers who were flying down the road. When we got there, the pool was pretty dirty and the hot tub didnât work.
The location was close to the area I needed. Space was suitable for the two of us that were staying there. Having a kitchen and refrigerator was very helpful. Beds were very comfy. Annie was very responsive when I had questions. Thanks!
Thank you, Ana. For your patience with your 4 lost first time USA tourists. We had a great time staying at your rental. And I do think that your rental rate is one of the best for the Miami area. Since the place is in residential neighbourhood, it is recommended to have your own transportation for the purpose of shopping and eating out. We did not have our own but fortunately Ana helped us out by driving us around for a reasonable charge. Later she was so nice to show us how to use Uber so that we could venture out on our own. We will definitely recommend this place to others visiting Miami. Muchas gracias y hasta la vista, Ana.
What more can you ask for? For less than you would pay at a hotel per night you can stay in this place. Plus, you have a stove/oven, microwave etc, gated fence etc.
We felt very secure at all times each evening when we arrived home from being out on the town. We actually came from VA for the Nascar race in Homestead, the drive to the track was only 30 minutes from this home. Airport was also 30 minutes. Great location to stay.
Place was clean, linens provided, towels provided. We were never bothered by anyone which made it feel even more private.
Property owner had great communication in all phases. I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future! Especially given the price. Book comfortably here.
Slight hiccup with registration but it was fixed quickly. It was nice to have the car and apt. behind closed gate. Rooms and furniture slightly outdated, but has everything you need. Host was nice and responsive.
Checking in and out are a breeze. The hostess (Ana) is quick to reply and answer any question you have. Numerous stores, restaurants and things to do in close proximity of this cute, affordable rental. I have rented twice and plan to go back.
The host was more than helpful and attentive to any needs or questions. This apartment was very suitable for myself and 2 sons. Will definitely be back.
We booked 1 wk stay in jan then added another week for cash( not sure if thats allowed). Before we went she changed our apartment to a smaller one. Then after the 1st week we went to the Bahamas for 9 days then back to Anna's. She again down sized our apartment to a room in her house that is run like a hostel. I would turn air cond on she would then turn off. I have pictures of the dirtiness off the place. There is clutter everywhere. We had rotting fruit in our fridge, the kettel had rotting ginger in it. No toaster no coffee maker. Had to ask for a bowel for soup and salad. I know in the past when people give bad reviews she calls them liars but she lives there with her husband she is not single. The pool is ice not heated. I had to turn the hot tub on everyday( not til 230 pm) to use it for 530pm.we prepaid so couldnot do anything.
Estaba muy limpio todo con excelente atención de la señora Annie el lugar tiene todo lo necesario como microondas refrigerador y cocina toallas y cameras muy limpias claro que volveremos el lugar es muy seguro se duerme muy tranquilo
Important part of our "5-star" Miami/Everglades grandparent/grandson adventure
This apartment was perfectly suited and situated for our everglades-centered trip with our eleven-year-old grandson. The apartment was well-equipped for our stay, with the appliances and kitchen items to allow us to have our breakfasts and dinners at the four-seat dining table ... a big savings. Several Publix and other supermarkets are ten-minute drives away. The separate bedroom had two very comfortable queen-size beds, with plenty of storage available in two dressers and a walk-in closet. The en-suite bathroom is not large, with the toilet situated such that someone larger than my 6' and 200lbs might find it difficult to use comfortably. However, the walk-in shower was very spacious. The apartment is at the right side of the beautiful home, with free parking at the back of the house. There is a spectacular pool with a great sculptured soaking pool and water slide ... and it was very clean. Our grandson loved the pool! Location is not very far from MIA, with easy access to the Tamiami Trail at the north Everglades, and to the highways to the great Miami zoo and the south Everglades. Anna Marie is a great host, and her on-site "staff" was always responsive and very helpful. For those who would read this as a "hotel review" on that 1-5 scale, I would place the accommodation at a solid "3." But there is so much more this VRBO listing offers to the cost-conscious traveler who is focused on the best over-all travel experience, that I have no problem saying this property was an important part of our "5-star" experience.
Guesthouse badly needs renovation. Housekeeper was very nice, though.
More a large house than a mansion. Close to turnpike but heavy traffic and road construction necessitated using side streets. Very narrow driveway to rear parking, automatic gate didn't work, chipped linoleum, scratched dining table, cheap misaligned cabinets, windowless living room, squeaky beds, sticky tile floors, loud a/c, tiny bathroom, had to put feet in shower when using the toilet, cheap flimsy furniture. Definitely needs renovations. Thank God all we needed was a place to sleep. Won't stay there again though.
If you need a place in South Miami that's central to lots of things you can't beat Ana's place. 15 min from the airport, 10 to a major mall, 15 to the zoo, and 25 to South Beach
I am a self-employed person, easy to get along with.. helpful and concerned about people and tourists staying at my house, I need to make some extra money for my property so I decided to try this system.. central area about 15 mins. from airport,, about 10 mins. from eveglades, and really closed to dolphin and international malls , offer pick up and drop off to airport for an affordable price, and also take you to the malls..
I fall in love with my kitchen and the view.. waking up seing all the green , and the pool. and hear the birds and sing them it is so peaceful and great for anybody to start the day.. you will feel very happy here.
