The house was beautiful and stocked with so many supplies. Also the management company was very responsive. We had a wonderful time at the house and hope to rent it again in the future!

The house was amazing and we can’t wait to go back next year. This was our 5th annual lake trip with 4 best friends and their family. 18 of us in total and this house can’t be beat. The lake views, the cleanliness, the ease of dealing with the management team was top notch. The house is huge and has every amenity you could ask for. The pool and hot tub with the views can’t be beat. A boat lift and 2 jet ski lifts made renting a boat and jet skis a breeze and the kids had a blast. So did the adults! We will be booking this house for years to come!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. It was spacious and well appointed. Loved having a bathroom for every bedroom, with an extra 1/2 bath on the 2nd floor and another on the first floor by the pool. Everything was very clean, even in the outside areas. We had fun with all the games - ping pong, pool, corn hole, shuffle board, and arcade games. We had a great time in the pool, even though the pool lights weren't working, and we were told that before we arrived. The kitchen was large and had very nice appliances. It was well stocked with dishes, glasses, silverware, lots of small appliances, large bowls, cutting boards, pans, and 2 dishwashers to wash them in. The boat lift was great and worked perfectly. There was really only one semi-working jetski lift. If you have jetskis, make sure the lifts are working. The host was very responsive and helpful. The elevator was wonderful! It worked perfectly, just remember to close both doors when you exit. We are very happy we chose this house for our 2026 Family Lake Trip!

Had a golf weekend with buddies. Incredible place. Tons of beds and common areas are huge and very nice. Ground floor is great for hanging out with perfect view of the lake.

What a beautiful house! We loved our stay on Lake LBJ. We made a last minute reservation, despite a terrible weather forecast, to celebrate our daughter's 40th birthday. The rain was intermittent but that did not dampen our weekend at all! Kids and adults loved the huge water slide and high diving platform. Even in October, and with the rain, the lake was warm, and the hot tub hot for the faint of heart. The kids caught some big fish in the lake. The house was amazing and pristine. Everything was top notch from the coffee setup to the many available games. Looked as good as in the pictures! We were delighted to see a Peter Max in the living room. Our little dog wore herself out running up and down the stairs. The yard is completely fenced so there was no worry about escape. The elevator was very handy for loading in and out our gear. The first night we had a little problem, 100% error on our part, we contacted the hosts and Jason was out to help us within minutes. I was still trying to figure out if I had sent the email when he arrived at the door. He was so kind and helpful, really got our stay off on the right foot. We look forward to returning, kids, grandkids, dog and all,

Our family of 7 adults and 4 children had a wonderful stay at this Lake LBJ property. The indoor and outdoor gathering spaces were perfectly designed for a large group, and the open kitchen, dining, and living area gave everyone plenty of room to be together. The kitchen supplies were well stocked, and the large pantry, full-size refrigerator, and additional refrigerator in the laundry room easily held all our food and drinks. The home was very clean, with plenty of bath and lake towels provided. The kids loved the pool and slide, and we all enjoyed using the kayaks. We especially appreciated the south-facing location, which kept the sun from shining directly toward the house and provided shade over the pool during the mornings and evenings. The elevator was also incredibly helpful for transporting luggage and groceries to the main floor and made the three-story home much easier for our senior family members. Check-in and checkout were easy, and the Guest Experience Team was friendly, responsive, and quick to help with any questions. Everyone loved the house, and we are already planning to return next summer!

Beautiful property, minor problems,dryer repeatedly tripped the breaker after short run time, none of ice machines functioned properly,latch on upper dockside deck broken, safety issue for young children,hot tub repeatedly dropped below operating level,when we did not receive our check in instruction we contacted your help line and had very difficult time in communicating with your agent, after many attempt to communicate our e-mail address we were finally able to get the door code and other information.

Gorgeous property, easy check-in process. Kitchen was well stocked with everyday items for cooking. Tons of things for everyone to do from adults to kids. We enjoyed all the amenities the place had to offer.We did have issues with the jet ski and boat lifts, however, the guest services team is excellent and they did everything they could to have them repaired while we were there.

Property was better than advertised. It is very modern, clean, and has a new home feel with fantastic views of Lake LBJ. It was perfect for our family gathering of 10. There is a MBR on the 2nd floor and 3 BR with their own bathrooms and a bunkroom with 10-12 bunks for the kids and its own bathroom on the 3rd floor. I think you could easily sleep 20 with the bunkroom and several of the BR's had built in bunks as well.The 3rd floor has a pool table, shuffleboard, and a video game that the kids used every night. Ping pong table on the first floor. TV's in every bedroom and in the living room/kitchen area as well as in the "outside" area on the first floor. The covered outside area on the first floor was great with plenty of space to sit and lounge and watch the World Cup. There is an elevator too!!!The views from the 2nd floor deck are as advertised and great for coffee in the am and drinks in the pm. The kitchen appliances are all modern, 2 refrigerators, double oven, microwave, 2 dishwashers, and a washer and dryer. There is a large pantry that allowed us to bring supplies and make great homemade meals. The pool and hot tub are awesome, and we used them night and day. The dock was perfect for jet skis with 2 lifts and there was a boat lift as well.The management company, Horseshoe Bay Living, was fantastic and very responsive to any questions and resolved any issues quickly.We would definitely recommend this property and are looking at coming back in 2027. Our group has been going on retreats once a year for more than ten years, and we've experienced a wide range of properties. Many of these properties looked great in the listings but didn't quite live up to expectations once we arrived. We've encountered all sorts of minor issues, from loud A/C units and noisy surroundings to shaky beds and awkward layouts.However, The High Life was a fantastic exception. It lived up to the listings in every way and exceeded our expectations. This was the first time that all four families, including the kids, were completely satisfied – which, trust me, is no easy feat! The convenience of each room having its own bathroom was a huge plus for everyone, and the king-size beds made the stay very comfortable for all the adults. The kids absolutely loved the water slide and pools, while the adults couldn't get enough of the hot tub.With a group of 13 people, it was a pleasant surprise that we all had a seat at the dinner table for the very first time. We also had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy our various activities. Although there was an issue with noise from the neighboring property, the host quickly resolved it, which we greatly appreciated.Our only recommendation would be to provide more life jackets. There were only two adult and one kid life jacket provided. Having a few more on hand would offer additional peace of mind.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be coming back.
