Colony Suites 222-A

Night owls on a budget can’t go wrong with this cozy little room! Tucked away in a shady hall, the unit has a queen-sized bed and flat-screen TV with adjoining bathroom featuring a large walk-in shower and double vanity. In addition, the room has a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee-maker for your convenience. Enjoy all of the amenities of the resort for the price of a regular hotel room!

PET FRIENDLY! NO CATS!

This condo does not have a balcony making it great for a quiet getaway! This suite is an interior unit and and does not have a view.

All of our condos have elevator access. Covered parking under the buildings is optional. This condo also offers all linens, free WiFi internet connection and cable TV.

Our resort encompasses an entire oceanfront block and allows for the easiest beach and pool access on Tybee. The brand new pools include a large heated pool for year round enjoyment, as well as an even larger family-friendly sloping entry pool. Outdoor lounge seating completes the pool area along with a walk-up bar and restaurant at the onsite restaurant, The Deck Bar and Kitchen. Air-conditioned bathrooms and outdoor showers at the beach entrance make your visit even more enjoyable.

If you would like to travel with your dog there is an additional one time $100 pet fee. One dog is allowed in this condo.

Beachside Colony Resort & Vacation Rentals offers the only on-site rental office on the island, open 7 days a week, and ready to help you with any information or tour booking that you need. Our resort is located on the beach, right in the middle of Tybee Island, a spot that puts it one mile from the pier, the hub of the island’s shopping and nightlife, and one mile from the Tybee Light Station, one of only 7 colonial-era lighthouses still in use in America. Directly across the street is Tybee's Memorial Park and our YMCA. This park features tennis, volleyball, basketball, and an amazing playground for kids of all ages as well as picnic and grill areas which can host small to large family gatherings. The island's library is also just across the street.

There are many restaurants within a short walking- or driving-distance, but after a long day on the beach, we invite you to enjoy The Deck Beach Bar and Grill; not only is it right in the middle of the resort, it is the only true beachfront dining experience on Tybee!

We did have a slight issue with our air conditioners but the management did what they could to remedy the problem (short term solution). Only negative was the shower door didn't close all the way and the showerhead would not move inward so water got on the floor. Other than that, it was a perfect little room in the perfect location.

Hidden Secret at Beachside Colony

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We made a last minute call to Beachside Colony for a quick getaway and took the only room they had left. Much to our surprise it is newly remodeled and now our favorite place to stay on Tybee! This one bedroom suite with a kitchenette and large master bath is the perfect price to come as often as you would like. It is in a quite location without a balcony or outdoor patio but perfect when you spend your days by the pool! We were not in the room much but this location was just what we needed for a great night sleep with a new bed. We love coming back when we need a little vitamin SEA!

AC did not work in bedroom even after countless calls to the front desk. Only one set of towels for the whole week. No pool towels in room. For this to b a very simple hotel room (not condo) it was in my top 5 of worst stays in the world. And I traveled 11 yrs all over the world as a project manager. Very disappointed and will never b back ever.

Great Proximity to Beach.

Location is terrific. The property was in decent shape. Pool was good and the bar/restaurant was super convenient. Downsides were the AC "water pump" which was so loud it made it hard to sleep. Also the pictures showed a kurig and a toaster, neither were present. How to get towels wasn't very clear and when I asked I was told we were given enough to sustain our entire stay and I could wash them if needed, there isn't a washer in the unit so I was told I could swap them out... Also there isn't an ice machine on premise so we made ice in the little freezer to keep our cooler cold enough to take to the beech. The AC unit was the worst part of it, but we had a good time otherwise. I would stay at the property again, but would try to find another room.

Hotel room wasn't quite what I thought I was paying for. Didn't include usual amenities as promised such as washer/dryer. Had a coffee maker but no coffee. If I had known I would have brought some from home. Custodial staff made a very loud ruckus each morning. Gate from beach to hotel was broken so any random person could have walked into the resort. There was reminance of hopefully cleaned dried blood on the sheets It was close enough to the downtown area but I probably wouldn't stay there again.

Reviewer Comments: Room 222A needs to have the furniture & carpet updated as both are very worn. The overall cleanliness of the room was well below the standards of the rest of the property. The room value is well below the price point per night. This room is $100.00/night maximum and certainly doesn't warrant the almost $250.00/night rental price. The unit was split into two rental properties and the door separating them is by no means secure.

Beach Colony great, Room 222A not so great

Reviewer Comments: The Beach Colony is perfectly located on Tybee Island and is a great place for a family vacation. We traveled there to attend a family wedding and had four other families staying at the Beach Colony. My husband and I only needed a "room" so we rented 222A. The price was outrageous for what we received. The room only had one lamp and the one window was on an inside corridor, the coffee maker did not work, and the mini fridge and micro were in the bedroom, not in the attached hallway. Although there was plenty of room, there was no seating available except in the hallway where again, there were no lamps. The closet was where the hot water heater was stored and I had to go to the front desk to get some hangers. Overall I would suggest any other condo/room on this property but cannot recommend room 222A at all.
