UPDATE 7/15/23: NEW SOFA, refrigerator and microwave! The Savannah Beach & Racquet Club is a gated bay front complex located on the quiet North end of Tybee Island. The Bay is where the Savannah River meets the Atlantic Ocean. There is a wonderful beach area just steps from the condo. This area of the beach is known to be very family friendly as it is less crowded. The location is great for dolphin watching, watching large ship containers travel into savannah port. If you enjoy walking along the beach you can walk all the way to the South end of the Island, without leaving the sand. The Beach & Racquet Club is a great alternative to staying at a hotel room on the island. Enjoy more space and amenities like fully equipped kitchens, living room with cable TV , private balconies, tennis courts, and pool. All of the one bedroom condos share use of a 14'x20' pool and 10"x10' kiddie pool. A & B building condos have coin-operate laundry on each floor along. There is parking for 1 vehicle only, NO GOLF CARTS, TRAILERS, BOATS, JET SKI'S or OVERSIZE VEHICLES ALLOWED.
3rd floor unit overlooking pool with a side view of beach. Queen size bed in bedroom, queen size sofa sleeper in living room, 2 small bunks in the hallway.

Stays longer then 30 days, October - March, there is additional cleaning fee. Please inquire for details on pricing.

Not what I signed up for

The unit was very small and outdated. Peeling wallpaper and rusted vents. Sliding glass door would not lock and the coffee maker did not work. We were not warned about the taste of the water so we had to go and buy water and ice. The bedroom was very small and the bed was hard to get into. Would not stay in that unit again.

Mini getaway

Very convenient location, perfect beach for littles with cam waters and clean beach. The bunk beds are toddler/small child size and the bed is very high and squeaky with every move. Otherwise everything as fantastic!

Good view horrible bed

The double bed was awful! Loud, uncomfortable and seemed broken. Sheets were dirty.Bunk beds were a joke. Mattress was as thick as a kitchen sponge and only one sheet, no blankets. The coffe maker did not work. If you had more than two people they would need to sit in the kitchen chairs. The only positive thing was the view. We needed handicap access and that was a joke. Had to walk the length of the building to get to elevator. No handicap beach access. Would not stay here again

Great location!

Amazing area and very easy access to the beach. Everything was in walking distance. We watched the dolphins play from our balcony. We had some great food! Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to visit❀

Great location tired unit.

The location is primo, but as other reviews stated, the bed is ridiculously loud making it difficult to sleep. The unit is in bad need of updating. The tile floors are cracked and dirty, wall paper is coming off the walls, and the couch is old and tired.

No Upkeep.

We enjoyed the stay, however we had to use the Mattress from the Bedroom to place on top of the Pull Out couch because the main bedroom bedframe was falling apart. We turned on the shower and it smelled like rotten eggs for an hour which tells me the place has not been rented for a while. Other than that I use to live on Tybee for several years and we made the best of it and still got to see old friends.

Great location

I loved the condo we stayed in. It was clean and conveniently located. The bed was extremely squeaky to the point of keeping me awake but the mattress was comfortable. The water smelled like sulfur but I think that's more to do with the island than the room. Overall, a great weekend getaway!

Squeaky bed/mildew smell

While clean and spacious, bed squeaks with every move - check bed. Couch is very comfortable, but living area smelly musty/mildest. Mattresses on cots are old and very stained. Chose to spend time out of condo condo

Great place!

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was unbeatable. We were on the beach and the beach was never crowded. Also, we could walk to all the shops and restaurants on the North Part of the island. Even the lighthouse was within walking distance (a bit over 1 mile). For the price, the amenities were nice enough. The pool was beautiful, clean, and convenient. The coin laundry worked well. Our balcony offered a beautiful view of the ocean/river. We loved watching the dolphins and the large cargo ships float past. The only room for improvement is in the room furnishings. The couch is a bit dated, the TV remote did not work very well, and the bedroom needed a lamp. We actually moved the lamp from the living room to the bed room during our stay. All in all, I would go back in a heartbeat. It is a great get away place for a husband and wife.

Dated, bed uncomfortable, hot water had a sulfer smell, construction at 7 on a Sunday morning was annoying. Not a comfortable anything in the unit.

Not impressed

I have stayed at the Savannah Racquet Club on 6 different occasions. This room does not measure up to others. The bunk bed in the hallway is really gross. It’s stained and looks like it’s 30 years ago. The sheets , as well as the towels had stains. The furniture had to come from the Goodwill. The TV in the living room is a decent size, but you are watching the show on 32 inch box because it’s in SD and not using a HD cable. There is no TV in the bedroom. There are 2 plastic chairs on the balcony and a weird warped wood stand. The tile is cracked in many places. I wish I could submit pictures in this review. The HOA President and his partner are way too annoying. Literally harassing guests at the pool and beach. I will never be back. The Queen bed is comfortable, and the view is very nice.

Very pleased

This was quite family friendly! I loved the proximity of the beach as well as other areas of the island. The only downside was three floors up with no elevator. My parents are elderly and had a hard time but with a little help, made it okay.

Great location

We enjoy Tennis but courts are in pretty bad shape. We have been coming here for many years but to be a racquet club I think the courts need to be redone. Great view from balcony. Some supplies were lacking (Coffee filters, toilet paper) We really enjoy this area of Tybee.
