Not so much of a Mountain View

The check-in process was fine. The manager sent me check-in info right after payment once agreement was signed. The door code was sent in that message. All other info was in agreement. The cabin was not cleanly at all. The bathtubs were just barely wiped out. Black buildup was coming from the faucets and the jets looked like they had not been cleaned thoroughly in quite some time. This was big because I had my two children (3) with me; one with special needs and having a clean tub is important. Oh and no stopper for tub only a suction device to catch hair. Also there was dust buildup on bedroom furniture and floor plus cobwebs in the ceiling and on the walls. I just didn’t feel comfortable. And the driveway everyone talks about is just as they say..steep and hard to see backing up at night if you’re not used to backing down a mountain. You also have to wash the sheets before you leave. First cabin I’ve ever had to do my linen before leaving. But, besides all of the above the stay was ok. We had working air, tv, and somewhere to lay our head down. The cabin is stocked with dishes and a mini indoor grill, none of which we used. The 2 decks are nice but the trees need trimming as it’s grown up and doesn’t have much of a view. We did enjoy watching all the squirrels jump through them though.. .

Has potential but

The little cabin has so much potential, good location to everything. But If coming in from a hot day & excepting a cool cabin is what you are looking for this cabin isn’t for you.The owner turns the air up to 78/79 degrees every time you leave. If good lighting,closet space & dresser space is something you need, this place is not for you. Owner had all closets and most drawers full of stuff and lighting is soft white and terrible. If you need a porch light to see at night, this place isn’t for you. Want to grill your honey a steak on the BBQ for your anniversary, this isn’t the place for you. You have a counter top “grill” inside only. Need to heat something in the stove? Bring your own baking sheets bc this cabin isn’t equipped. Mountain Views, just a tiny sliver is all you’ll get here. Want to relax on the hammock? Do it at your own risk bc the ropes are dry rotting.Take a shower sure, but don’t expect a bath.No stoppers and the jets are disgusting. If snuggles in the center of the bed is what you love then you will love the downstairs bed bc it puts you and your honey right on top of each other with the sag. Coffee? Good luck figuring out that pot. Parking is very hard, it’s steep, soft and you have to go up the mountain and turn around and back in or pull in and back out into the road. The lower parking has zero access to the porch. As a nursing student and caregiver I would not call the parking handicap accessible.Pool is 4.1 miles away! VRBO listing needs to be updated.

Full week stay

Overall I would give this property 4.5 stars. Negatives: The driveway is a direct pull in and you have to do a 3-point turn to get out which is intimidating if you’re not use to the mountains. (Seems like the norm because all the properties we passed were the same way) The view is blocked by trees so you don’t see the mountains. The pool is 10 minutes away (still a nice pool) The stairs will get your heels if your not careful (skinned the back of mine and my 5 year olds heels. Positives: Check in/check out was a breeze Cabin is a beautiful older style and decorated beautifully. The beds (specifically the lower bed) is a higher quality mattress and very comfortable. The cabin is isolated in the mountains and very peaceful. There are other cabins around but you can’t see/hear them Plenty of TVs/sitting areas. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would book this property again. We stayed here during our week vacation to Dollywood.

2024 Family trip

Very clean place , lots of winding roads to get to it. Close to town and all the fun things you would want to do for sure.

Think twice

No Porch light, no view of mountains due to trees and debris, coffee pot did not work and we had to buy one to make coffee, backing out of driveway very dangerous, no grill, bathtubs jets were nasty!

A piece of heaven

What a wonderful secluded cabin. So much privacy and quietness. The host was very kind to get back with me when needed and my grandson and myself had plenty of room and was nice to have our own bathroom as well. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed and was close to all the fun things we did . You will not be disappointed if you select this cabin. We would definitely rent again 😊

Wedding & Hiking Weekend

The cabin is an easy drive to area attractions and hiking trails. Lovely mountain views as we drove to the cabin. A secluded location, very peaceful for a good night's sleep after hiking.

It was not a Mountain View. Trees in front so could not see the mountains. Coffee pot broke. Went to Walmart to buy another. Marlene never returned our calls or texts.

Good stay but disappointing

The cabin wasn't what we had envisioned from the photos. The cabin was dated with older fixtures. The TV's are very difficult to operate. The driveway is very tight and no where to turn around, (really bad after dark). The biggest disappointment was the Hot Tub was located at the bottom of a very long, steep staircase and not adjacent to any floors. Overall not terrible for the price. Beautiful views!

Beautiful well kept cabin

Cabin is well maintained and equipped with every comfort for our stay. We particularly appreciate the cleanliness and yes, the beds and soft sheets are absolutely wonderful at the end of long hike days. Check-in and check-out requirements are much more particularly than what I am used to but owner is quick to accommodate. The only recommendation I have for the owner to enhance renter's experience is to add a flood light illuminating the driveway. Sure would have helped alot backing in and out in the dark.Tip: the cabin is situated on a steep slope so if you have a low front wheel drive like we did then be mindful of backing to and from the paved driveway onto the gravel driveway leading to the front door. Just head onto the gravel enough to clear the paved driveway but i wouldn't try to drive to all the way to the front door. We had a low car and got stuck on the driveway. Had to call AAA to pull out the car. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Just like home!

Very comfortable home. I liked having easy entry and main floor bedroom since my knees don't like stairs. Close enough to town without having the hassles of traffic. We loved it!

Great Cabin

This was a great cabin for my Fiancé and I to enjoy The Smoky Mountains in. The cabin was very clean, cozy and as described. The views were spectacular. We really enjoyed having our morning coffee on the deck. If we make it back to The Smoky's, we would be happy to book this cabin again.

My View Cabin

We enjoyed our stay at this wonderful cabin. It is conveniently located to Wears Valley, Townsend, Cades Cove, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. It has everything you need for a comfortable and pleasant stay. Check in was very easy. Communication with the Owner was more than excellent. Highly recommend this cabin for a few days to a week getaway.
