This is a basic three bedroom house for the budget conscious traveler. The house is minimally furnished, and has a limited amount of plates, dishes, silverware, etc. It would be very difficult to have seven people in this house for multiple meals and an extended period of time. The house itself is very dark and because they left the air conditioner units in the windows during the winter time, very drafty.
Les points faibles : Communication et exactitude de lâannonce
Check-in time delayed by host by 3 hours on day of check in; revealed day before check in that owner of property (not the host, who is apparently a third party) lived on premises in a separate unit, which was not disclosed in the listing. Then the major issue: water service was disconnected without warning one morning because of non-payment -- we found the notice from the water utility at the front gate. Host was unresponsive for hours when I attempted to contact her via the Vrbo app, and by calling and texting her personal number listed on Vrbo. We involved the owner who lived on the premises; he contacted the water utility and settled the payment -- but he did not inform us that we had to be physically at the apartment when the utility came to turn the water back on, so we went out and the workmen were not able to restore service when they showed up. I learned this when I contacted the utility myself later in the afternoon, after finding another notice at the front gate, and so I requested the workmen to come again and I remained in the Vrbo until they returned and finally restored water. The host ghosted me when I requested a partial refund for my trouble. I complained to Vrbo customer service, but they couldn't help.
As advertised and will stay again next time we are in Salt Lake.It was nice to pull into a garage, with a massive 2025 Ford Expedition Platinum Max rental car which is 18â long and we had space to walk around the front and open the lift gate to get the gear and dogs out in an enclosed space without worry they would get hit in the street. The garage was also heated which would be nice for ski season and although I didnât ski this trip, I did spot those cool ski boot warmers calling my name already set up next to the bench you can sit and take off boots along with a spot to hang the skis up.The main room is massive with a table for 8 and enough room to spread out and chill on the couch and watch tv. The instructions and what to do book was cool and well laid out so you know the laundry or where to eat in town or how to get on the WIFI.The place was clean, smelled nice, and everything worked and we had zero issues plus the kitchen had pretty much everything I have at home so made meals like we do at home. There is a nice fenced yard that is just yours with a separate entry.Owners live upstairs and have a couple dogs, met them they are nice, and we both agreed that although we did hear each otherâs dogs a few times, barely, pretty much went unnoticed and wasnât an issue for either of us.The water was hot, the beds were comfy, and the place was roomy and comfortable with pretty much everything I have at home, so yes, I would stay again next time I am in Salt Lake.
We were a group of 5 and there was plenty of space for our group. We stayed for a few days and the washer and dryer came in handy. The beds were super comfortable. Great place to stay!
Nice little house near Liberty park. The kitchen is nice. The beds are comfortable. There is a decent outdoor space. It is dog friendly. Communication with owner was efficient.
Overall it is a great place to stay. Close to downtown, zoo, a park, and highway. The only issue that we saw was the lack of plates and silverware. Each meal required running the dishwasher as there wasn't enough utensils and plates for the day with a group of four. Other than that it was a wonderful place.
We stayed 5 nights in the Dracu Hollow in March and had a wonderful experience! The house had everything we needed, the host was very responsive, and she helped us easily extend our stay. The property is also great for dogs with the large dog door to the backyard. We hope to return to the Hollow and highly recommend it!
This house is exactly as photos/description show it. Bedrooms are perfect size, and open kitchen/living room layout is great for hanging with your crew. Very close to a lot of restaurants/stores.
