Great extended weekend getaway!

The view fromThe sunroom was great- the house had plenty of room to spread out - very clean- prompt responses from host- the kitchen was large but very dim- I would suggest some better lighting -the dock was in good condition and we enjoyed our stay

Comfortable, well-stocked house on a quieter part of the lake. We liked that the bedrooms were spread out to give everyone their own space. The view off the deck was wonderful. The host was easy to work with. We would definitely rent this house again.

Best Friends' Weekends

Great weekend with 5 of my oldest and best friends for our somewhat annual get together. Location & size of the place was perfect...quiet but close enough to Chapin if we needed to get anything. Place was very clean, had basically everything that we needed and description was very accurate. We would definitely rent this place again.

Great Lake Getaway

Took my sons and a few friends for a weekend fishing trip. The house was in great shape with a beautiful deck and dock. Convenient location and we will be back!

Very nice house on a quiet cove of Lake Murray. The house is very roomy and well appointed. Lovely sunroom and new deck overlooking the water.

Perfect getaway!

The property and accommodations are wonderful. I can’t say enough about the management team. My daughter accidentally locked herself out and Ginger took the time on a Sunday and drove to the property and let her in. I would highly recommend staying here. JV

July weekend

The location was wonderful. House is located in a nice quiet cove. Sun room is absolutely wonderful. We spent a lot of time there, we never watched TV. Plenty of room. Property manager always answered any concerns we had. Would stay here again.

Great stay on the lake

This place is exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful view and location on the lake. Lazy days fishing and playing with the dogs in the awesome fenced yard! The kitchen was well stocked and there was room for everyone. The sunroom was an amazing place to relax and play games with our adult kids. We also met the neighbors and they were very nice and welcoming. We will be back!

Great spot!

We had a great Memorial Day weekend with our family! This spot was convenient to Dreher Island ramp, with room for two boats on the dock. There was plenty of parking for the truck and trailer, even a culdesac for easy turn around. Everything worked. The house was clean and tidy. I would recommend!!

50th Anniversary Celebration of Sister

It was an event to remember. Three day party. We appreciated coming back to the lake house before and after. The beauty and peacefulness of your property was so enjoyable. We also appreciated that we could bring our dogs. The neighbors were friendly. A great escape. Thank you for allowing us to lease this property.

Reconnecting with SC

We had a great time here. This home was very welcoming to our family. My wife and I have 3 kids, a 20 year old, a 13 year old and a 9 year old. We all wanted to stay longer. We visited Charleston, the Riverbank Zoo and the Congaree National Park. All 3 places my wife and I had been to before, but this time we went as a family of 5 and enjoyed every minute. Hope to get back again soon show our kids other areas around Columbia that we enjoyed when we lived hear. Thanks for having such a nice place to stay.

Winter get away

03/05/2023 The home was wonderful and we enjoyed our 56 day stay. The family room was great and we spent a good portion of our time there. The master bedroom was huge along with the master bath. There was plenty of room for guests with two extra bedrooms, but not to big for the two of us to enjoy. The only issue is the internet and television. There is no cable or satellite tv. There is internet but it’s not very good. I had to use my phone hotspot to watch news or shows that we would normally view. For whatever reason it was unusable between 4PM and 10PM. So the question is, “would you rent it again ?” Our answer is absolutely. We have it booked for next year.

Comfortable stay

The property was true to the listing. Beds were comfortable and plenty of room for family to enjoy time together. The deck was new and plenty of outdoor seating. The layout a little quirky but master bedroom view great!

Good views

Ac in bedroom don’t work, never got it fixed my son and daughter left because it was too hot to sleep in there and my son has cp machine and it was too uncomfortable. No iron they didn’t say they had one but they had ironing board let down, stayed no one ever ask for one. Well I did we always use one. Last customer was right no lights outside just flash like taking pictures. So if u come back when it’s dark u can’t see anything and that flashing makes it worst. Also no view from living room just sunroom which is extremely hot cannot sit out there, ac need to be fixed in the sunroom. It also is not open floor plan u will be by yourself in kitchen it off from everybody. Living room very dark. Deck has umbrella but again when sun comes out it don’t help so u are stuck in the house until sun goes down. Kayaks are great and views. Cannot swim in water it is very dirty no one was swimming not even other home owners. No good fishing, neighbors said they call it Dead Sea because of no fish but lots of turtles. I think they should add a bathroom on other side get rid of formal dining room m. U come to see lake not huge garage because there is no view in front just large garage.

August Lake Vacation

My extended family enjoyed our week at Lake Murray. The house was clean and comfortable. We spent our time either on the deck, in the lake, or in the sunroom. We enjoyed using the kayaks. We wish there had been a canoe also. Very relaxing.

Wonderful holiday weekend!

The lakehouse was the perfect venue for our family's Thanksgiving. We had 9 adults and with the 3 rooms and the sofa bed and some air mattresses we were able to accommodate everyone. We enjoyed tossing the football around and playing corn hole in the backyard on Thanksgiving Day. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

Wonderful Lake View

The sun room was our favorite room but unfortunately with the blinds up to enjoy the view it made the room super hot. The fans barely helped. It was great having access to a kayak to enjoy the lake. The mud was soft and sticky making getting into the water difficult.Some kind of ramp would have been nice. The boat dock had been refurbished but the deck was tilted and did not look very safe. The carpets could use a good cleaning. There was an aroma of urine. The bed and linens were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked but dark despite having all the lights on. Uber and Lyft are not accessible here. The wifi was not good. This is the place you want to be to get away from it all and read a book.

Much potential, but not there yet. Would prefer to give 3.5 overall

First, we LOVED the location of this house. It is on a quiet cove with quick access to big water. We were able to rent a boat and keep it right at our dock for a few days. Three things allowed me to give a 3 star rating vs 1 (I actually wish I could give 3.5 because it was a bit above 3 but not quite 4.) Those would be: 1.) Location of the property 2.) pet friendly and nice very large fenced area for my dog 3.) The property management company and owner’s response to the issues we experienced. They both really did try and correct the issues but some things were beyond their control. When we first arrived, we absolutely loved it. But 24 – 48 hours in we became aware of the issues. This house changed ownership in April 2021 and we were told the new owner is refurbishing as they can, between rentals. There is MUCH needed. First: Internet/Wifi service. It pretty much doesn’t exist. Forget streaming anything. There is no cable service available, but there are smart TVs. Unfortunately, the problem lies with the ISP and it is all satellite and simply doesn’t work. This is completely out of the owners control for now as it is the only service available in the area for the time being. But guests need to know that their internet connection will NOT work about 80% of the time and when it does work, it will be extremely slow Next, the deck and the dock: There have been some repairs made but the conditions of both are not good, and actually somewhat dangerous. There are screws and nails sticking up that will puncture bare feet or pet paws. Guests should be cautioned NOT to walk the deck or docks barefoot and be very careful with dogs Appliances: The dispenser for the water and ice in the refrigerator was broken when we arrived (which we reported) and a repairman was sent out. However, it was not fixed during out 16 day stay and we were told the part was very expensive and the owner was planning to just replace the refrigerator instead. Hopefully, that has now been done. We had a problem with the dishwasher (at times it seemed to not get power) and we were told a repairman would be out. However, it was working on/off so I told the property manager not to bother. The washer and dryer were wonderful! The vacuum was so clogged with dirt that it would not work and my husband ended up taking it apart and cleaning it so we could vacuum. I personally found the house to be well equipped. What few things I needed for the kitchen that were not there I went out and

Repairs needed

The location and lot are wonderful. However, the condition of the house and dock are in need of repairs. A family member fell through a rotten piece of board on the dock. Other boards on the dock and deck need repair or replacement. The TV and wifi never worked; the property is not that remote. It is 7 miles to a Publix. Management told me I should call the company and troubleshoot. As a fellow vacation rental owner, I have never told guests to troubleshoot. The sink and refrigerator leaked. Not enough linens upon arrival for the size of our party which was shared at time of booking. Ice maker is broken. Listing says fully stocked - it is not. No basic cleaning supplies, no kitchen basics beyond cookware. Management communication limited to business hours. Could be such a great place. Kayaks and yard/lake toys were awesome. But needs some attention to repairs ASAP.
