The kitchen was equipped great! Plenty of plates and silverware. It was great having a dishwasher and the pods were supplied to use. We found plenty of aluminum foil and used the grill. There were plenty of pet bowls, pet kennel and a pet bed for our use. Lots of seating and the family absolutely loved the screened back porch! It was a great overflow house for our family! We are considering booking again for Thanksgiving 2026!
This property is wonderful! Would highly recommend and definitely would stay again! Spacious rooms, well accommodated, pet friendly, kind neighbors, spacious backyard with dock and water access, easy communication with the host, and everything easily ready to locate! The only downfall was our trip not being short and not able to enjoy this lovely stay longer!!!
This was my second stay.. perfect quiet weekend away, was able to visit my USC son and catch a football game. Screened in porch is my favorite place for coffee in the morning and an evening drink
Everything was perfect! We had an awesome girls cousin reunion. Only lsuggestion would be a hand rail at front steps. Balance an issue for us older gals, hip ,knee relpacements etc lol. We will surely stay again! Thanks so much!
Beautiful house in a perfect location. Quiet and peaceful with amazing views but still close enough to town so you can grab a bite or get groceries. Ideal placement on the lake as well, great starting point for all boating activities. We loved this stay and hope to make it an annual holiday.
Weâve rented numerous homes on Lake Murray, but this one is our favorite. The screened in porch is second to none, and the house layout is excellent. May want to consider adding a small smart TV to the master bedroom very satisfied with the week we spent there and will definitely be renting this location again.
Everything was great , beautiful house and location, everything was clean and spotless, plenty of towels and and anything else we could have asked for, host was great, went above and beyond for us , could not have asked for any better !!! Will definitely be checking to see if available next time going that way !!!
This is the second year my husband and I have rented this home to host Christmas Eve and Christmas dinners for my local family. It is a fantastic space for lots of people! A large, gorgeous kitchen with lots of cookware and tableware. A dining area open to the family room makes for easy interaction and enjoyment with more eating space on the deck. Comfortable beds, great living space, gorgeous views - an amazing place for a gathering of family and friends!
Beautiful property on Lake Murray with stunning views from the living room, master, screen porch and dock which is in short walking distance from the home. The house was clean and well stocked with what we needed for the trip. I was on a trip for USC graduate school and wish I could have enjoyed it more but I plan to come back!
Amazing is only one of the words I can use to describe this wonderful property! The home is in a quiet neighborhood on a cul de sac and appears small from the street, but upon entering, it seems twice the size! It's wonderful! The rooms are much larger than they appear in the pictures of the property. The design of the home is such that the bedrooms offer enough room and privacy apart from a well designed kitchen. There is a large living room with a stone fireplace and adjacent hallway with chairs with both rooms providing a view of the lake. There is a large screened in porch with a picnic table and sofa adjacent to an outdoor deck with additional chairs and a grill.... the perfect setting for a wonderful family cookout! The stay at the property also included the use of a kayak, lifejackets and a paddleboard. As a result, two of my grandchildren ages 3 and 5 were able to experience their very first ride on a lake in the kayak with their parents. They had the opportunity to observe 2 bald eagles in flight over the lake as well as go fishing off the dock! All of this leads me to say that this property is made for making memories! I know that I'll always cherish the time I was able to spend with my family, to see the happy times they spent here and the experiences they had. Thank you Clint for the wonderful time we had at your property! You were a great host, you responded quickly to our messages, and you were easy to communicate with.
Oh what a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful and updated. The screened porch with the view is stunning.
If you are traveling with older adults in your group, BE AWARE the living area has a step down and you step up when you leave it. My 76 year old mom nearly fell on multiple occasions.
The front door also has the door jam raised and everyone in our party tripped on that multiple times. Ha. Just thought id share.
Its furnished very nicely. I would recommend bringing your own throw cover as there was only one throughout the home and we enjoy cool mornings on the porch. Be sure to also bring your own soap and shampp for showering as none is provided.
We so much enjoyed our stay and would stay again and again. Just look down while walking.
The property was beautiful and directly on Lake Murray. It was also what we expected based on the pics and description on VRBO however, are stay was 4 nights and Helene Storm came through on our first night so we were without power and use of appliances, lighting, AC, etc for the entire 3 1/2 days that remained. Both couples also had to share the master bath since the other bathrooms had not windows and were dark even during the day. We also had to limit use of the showers/hot water as not to run out. We understand that the storm was out of Clint's hands however, we did ask him for some type of refund since we did not use any electricity and certainly were unable to take advantage of the amenities the home had to offer. We have not even received a response from Clint as the whether or not he is willing to give us a partial refund of the price we paid. May we also suggest that a generator would be beneficial for renters in cases such as this. We would appreciate any partial refund Clint could give us. Thank you,
Weâve been staying at Murray for the past 14 years and this home is the best one weâve stayed in yet. Plenty of parking. Plenty of room inside the home. Host allowed use of the garage which was such an added bonus. Everything was perfect and look forward to booking the same home again next year.
Very nice, quiet home for a family get away. Maybe the most comfortable beds ever. The house is so well insulated that you do not hear noise from other rooms, not even from a 2 yr old. The decks and view were my favorite.
I have stayed in countless rentals across the country and this is by far the best one yet. The home was clean and beautiful. The sunsets are incredible from the dock or screened in porch.
We had a awesome time with family. The house was great and beautiful scenery. The owner was excellent in communicating with everything. We will be planning a trip again soon.
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Atlanta but moved to Charleston when I was 18. I absolutely love Charleston but can't quite get the lake life out of my system. It's what I was born and raised around. Finding this house was one of the best things that has happened to my family. We would have started renting it out summer of 2022 but we used it so much we just delayed renting it. I hope your family enjoys it as much as ours does. My kids will have memories to last a lifetime.
This has everything you could want to enjoy the lake. Large screen porch and deck with a grill, nice sized yard, nice dock with seating, floater and a boat ramp to ease in and out of the water. The house was remodeled in 2022 with a new 3 zone, heating and air condition system so you can stay comfortable through all seasons. A tandem kayak, paddle board and small inflatable raft will let you get on the water. You can rent a boat and anchor out at a nearby sandbar or go to one of the restaurants on the lake.
Everything is new but designed so that you are not walking on egg shells while you vacation. It's meant to enjoy. Whether you want to spend most of your time by the water, on the porch, grilling or watching football on the 82 inch TV.
