uitzicht prachtig

We zouden vanaf 16.00u in de woning kunnen,de sleuteldame liet weten dat.zeer pas om 18 00u kon zijn Niet fijn,de woning was moeilijl te vinden. Inrijden in krappe straatje was niet mogelijk,parkeer gelegenheid hangt van toeval af. De woning was niet schoon.Keuken vies,kapotte wc bril,douche nauwelijks te gebruiken. zéér krap en deurtjes bijna niet te openen. Dekbed vol met waarschijnlijk roestvlekken. Keukenvloer plakte. Smoezelige en rommelige woning. De opgang was ook wat moeizaam maar dat is inherent aan zo'n oude binnenstad. Het uitzicht was fantastisch!! De advertentie kwam niet overeen met de werkelijkheid.

Perfect

The view from this apartment is just so typical of staying in the old part of Menton. High views over the rooftops to the sea. Watching the sun set towards Monaco. We love the proximity to the town and the beach and more importantly the silence of being on a pedestrian only street.

Monolocale con una bella vista mare, ma non ben tenuto.

A parte i diguidi iniziali circa la prenotazione, che, non abbiamo capito per colpa di chi, non risultava registrata al proprietario, mentre i soldi dalla carta ci erano già stati prelevati ( Poi risolto! ); A parte la disponibilità del proprietario, che ha risposto sempre gentilmente e prontamente alle nostre domande; Abbiamo trovato l’appartamento in non buone condizioni generali: c’erano briciole sul tavolo, pavimento e sedie; asciugamano del bagno sporco e altri elementi che facevano capire che le pulizie non erano state fatte dall’ultima volta che qualcuno lo aveva occupato. Il proprietario ci ha detto che non capiva il perché, ma prima di far entrare qualcuno è doveroso assicurarsi che tutto sia in ordine. In generale, a nostro parere, l’appartamento non è in buone condizioni di mantenimento...stoviglie non pulitissime, tazze con ancora i segni delle bevande, biancheria dei letti con macchie e buchi, copertura dei divani non pulita come dovrebbe, sedili sedie staccati...etc Siamo una famiglia abituata a viaggiare in Europa in b&b anche molto semplici, ma puliti...e non è stato questo il caso. Dispiace, data la posizione e la vista mare!

A wonderful week

My husband and I spent a very happy week in this apartment in June of this year. The apartment is very clean comfortable and well equipped. It is beautifully situated in the pretty old town of Menton. and from it we were able to walk to the town's many restaurants, bars and shops. The apartment has a wonderful view of the sea and the coastal hills above Monaco, and it was a joy to open up the shutters and see it every morning. We certainly hope to use the apartment again.

Comfortable and lovely views

We (a couple in our 60s) stayed at this apartment for the last two weeks of August and were very happy with it. It is a good sized space – larger than we expected, and very comfortable. There was enough space to store our clothes and other stuff. We loved the windows, and opening them up and seeing the sea and the mountains. It was great to be able to open the windows at both ends of the apartment and get a bit of breeze through. We slept on the IKEA bed chairs and they were comfortable. We opted to move them to the area between the shower room and the settee and keep them out rather than fold them up every night. With a throw and cushions they looked fine (we thought) and didn’t get in the way. The kitchen isn’t large, but it provided us with all we needed. We didn’t do much cooking but the hob, the fridge and the washing machine all worked fine. There was plenty of hot water for washing up and showers. If you like modernist minimalism then this is probably not the apartment for you, but we liked the eclectic and personal collection of furniture and objects. It is located in the old town, a few minute’s walk from the main restaurants and the beaches. Slightly longer coming back, because it is hilly. A few negatives, though these for us were fairly trivial: the dvd didn’t work; the place could do with a bit of a declutter. The stairs from the front door to the apartment would be a challenge for anyone who was not steady on their feet. They are quite steep and not well lit. We had a lovely time, and really enjoyed being in the apartment. We would use it again, and recommend it.
