Property was nice. Felt safe. Inside was clean. Outside living areas needed a leaf blower to get rid of the debris from the trees. Hot tub was clean and very nice to use. Would stay here again.

The property was a jewel hidden in the trees. The property manager responded immediately to our needs. The only drawback is the driveway. It is very difficult to navigate.

Premium costs for a place in need of Maint.

The driveway is something else, little light to assist with a nasty boulder you can't see in the dark. Downstairs toilet is a tired piece of porcelain and the flush valve acted up requiring a plumber to visit. Glad the house was not full. The spa was green with lots of bubbles, told it was the water so we choose a place specifically to use a spa under the stars. I don't get it with owners who try to save the water and spend major to keep treating the chemical experiment. Drain it and start over.. Liked the expresso machine using bottled water because the local water is green. Bed was nice, outdoor fire pit seemed a little high to enjoy the heat but the morning time was great until the guy down the hill started up his wood shop. Oh well we live and learn

Thank you for taking the time to review Summerwood, and we are sorry to hear about the issues during your stay. The troublesome toilet has been replaced. Regarding the hot tub, we apologize if the there was confusion as to why there was a green hue to the water. There are minerals in our water, which can become concentrated in Summerwood's neighborhood since it is at the top of the hill slightly above the water tanks. These minerals can react with the chemicals in the hot tub water causing the greenish tint to otherwise clean, safe-to-use water. This is periodically the case at Summerwood and other homes we manage in the neighborhood, and it doesn't have anything to do with not changing out the tub water. The tub is professionally serviced on a weekly basis and regularly drained and refilled.

Nice Place! Would stay again.

I chose this property because I liked the rustic look of the place and it fit our needs. It met my expectations. The beds were decently comfortable (foam not spring mattresses), the furnishings are what's to be expected of a property that has been a dedicated rental forever. I liked the local art up on the walls. Every room has a skylight, and that helped us wake up bright and early. The driveway is a little steep, our tires were spinning getting in and out. The hot tub wasn't working, they tried to come fix it, but it has an error message that activates a few minutes after it looks like it's working, so we never did get to use it. The AC worked well which was critical because it was 100 degrees outside. I had a fun time with my family. We did a river float 2.5 miles from Steelhead Beach to Sunset Beach, there is a convenient shuttle service between the two. We ate at a local restaurant downtown with live music and hung out on the back porch at night. There is also an excellent ice cream parlor. This place helped us make some good memories and the rental company was easy going.

Short on maintenance and supplies

The home was very nice, clean. We booked the home for one week....However, the tv in living room, you could not watch due to the speaker was so blown, totally distorted. There were no garbage bags, only the two which were in cans. The hot tub when I opened it, smelled so bad (rotten eggs) and was milky!! Could not use either. The home in backyard is pet friendly, however, the whole backyard around the deck had large trees that had berry blooms all over, pretty but were poisonous if ingested!! Totally not pet friendly!!?? So that made the entire week nerve-racking with my little Frenchie. The pool guy finally showed up the day before we left. And and as a funny , the neighbor to left side of house loves to walk nude and trim her plants...No biggie lol !! Overall, whomever is NOT doing the maintenance on the property with supplies and cleaning, fired!! 150.00 for a tv replacement would be recommended. Oh and two towels in two bathrooms each for one week was also poor planning, along with no washcloths. I stay in vacation homes about 5 times a yr, this homes maintenance was pretty bad !! I've stayed in little sugar shacks on coast , but had all maintenance and supplies as needed for a family of four for one week!!

Hello Alicia, We are surprised and saddened to hear this was your experience at Summerwood. This home does not have a pool. The spa service was called before your arrival to service the hot tub and he did. We did not see any messages from you about any issues during or after your stay. We would have loved to fix any issues or bring more supplies if needed. There are towels left out for the number of guests in the home. We appreciate your feedback and will look into all of your comments.
