Great place to stay and close to the beach! We had an AC issue and the maintenence got came out 10 minutes later. They brought in 2 portable ACs to make sure we were comfortable. We'll stay there again!

Property was nice, my boys enjoyed the pool. Some of the pictures are for the neighboring property that I think is owned by the same company (the splash pad and playground). We received our check in link 30 mins after 4. You could tell there was someone by to clean but a lot of sand was left behind to where it was even on the kitchen countertops. The washer/dryer combo was nice but you can tell they don’t clean it. It’s in a closet so easy for the front loader gasket to mildew since the door cannot be left open without creating a barrier to the hallway and it definitely had some. Overall it was a good stay not too far from the beach but you do have to drive to find a spot. If I have any feedback it’s that with one restroom for a place that sleeps 7 there should be a large mirror or vanity placed in the main bedroom to allow someone to get ready outside of the bathroom.

Great location, whitecap beach is excellent and our preferred choice while staying there. The beaches during the week aren’t extremely busy and there’s stores in reasonable driving distances. I recommend HEB if you need to stock up. The island grocery was nice and had a lot of things as well. Honestly, I would recommend sitting outside if you eat the Anchor or possibly try another restaurant. We found that there were many restaurants and venders up and down the beach and you’re within walking distance or the parking are was easy to use. We also recommend purchasing a beach pass if you have a vehicle that can handle loose sand aka 4x4, AWD, and some front wheel drives. Our son got a little stuck in his two wheel drive tundra. We flew kites, swam , and drove down the beach past whitecap and saw a lot of fisherman as well someone caught a sting ray. I thought the pier ice cream was pricey for what it was honestly. I recommend the various ice cream shops in Corpus and the seafood markets Paul’s was one. Additionally, watch for loose items by the beach as I had to do some tire repair after picking up a bolt in my tire, which I believe was due to various work trucks on the beach. Overall great location, clean beaches, and we had age ranges from 8-17 and saw many younger children enjoying the beach at whitecap.

We really wanted to love this place. the property itself had a lot of potential but a few things got in the way of a smooth vacation experience:• Check-in was later than expected: We weren't able to get in until after 6:00 PM, which really cut into our first day.• WiFi was a challenge on Day 1: The internet wasn't working when we arrived, and while a technician did come out, we still didn't have working WiFi by the end of the day. It was a bit frustrating, especially after a technician visit.• Kitchen could've been cleaner: Some of the pots, pans, and cups didn't appear to be properly cleaned before we arrived.• Broken fridge shelf: The shelf in the refrigerator was broken, which made storing food a little inconvenient.• Floors and ice maker: The floors hadn't been cleaned yet, and the ice maker was dirty.Overall, we know these kinds of things happen, but for the price, we were hoping for a cleaner, more move-in-ready experience. The property itself was nice but with better housekeeping and a bit more attention to detail, it could be a great spot. Just be prepared for some small issues that could've been handled before arrival.

Great family getaway!

Family of 5 and our pup were able to fit comfortably in the unit. While not directly on the beach, the beach was a very short walk away. Great location to the mainland. Beds were very comfortable. I do wish there were better pans in the kitchen, but definitely did the job. This was my youngest children’s first time to the beach and they will forever have this trip in their memories.

Island time

Stayed here while our house was being finished. Great location and space inside the rental. Only negative was the kitchen was not very well stocked and there were no cleaning supplies to keep the place tidy especially if you are planning to be there for longer than a weekend.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arriving we noticed several dog poop ppiles along our unit, made a complaint, no one came those two months to clean it up. Tv stopped working, dryer quit, owner took care of both but it shouldn't be like that. Resort management and owners or corporate owners need to address appliances issues, because several renters has similar issues. It's time for some serious updates and better landscaping plus larger signs about cleaning up after pet's. We are returning next year, love the area ,pool and all the people we call our friends. We support you now please return the favor.

Great place, close to the beach.

We loved this place! When we walked in we were impressed how clean it was and they even took the time to put easy listening music on the TV. It was a sweet touch. It was small but felt big because it wasn't cluttered with furniture. The sleeper sofa was like a typical sleeper sofa, not very comfortable. But the other beds were so incredibly comfortable. I have back issues and end up sleeping on couches most places we stay but I had zero issues on the bed. The code to get in made it easy to access, the gate on the porch was a nice touch with my baby crawling around. The only issue we had was the people at the pool but that is not the rentals fault. We were frequently bothered by the loud music when it was explicitly stated no music and it was so loud and the drinking in the pool just really got to us. But it was a very nice pool otherwise, very clean and close to the property. We would definitely stay again but would try and stay when maybe there were less people at the pool.

Peace and quiet

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It is our 19th anniversary and me and my husband was thinking about downsizing our RV to a teardrop. So I decided to book this 3 days in a small airstream because we both like the vintage look. I love the decor and the setup. The biggest highlight was the shower, super comfy. We are on the larger side so this allows us to weigh our options. We absolutely loved it but the location in the park was sublime. View of the pond and people playing with their dogs at the park. We only had neighbors on the back of us,and I empty field in front. so I was free to come out in my pj's with a cup of coffee and enjoy the sunrise and sunset. Loved it.... Our anniversary falls on Labor Day weekend, so we even got to attend their Labor Day festival. It's free hot dogs and hamburgers with live music, couldn't get any better. The staff was super friendly. It gives small family community vibes. Five stars for super clean although everything was easy access and we didn't need to bother the host. I did forget the code inside the trailer and found myself locked out the gate. But a sweet angel in the office went ahead and buzzed us in without any questions. Most definitely will be going back

Thank you for your review. However, we feel it may have been meant for a camping site and not the townhome with Padre Escapes. Either way, we are happy to hear you had a great anniversary trip !

Big Sur=Big Five Stars!

We had a wonderful experience! The place was cute, clean, comfortable and close to the beach! It was also very spacious for it being only one bedroom. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family. Thank you!

Great place

The property was amazing. The only issue i had was i brought my dogs (which was great because not many places let you have large pets), but there wasn't really a good place for them to go out. There was no grass only rocks. Other than that I had no problems and would definitely stay again, just without my dogs.

Second stay

This was our second stay in this condo, and loved the place for the location, cleanliness and quiet. Walking distance to the beach or very close to free beach parking. Bed is very comfortable and full kitchen was great for cooking in. There is a large and nice IGA grocery very close by.
