The condo came as advertised. It was perfect for myself and my dog. The location and views are second to none. I much enjoyed watching the sun rise from the picture window in the living room. Although I didnât take advantage of the pool and spa, both were maintained in immaculate condition and were used a lot by families. All in all, I was extremely happy with my week-long stay at the condo.
This unit is a good fit for an active solo traveler or couple looking for a home base from which to explore Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park. The unit is small but makes an efficient use of space. As an example, there's a small coffee table/desk that has storage space, and the top can be lifted upward toward the sofa. There are wooden stairs (five wooden steps, a landing, five more wooden steps) with handrails and then a graduated concrete sidewalk down from the parking area to the unit. The owner provided helpful information concerning the appliances and responded promptly and helpfully to the inquiries I made.
We enjoyed all the modern amenities surrounded by a beautiful, rustic backdropâjust far enough to feel like a true getaway but still only 10 minutes from endless adventures. With lakes, trails, hiking, fishing, and the charming town of Estes Park nearby, there was always something exciting to explore.
This place was perfect for us. Warm and snug and it had all the things we needed. We enjoyed looking out the window at the snow blowing around while sitting in front of the fire!
Awesome little cabin with tons of character. Good location, easy to get anywhere Estes related. Cool features inside. Host provided tons of info and directions well in advance to stay. Thank you, Daniel!
Every potential storage space: cabinets, drawers, bedroom closet, top of fridge, top of dryer, under the bed, inside ottoman, under the desk, behind the TV is filled with useless clutter. The unit is quite small already but the storage of unnecessary items was shocking. 71 old shirts, suits in tiny closet. 10-15 bottles of shower items in the tub, top of refrigerator is covered with items. The only âavailableâ space left in the kitchen was inside the microwave and fridge, literally!! The mattress is pitiful. You sink into it like sleeping on a beanbag. Window screens in bedroom either missing or needing replaced. Itâs insulting to be a guest and feel like you are intruding into a space that has no room for your personal items.
It was overall so calming!! Would definitely recommend on staying here again. It was really cold but hey itâs the mountains. Sooo much to do here which honestly made it worth it. Recommend going to the Stanley Hotel for sure
What a great place to stay! I travel alone often, so I definitely felt safe! The location was perfect for my short adventurous weekend seeing/hiking the Rocky Mountains for the first time. All the amenities I needed were there and wanted especially the fireplace! And the sunrises out the front window were mesmerizing! Daniel was very responsive when I had questions and really thought out the needs of his renters!
Overall, we really enjoyed the stay. When booking I somehow missed taht there was a pool and a hot tub right next to the condo! The condo was cozy and had everything we needed for our week long stay, Daniel was able to extend our stay last minute another day (we sincerely didnât want to leave). The view of the sunrise from the living area and the patio was breathtaking! My only issue is the bathroom is crowded and no countertop so made getting ready for the day a little challenging. Would definitely stay again.
Took us some time to locate the condo based on directions given. Place have it all. We had few electrical problems & lack of AC and fan not working. Maintenance guy came after 2 days to install a small window AC unit which helped. Overall very good location & beautiful views.
Very tiny. This property is best for a couple ONLY. My 13 yr daughter slept on a hard ottoman. It advertised as a day bed and. This house says it sleeps 4. My small family of 3 could not all sit on couch at the same time. Which is very uncomfortable.
The masters bed is great. Bathroom is great views are spectacular.
The unit was cozy as could be, location a huge plus, but communication with the host was non-existent until 1:00 on the day of our visit, when I had originally reached out 4 days prior. The bed looked as if someone had slept in it and not changed..so when I called to report that He seemed to get offended and said "thats the way I make it.
What a perfect location in Estes, just a short drive up highway 7 in a peaceful area. This condo-style cabin is very modern & thoughtfully designed. We stayed a little over a week & were very comfortable. The fireplace is super cozy with amazing views of elk & other wildlife from the picture window.
Daniel took into account every detail & has a very useful guide on how to use the shower/sauna & other amenities. The cabin is fully stocked with anything you may need on a longer staycation.
The check in process was a little rocky. Daniel had requested to call him upon our arrival. We let him know in advance what time we would be arriving. Upon checking in, he did not answer. There was no door code listed on the VRBO app or in his paperwork sent. It took a little over an hour to hear from him which was a tad inconvenient since we just drove 19 hours with a fully loaded down vehicle.
After that, daniel was more than easy to reach through text. We had a hiccup with the electrical upon entering the cabin, (the lights were out & we couldnt find the breaker). But Daniel was quick to reply with the solution.
Overall, this stay was incredibly serene & the property itself is VERY modern & gorgeous. We would love to stay again!
We didn't realize the door code had been changed shortly before we arrived to our destination. En route to our destination, the host sent a different door code in an email saying he changed it, so we couldn't get in using the original door code given us earlier. I didn't have email on my phone so I had no way of knowing he had changed the door code at the last minute. I couldn't contact the host to my knowledge so we went back home. Daniel Sewell, the host, said he would not refund my money. He felt it was my fault for not contacting vrbo.com to get hold of him while we were at the property. I am not a technical person since I am 82 years old and don't have an email on my phone. I felt he was rude to me. I think people need to realize that not everyone has a cell phone or knows how to navigate a cell phone. He needed to consider the fact that changing door codes mid-stream right before we got there might not be a wise decision for that reason. Since we were not going to get a refund and we had payed for two nights, we decided to go back to the place and use the second night's rent. Therefore, we lost one night's pay. We tried to make the best of our last night's stay although the place was very small for the price we paid. Never again!!
