We have rented this house for several years. We come with friends to scallop in the summer and love that we have access to a boat slip right outside our door. Itâs so convenient, close to everything, and the house is just perfect for our crew. Hoping for many more years of memories here. Thanks for another great stay!
The property was great. Perfect for family and friends. The only issue was the dryer wasnât working. We were too busy having fun to worry about that though. Otherwise we had a wonderful time. Would absolutely book this property again.
We had a very nice time in Homosassa. The host and property manager were super responsive to every question that we had. The house is very big which was nice since I had to do some work during the day. It is so close to many fun things to do and wonderful places to eat. It was also nice to be so close to the pool. We would come back to this house and location again.
Loved this house for family getaway ! Relaxing days , boating , scalloping , swimming at the springs .. close to local restaurants .. great for cooking family dinners in .. family is already asking for repeat next year !
All the things to make enjoying Homosassa by boat. Large clean home, dockage and private boat ramp. We very much enjoyed our stay and plan to be back next scallop season.
We will rent again. The house is amazing owner is great and location cannot be beat. Some confusion on check in due to email issues but owner was right on it. Wonderful stay
Great property. Accommodated 3 couples. Each had their own bathroom. Right on the river, short boat ride to the Freezer (great restaurant). Very clean, will definitely stay here again.
This house is beautiful, it is right next to the pool in the community. We loved having our boat right in the water our entire stay. We have stayed in this community multiple times prior. This was one of the best houses we have stayed in. We did have a huge issue- the prior guests left 2 bags of fruit under the counter and it was not cleaned by the cleaning crew or property manager and the kitchen was infested with fruit flies our entire stay. Once we found them. We told the owner and property manager, the owner apologized and said the property manager would contact me. The property manager never did reach out to me- instead I had to send pics of the old rotten fruit. The property manager then sent me a text telling me the best way to catch gnats was to make up a bowl of vinegar, sugar and dish soap. I didnât think I should have to clean up these flies on my own and had to ask for them to come to the house and do something. I then had tell the manager to come and do more stuff. They sent pest control but that wasnât until Wednesday around 5pm- we had been in the house since Sunday. We purchased Zevo lights & sticky fly traps. The fly traps were covered with fruit flies by the end of our stay. We lost food due to the fruit flies, the owner told me he would reimburse us for that. We ended up having to go out to dinner and breakfast the 1st night and day because of these flies all in the kitchen. We didnât budget for those extra meals out so that was unfortunate
Although our week was cut short by hurricane Ian we enjoyed the days we were there. Kenneth communicated with us in getting us ready for the trip and even checked on us to make sure we had evacuated safety. Will come again when we plan another trip to the area
Just completed our 3rd stay at this house. It's a favorite!
Thank you to Mr. Smith for being so welcoming to our family.
We hope to be back again next Christmas.
We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning. The house was equipped with everything we needed. It was easy having a boat ramp and dock to tie our boat to. Our children enjoyed playing tennis and swimming in the pool. The house was in a great location so that we could visit the springs and nearby restaurants. I would highly recommend this vacation home to others.
We grew up in Maryland so are lovers of water, fishing and crabbing in the Chesapeake Bay, swimming along the beaches in Ocean City and enjoying the wildlife throughout the state. Kenny's career caused us to both spend over 20 years in Bermuda so again we were captivated by the water. So when Kenny retired and we saw this gorgeous but quaint waterfront opportunity, we couldn't resist owning and enjoying it.
We saw the resort in 2013 while visiting my sister in a nearby retirement community so we booked a vacation there for the following February, 2014. We enjoyed it so much that when we saw this house go up for sale, we settled on it before the end of the following month. We've only owned the house since March 2014 but we hope you enjoy it and the surrounding activities as much as our friends, family and we do.
