Cozy cottage with private Lake Superior beach in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula

Our cozy, lakeside cottage is perfect for up to 4, with 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. Enjoy the privacy of our beach and home, or get out and immerse yourself in the beauty and adventure our Great Lake and the nearby Porcupine Mountains have to offer.

The cottage:
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you may need to prepare a meal or cocktail. If cooking is your thing, you will enjoy the quality cookware, a collection of kitchen tools, and a gas grill. We provide K-cups, tea choices, and hot chocolate for your stay. There is a coffee grinder as well, if you prefer to bring your own coffee.

The living room faces the lake and offers amazing views. Cuddle up with a book, play a game, or watch a storm roll in over the lake.

There are 2 bedrooms (1 queen and 1 full bed) with quality memory foam mattresses and room darkening blinds. The larger bedroom has a second television.

There is one full bathroom with a tub and shower combination. Towels and hand soap are provided. We also provide 4 beach towels per stay and a washer and dryer.

The outdoor space:
There is plenty of parking and a good size yard. The star though, is the amazing beach, which is just steps from the door. You can walk for miles in both directions or just sit and soak up the sun. We provide lounge chairs and folding chairs for you to watch the sunset or enjoy a fire.

In the summer you can enjoy swimming or picking rocks, beach glass, or Yooperlites. We provide the UV flashlights you need to find these special rocks. You will also find beach toys, beach towels, chairs, and coolers. Everything you need to enjoy a day at the beach!

But summer isn’t the only option. The rest of the year is equally as beautiful, and very quiet. Most days, from September to May, you will have the beach and lake to yourself. Come for the spectacular colors in the fall or enjoy our winter wonderland.

The outdoor opportunities in the area are endless. We provide a variety of maps and guidebooks to help you make the most of your UP adventure. Whether you hike, ski, snowmobile, snowshoe, bike, or ATV...there are options within minutes.

Pure bliss

We came for our honeymoon and it was better than we could’ve imagined! Everything we needed was there, including a pasta dinner! The lake was stunning and the beach was even better! We loved looking for rocks!

We 4 women had enough room to all be comfortable. How nice is that? Did not realize you had a pull-out sofa now. Firewood, books, gift card, coffee selection, cleanliness, ALL appreciated. Excited for next visit!

Very clean property and well-stocked. I could have left alot of things at home! I appreciated the 3 ring binder with info on the cabin and the area. Nice sandy beach area. Our 10 y/o Grandson was QUITE enamored with the cabin. We were able to take a nice long walk to the right towards the Lighthouse w/out seeing any other people.

Great place!!

We had a wonderful trip to the UP to go cross country skiing. This VRBO was a perfect location to enjoy the Porkies and ski trails further north. The home was wonderful- cozy, clean, and well equipped. Perfect!

Amazing place to stay. Highly recommend! Best hosts we've ever had.

This property and hosts are amazing. Everything in the house was so well organized and thoughtful. Beautiful views of Lake Superior. The hosts also included so many extras. Things like a pasta dinner, lots of dry firewood, beach chairs, yooperlite flashlights and much more. We absolutely love this place and we wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else. Fantastic experience!

Amazing Stay

The cabin, grounds, and private drive were all amazing. The cabin was clean, well stocked, and even nicer than the pictures. The beach and views were exceptional, and there are unlimited activities nearby. We will absolutely be staying here again.

Superior Shoreline

Amazing place to stay, very happy to have found this hidden gem of a place. Clean, well stocked, and secluded location to relax, walk the shoreline, close to Ontonagon and convenient for travel to Porkies and waterfalls.

Clean and comfy!

Everything was perfect. The location right on the lake was amazing. The cabin was clean and well-stocked. Sunset views from the cabin were stunning. Owners are great. Highly recommend!

Perfect getaway on Lake Superior

The home was perfect in every way for us. Very thoughtful touches through out. We enjoyed a walk to the pier when we arrived & beautiful sunset on the night of our arrival. But also fully enjoyed experiencing Superior's wild side the next 2 days

Bliss at the Beach

This property has been recently updated and it is very cute! It is also very private. The best part is the beach...absolutely amazing!!!! The stress just melted away sitting in the adirondack chairs listening to the waves and looking at the stars. We wish we could have stayed forever. We will be back!

Hidden Gem

This cottage is so beautiful inside and welcoming. The access to the beach draws you outside. The set up to sit by a fire on the beach or relax in a lounge chair and watch the sunset is very well thought out. We enjoyed being outside no matter what the weather was.

Outstanding cottage on the Lake!

We loved everything about this property! We felt at home immediately and were impressed with how well stocked the cottage is. This is the first property we’ve stayed at that supplied kleenex! Thank you Lori! (Rob told us that you are responsible for all of the thoughtful additions and amenities.) The cottage seems to be recently updated all around. The kitchen is well stocked; they even provide a spaghetti meal for you! Our stay was quiet and peaceful. The cottage is steps from the Lake and an easy 15 minutes from the Porkies. We highly recommend a stay here!

Enjoyably Serene

I really wish I could have stayed for weeks at this cottage. The decor is thoughtfully put together and it feels restful from the moment you walk inside. The view and beach would be hard to surpass. Of course, the location is ideal to many UP favorite sites too numerous to mention. I will be back...

Perfect honeymoon location!

What a beautiful place! The location is perfect. The hosts have thought of everything you might need for a stay at the beach or for a cozy inside getaway. The place was super clean and completely remodeled. The screened outdoor area is great when you encounter those lovely UP flies. We can't wait to return, even though it is an 8 hour+ drive. Totally worrh it!

Best Vacation

This will be a new family tradition. They had everything you could think of. Breath taking view, amazing beach, the house was perfect. We couldnt of asked for a better stay. We will be back for a full week next year. We didnt want to leave. This is a hidden gem. Thank you so much for having us.

Perfect Sunsets

The home is in an ideal location. Right on Lake Superior and far enough from things that you feel private but close enough to necessities to be convenient. The home is super clean and well equipped. If I were coming to the area again, I would definitely stay. You can not beat the views, sunsets and beach. Stay here! You won’t be sorry!!

Perfect Family Vacation

This was the perfect spot for our family to spend five nights! The first two days we had perfect summer weather, we saw the northern lights the first night, found Yooperlites, and had a fire and roasted a lot of marshmallows. The second day we spent on the beach enjoying the weather because we knew rain was coming. Even with the last few days being a rainout, we still had plenty to do. And the skies cleared enough at night for us to find even more Yooperlites and other neat rocks! Even my teenage daughter, who is not easy to please, has asked to come back. I’d say that’s a win!! Everything was very neat, clean and organized. We had everything we needed and more. The beds were comfortable, the furniture was comfortable, everything just felt like home. I love being comfortable on vacation and I felt that here. Very highly recommend!!

My husband and I grew up in the UP and recently moved back to the area. We love living on the lake and are so happy to introduce others to this amazing area. We love to travel, eat, and spend time with our dog.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The location of our cottage is very private, but town is only a 5 minute drive. There are days when you will feel like you have the entire lake to yourself. You can walk for miles on the beach, take a swim, and enjoy a s’more by the fire.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Our little cottage sits directly on one of the best beaches you will find. The views and sunsets are spectacular. The location allows you to do as much or as little as you like.
