La Residence Il Pozzo est situé dans l'un des anciens palais bult le plus spectaculaire en 1878. Le principal centre historique de Sorrente est zone de circulation limitée, où il est possible de faire une promenade dans la petite rue caractéristique entre la plupart des magasins colorés. Récemment restructuré tous les appartements sont composés d'un salon avec cuisine et salle de bains, certaines Apts. disposent d'une terrasse. L'appartement est proche de la Villa Communal d'où vous pouvez prendre un ascenseur (ascenseur) et atteindre l'établissement de bains et le port afin d'embarquer sur les ferries confortables ou hydroglisseurs rapides et de rattraper son retard en seulement 20 minutes de l'île de Capri. Vous pouvez également accéder à Ischia, Amalfi, Positano et Naples. En seulement 5 minutes, à pied, il est possible de rejoindre la gare de la Circumvesuviana et prendre un train pour atteindre les fouilles de Pompéi ou Herculanum. La Résidence est une destination reccomended pour ceux qui veulent vivre l'atmosphère, le charme et les parfums typiques des anciennes ruelles de Sorrente, sans sacrifier les services d'une structure touristique de pointe et de l'indépendance d'un appartement. Excellent studio apartment in centre of Sorrento

The apartment is very well located in the centre of Sorrento, just 15 minutes walk from the train station, bus station and harbour. It is in a pedestrianised area and so it quiet at night, but also only 5 minutes from excellent restaurants, shops and the cathedral. The bed is comfortable and the small kitchen is equipped for basic cooking. There is a good shower in the bathroom with plenty of hot water. We stayed in Sorrento because it is a pleasant town and a convenient place to get boats to Capri, explore the Amalfi peninsular, Pompei and Versuvios.

Sorrento Vacation

Property as advertised but I have to be honest and state that the picture of the entrance hall to the foyer was obviously taken after it had a recent redecoration. It is in need of a refresh but it did not detract from our enjoyment. The apartment is clean but a little basic ‘though that is reflected in the price. The shower was good, plenty of hot water, bed was a little hard but comfy and clean and we slept well every night. The air con was also appreciated as was the fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and cooker. Location was brilliant - right in the centre of Sorrento. You exit the entrance foyer and you have restaurants to you left, right and right in front. Our host Massimo was always available if required but gave you all the privacy you wanted. Massimo left some coffee and tea as a welcome but salt and pepper pots would have been handier - we could not find small salt and pepper pots and as we preferred to have a light lunch or brunch indoors and eat out every evening it would have been good. I know that if we had asked Massimo he would have sorted it out for us but we kind of got used to it. Brilliant stay and maybe a week would have been sufficient as we did not want to do all the excursions. Would I recommend Sorrento - Yes Would I recommend the apartment - Yes as long as you accept that it is not plush. It is clean, very functional and in a brilliant location. Hope that helps anyone trying to decide. If anyone wants more specific information about the apartment or Sorrento ping me an email. Good luck😀

Perfect place to stay on Sorrento

My husband, grandson and I spent 3 nights at Il Pozzo and highly recommend it to others who are seeking comfortable lodging in the center of Sorrento at a reasonable price. Our studio had a lovely patio that we really enjoyed in the morning sipping coffee surrounded by lovely flowering plants and the sounds of merchants setting up for the day and having a glass of wine at sunset. While it is in the middle of the historic center, the apartment provides privacy and quiet after a busy day of sightseeing. Owner Massimo is a fantastic host. He met our taxi at the foot of the street (limited traffic area) and helped us with our bags...also walked us to a waiting taxi when we left. He was a wealth of information and suggestions that made our stay in Sorrento very special.

Spent 2 weeks at the Residence

We enjoyed our stay at Residence Il Pozzo. Massimo and Teresa were welcoming hosts. The apartments are as pictured. The best thing about the apartment was it was the most cost effective way to stay for an extended period. It was a great way to relax.

PERFECT!!!

This apartment is the place to stay! It was immaculate and perfectly located. We loved to come home to this apartment after a day of sightseeing. Massimo and Teresa are the best! They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Read all of the reviews and you will see this is the right place to stay.

Location, Location, Location

Enjoyed our five night stay in one of these apartments. Found the location to be ideal--able to walk everywhere, nearby restaurants, shopping, etc. Massimo and Teresa were always available to answer our questions. Our apartment was very modern, but in a beautiful old building with lots of history. Ask which pictures apply to the specific apartment you are renting. Ours included a spiral staircase to the bedroom, which was fine for us, but might not be for everyone.

Great Location, perfect stay.

We really enjoyed our stay in the clean, well equipped studio apartment with patio. The location is excellent, in the heart of the old town and within walking distance of all the sights. Massimo was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is great value and we would definitely stay there again.

Ideal Apartment in Sorrento

We staayed in this apartment for 2 weeks at the end of July and it was an ideal base for exploring the area. Sorrento is an easy place to get to and access to major sites and attractions in the area are all good. Sorrento itself is a lovely place to stay with its own attractions and this apartment is in a perfect location in the middle of the old town. You can get to the train and bus station, and the ferry terminal really easlly. Shops are also good for buying provisions. The apartment we stayed in had a balcony/terrace and faced the garden at the back, so it was quiet. The owners were very helpful and friendly. It would be useful to be able to book individual rooms rather than be offered a room and not know which one it is. Having said that, we had all we needed to make our own meals, the flat was well equipped. I'd recommend this apartment complex for your stay, especially if a flat with a balcony/terrace is available.

A wonderful month at Il Pozzo !

My husband and I just returned from 6 weeks in Europe, 4 of which were spent in the heavenly town of Sorrento, at Residence Il Pozzo. We have nothing but the highest praise for the location, cleanliness, and warm hospitality of Teresa and Massimo, along with their adorable children! They were available to us with any and every request and helped guarantee our vacation was perfect. Everything we needed was available, even though we managed to NOT do much cooking, because sooo many fantastic restaurants were footsteps away. We were right in the center of this town and everything was as beautiful as when we were in the area 12 years ago. We HIGHLY recommend RESIDENCE IL POZZO ! Thank you, Judy & Bill

Highly recommended

The apartment is an efficiency, hence very compact. We spent most of our time in the area, out and about so the size wasn't a problem for us. It has a very nice lanai, too bad the oranges weren't ripe while we were there. The location is excellent, on a small street, close to the main piazza. Massimo is a wonderful host. His suggestions for dining and foods purchase were great. Ask him where to get the best pizza and which tomatoes and Mozzarella for Caprese salad. We spent four nights in Sorrento and when we return we'll try to reserve an apartment that Massimo manages. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately dissapointing.

My sister and I arrived at Il Pozzo in October. I must say that from everything I had heard about Sorrento, I was excited to explore the area. Sorrento is BEAUTIFUL and I would not hesitate to go back there for a second, however I would stay elsewhere. Upon our arrival, we were met my Massimo, whom I can honestly say is one of the nicest men I met in Italy. He explained how things in the flat worked, where the closest grocery store was, and how to get around. The flat is not how it is portrayed on VRBO. The pictures that you see are from multiple suites. The room we had, there was no terrace, and there was only one bed and a sofabed. The shower in the suite was small, and difficult to take showers in. There was also quite a bit of noise in the morning and evening from the streets below. Being city girls though, it wasn't too bad - but we had less noise at our flat in Rome across the street from the Colosseum. Later on the night of our arrival, my sister and I realized that we needed to cut our stay short by one night. I immediately emailed Teresa and let her know asking if there was a problem with this. She said that was fine, and I asked if I was to be charged a cancellation fee. I received no response (the whole time we were there) in regards to cancellation fees. Upon our checkout, Massimo once again arrived and explained that I was to be charged the WHOLE amount for the night. He referred to the cancellation policy which stated: "There will be no cancellation charge if a booking is cancelled before 00:00 hotel local time 15 days before your date of arrival. If the booking is cancelled later, or in the case of a no-show, the first night will be charged." As you can see, nothing is mentioned about once you arrive. I have paid the first night... So I should be able to cancel... right? No. I let it go, as we needed to catch a ferry, but emailed Teresa upon my arrival back home. She was quite condescending, saying that since we didn't have any other complaints about the residence, she was unable to refund the whole stay. I explained that I wasn't requesting a full refund, only for the one night did I think we were unfairly charged, but she insisted and sent a voucher for one free night's stay in the next year. The lack of communication by Teresa before we left the flat, the incorrectly worded cancellation policy, the fact that the flat was not as advertised, and the small shower really soured our stay in Sorrento, and I would NOT stay here again.

Point 1: The cancellation policies are correctly indicated on VRBO. For the stay we apply always a policy of minimum stay of 3 nights. In this case, the customer has booking for 3 nights, paid at the arrival the total amount and for personal reasons was leave one day before. Point 2: As indicated on VRBO, we offer different apartments and someone with terrace, like correctly indicated on the voucher sent to the customer the apartment offered was a studio apartment, without terrace, with double bedroom and double sofa bed (not only bed and sofa bed as wrongly indicated)of 35 square meters, kitchenette and bathroom with standard shower in accordance with the Italian and European Standard references. Perfect!

We stayed in this lovely small apartment for 5 nights. Location was perfect--in the heart of Sorrento. The apartment was very clean, Massimo and Teresa were both very nice and accommodating. We had breakfast outside on the little patio every morning. We were more than happy with this apartment and would recommend to anyone.

Excellent Location in Resort Town

My wife and I stayed at the small but very comfortable loft apartment for six nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Dealing with Teresa via email was always pleasant and she was very helpful. Upon arrival we were greated by Massimo, Teresa's husband, who was extremely friendly and he provided us with lots of information about Sorrento. The location of the apartment was excellent. Outside our door was the hustle and bustle of the city and access to the beach area was a short 5-10 minute walk. The main square was only a short 5-10 minute away as well. The apartment was quiet, very charming and we felt like we had found a home away from home. Though the kitchen was small (small fridge and tiny freezer, two gas burners, a microwave) we were able to prepare simple meals and we enjoyed eating on the terrace. The AC was greatly appreciated. While staying here we felt like a local and would reccommend staying here over a crowded hotel. Sorrento is the perfect home base for exploring Capri, Almafi Coast and Naples and we always looked forward to coming back to the apartment after a day of exploring. Amazing City and Wonderful Hospitality

Wow, Sorrento was definitely our favorite part of our vacation to Italy! We were lucky to be the first people to stay in this home right after it was renovated and it was beautiful! Everything was neat and brand new and the kitchen was full of cooking supplies, which definitely helped us. Massimo and Teresa were great hosts and if we ever visit Italy again, we will definitely visit Sorrento and stay here. I would recommend this house for anyone visiting Sorrento, everything is walkable distance. There were delicious restaurants, great shopping spots, and a beautiful beach! Sorrento is stunning!!!
