If you are looking for a secluded cabin that is close to an adorable town then we have it! Bearcat Cabin is around 15 min from Burnsville Historic Town Square and offers peace and quiet with beautiful views. It is close enough to do a day trip to Asheville or nearby towns if you're looking to go exploring. Burnsville has a small town vibe with delicious restaurants, shopping, and lots to do if you are looking to spend time outdoors.
Bearcat Cabin offers up a cozy 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with the main bedroom featuring an en suite full bathroom. Bearcat is the place to go if you are in search of a quiet rustic place to play a chess game with a partner, family game or movie night or a secluded place to work remotely. At Bearcat we offer fiber internet so you are still connected to the world while feeling a million miles away. At night, sit on the expansive deck and watch the stars come out over the mountain line or watch the clouds roll over.
As we are greatly privileged to be secluded and have beautiful mountain views along with that comes a fairly steep driveway. We do recommend a 4x4 if possible during the fall and winter months. While it is possible to make it up in a sedan just remember to go slow and steady as the driveway is partial paved and partial gravel.
At Bearcat we are proud to feature goods provided by local Burnsville businesses. You will find an array of artwork sourced from antique shops in the area. Other items you can look forward to are delicious teas from Tulsi Teas for all seasons, some books from our local bookshop Plott Hound Books as well as handsoap, shampoo and conditioner provided by our local store the FillMore which specializes in low waste packaging and eco friendly goods.

Awesome cabin

We recently stayed at Bearcat cabin. The places is gorgeous. It has the best views of the mountain and Cris the owner is very kind and helpful. We loved the place.

Very nice, secluded cabin

This is one of the very best houses we have ever rented. We stayed on our anniversary to check out Burnsville and a trip to Mount Mitchell. Great view of the mountain in front of the house. House was very clean, fully furnished and kitchen is very nice. After using the Fillmore products in the house, we stopped by their store and picked up some for home. My wife simply loved them. I would definitely recommend the house and would stay again.

Beautiful and Cozy Cabin

Our stay was absolutely amazing. Cabin is so cozy and comfy, we wished we could’ve spent more than 3 nights. Cabin is equipped with pretty much everything you could possibly need. We cooked our thanksgiving dinner here, and were able to eat with the mountain view. The view is stunning in the morning especially getting to have that hot cup of coffee or tea on the wraparound porch, so peaceful. My 7 month old daughter loved looking at the view and grabbing the leaves as they were falling from the trees.

Wonderful cabin in the woods

We enjoyed our time as a family and were able to disconnect from our laptops for the weekend and just relax. The cabin was very clean and decorated nicely, beds were super comfy and we had everything we needed. The host was a wonderful communicator and even shared some things that were close by happening this weekend. We had a 4 wheel drive truck which I would recommend due to the steep driveway especially in winter weather. I would highly recommend!!

An amazing gem

This cabin is amazing. It’s cozy for two and could easily sleep four with room to spare. The location is amazing and the wildlife around the area is unreal. The view of the mountains is stunning as well. Like it says in the booking the driveway is steep but we had no issues getting in and out. The owners were quick to respond and there with concerns or needs which we didn’t have because everything was perfect when we arrived.

Beautiful property

Very clean, really pretty! Would stay again. Pros: amount of space, cleanliness, amenities, local soaps and bath products were a nice touch, quick owner communication, the mountain view. Cons: check-in process lacking a couple details resulting in the property manager needing to come out and explain a bit better before we could get in. The only things we were wishing we had were a hairdryer, and an outdoor grill or fire pit (but the kitchen was beautiful and well-stocked, so we were quite happy.) Chris was great to communicate with. A wonderful place to stay. The view was beautiful!

Peaceful mountain retreat

We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin. The location was very secluded and quiet under the stars. Beautiful Mountain views offered a peaceful feeling and one with nature. The cabin was decorated wonderfully. I love the rustic modern feeling. Our favorites about the cabin were the views, the comfy home feeling, the master bedroom bed was super comfy, and we had all the necessities that are needed while on vacation. The road up the mountain can be a little tricky so be cautious especially if it’s raining and dark. All in all, We loved it and hope to come back next year. Thank you for allowing us to share your happy place for the weekend.
