The space
Are you ready for an much needed getaway with family, friends, and/or that special someone? THE HAPPY HERON is the Beach Cottage for you! It offers the peaceful escape of relaxing BEACH SIDE on the GULF COAST while being less than a mile from all the shops and eateries in town. It comfortably sleeps 6 people, has a PRIVATE BEACH PATH exclusively for Blue Heron Cottages (there are only 9) mere steps from the sand. Enjoy your own private PATIO with table, chairs, and charcoal grill, a peaceful resort POOL, and so much more!


The Space
THE HAPPY HERON is a tranquil, uniquely styled, spacious cottage in the most prime location! It is one of the only Blue Heron Cottages with its own WASHER & DRYER! This welcoming cottage offers that sea breeze you’ve been craving. Couples, friends, and families alike can take advantage of morning beach walks, sunset strolls, surf shop finds, dinner on the town, followed by a stop at the ice cream shop. Think of it as beach on one side, town on the other, and you’re right in the middle!

As you take your first step onto the patio of the first light blue cottage on the right [Cottage #9 on “Blue Heron Row”], you’ll be greeted by the charming white fence, as well as a table with two chairs for outdoor dining, and 2 BRAND NEW Adirondack chairs for morning coffee, evening spirits, or midday reading.

As you enter the RANCH STYLE single-floor cottage, you will be welcomed by our signature BLUE HERON artwork to the left sitting above a topical coral dresser. You’ll also see the mid-century modern DESK right below the FLAT SCREEN TV. Then to the right is the living room, which has plenty of space for the whole crew to relax and enjoy each other’s company or watch their favorite show. There’s a couch that pulls out into a full SLEEPER SOFA, plus two modern armchairs and coffee tables.

The open concept kitchen has sitting for 4 people at the bar. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances, dishes, and amenities needed to make any type of meal. It also offers options for either drip or Keurig coffee.

The cottage has ideal sleeping quarters with 2 bedrooms, 1 full-sized sleeper sofa, and 1 full bathroom. To the left of the bathroom you have the TEAL ROOM, which is the Master Bedroom with a king-sized bed, closet, flat screen TV, and WASHER DRYER.

To the left of the Master bedroom you will come across the CORAL ROOM, which has a queen-sized bed, and a closet with a dresser & makeup station. Guests love the VR Bus artwork in this room!

THE HAPPY HERON can easily become your Beach Cottage OFFICE and/or your CLASSROOM on the Gulf! The cottage is equipped with Cable, Internet, and WiFi. There is plenty of space for the whole family to spread out their work on the desk in the foyer and/or the peninsula in the kitchen. Get away from the distractions of your own house and come focus in the peaceful serenity you will find AT THE HAPPY HERON!

LOCATION! LOCATION!! LOCATION!!! You truly cannot beat this fantastic location. The cottage is located in the charming town of Indian Rocks Beach, less than a mile away from marvelous attractions.

Dining:
Indian Rocks Beach offers a delightful dining scene that is both diverse and delectable. Whether you're craving fresh seafood caught just off the coast, international cuisines like Italian and Mexican, or classic American fare, there's a seaside eatery ready to tantalize your taste buds. Enjoy your meal with a backdrop of stunning sunsets, and listen to the gentle waves as local musicians serenade diners.

Shopping:
Strolling through the heart of Indian Rocks Beach, shoppers will discover a range of unique boutiques, art galleries, and coastal-inspired stores. From beachwear to handcrafted souvenirs, IRB provides a shopping experience that’s far from generic. It’s the perfect place to pick up a memento of your trip or a gift infused with Florida's sun-kissed charm.

Beyond its sandy shores, Indian Rocks Beach boasts attractions for every type of visitor. For those with a sweet tooth, the local ice cream parlors offer a cool respite with flavors reminiscent of summer year-round (Kooky Coconut is a guest favorite! They have delicious tacos & Cubans, too).

History enthusiasts will appreciate the Indian Rocks Historical Museum, which provides a window into the area's rich past. And for families, parks dotting the coastline offer playgrounds and green spaces for picnics, making IRB a diverse destination for all ages.

If you provide us with an email address, we will send you a digital copy of the THE HAPPY HERON GUEST GUIDE prior to your stay.

There will also be a hard copy of the GUEST GUIDE at the cottage for you to enjoy and reference during your stay.

The GUEST GUIDE will provide you with all the cottage’s information, emergency numbers, nearby shopping, and recommendations for dinning, entertainment, & other adventures!

Pets:
We currently welcome 1 dog at 35 pounds or less at full maturity. Here are the enforced Association Guidelines for breeds:

"A renter or guest may keep no more than one pet in the unit at any time, which must weigh a maximum of thirty-five (35) pounds at maturity. However, no Pit Bull, Bull Terrier, Doberman Pinscher, Chow Chow, Rottweiler, Akita, Boxer, Bullmastiff, Giant Schnauzer, Mastiff, Ovtcharka, Presa Canario, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Neapolitan Mastiff, Wolf or Wolf Hybrid, or German Shepherds, or mixes of any of the aforementioned breeds."
