The house was very clean and decorated nicely. Guests are only provided one roll of toilet paper, one roll of paper towels, one packet of dish washer powder. This is considered a âstarter packet,â however even hotels provide more. This was disappointing. The beds seem smaller than Queen size. You cannot access the screened in porch on the bottom and because of that, it would be nice if there was patio furniture or at least a few chairs so guests can enjoy the covered patio below because the upstairs deck is in full sun all afternoon with no shade.
We stayed at this property for a week in early June, 2025. It was as advertised in the listing! Very clean, easy check-in, and many amenities in the development. It was also very close to a beach access (0.20 miles per my Apple Watch)âwhich was a pleasant surprise! Also, there was a pool specifically for our development, so not crowded, and another beach access with restrooms within 0.35 miles (again per my Apple Watch). The area was quiet and the neighbors we spoke to were very kind. The view out the kitchen/living room area was another water viewâa pondâand we sat out on the deck every morning to drink our caffeine and watch the pond fountain. We were very satisfied with our stay and the amenitiesâthe Starbucks for meâand the gym and walking paths for my kids!
Good trip but the weather did not cooperate - Teed off in 36 degree weather - ended my trip early due to burst pipe at home in MD - definitely no fishing in that weather - where are the global warming people now lol
We've stayed at Litchfield By The Sea several times and this was our first stay in Heron Marsh. This is a comfortable unit and was great for our small family. What we really loved about the unit was the location for easy beach access. While this is not an ocean front location, this unit is directly across from the beach access path for quick access. This was wonderful for our morning and afternoon beach-front walks. The balcony overlooking the lake was lovely and the furniture was comfortable for dining outside. There is not access to the lower level porch or furniture. Beds were comfortable and one of the upstairs mattresses is quite firm. A few things to note for future renters on items you may want to bring with you as the unit did not provide: tissues, laundry detergent, dish soap, kitchen hand soap, disinfectant/cleaner for countertop/sinks, and any spices, and foil. The unit also does not offer chairs or an umbrella for the beach (noting this as some do).
Nice bright condo with a great roomy deck and nice view of a large pond. The beds and living room/dining room furniture were comfortable. This is one of the lesser stocked rentals I've had in LBTS (and I have rented in LBTS for decades). The kitchen didn't have a lot of basic things such as measuring spoons, plastic wrap/foil, or wine bottle stoppers that I've found in other LBTS rentals. The bedroom closets had no hangers. We had a need for a broom and an iron, and the guest book indicated they were in the supply closet in the 1st floor bedroom. However, the closet was locked so we could not access them. The smoke detector in the 1st floor bedroom went off each time a hair dryer was on in the bathroom :-(.
My biggest issue is not related to the condo, but to the rental agency. This rental appears to be managed by a corporation and they subjected me to repeated attempts to receive "gifts" in exchange for a meeting (e.g., time share sales). During check-in after a long travel day, someone took us aside to pitch the 'gifts' and said our husbands had to be present at a brief meeting to be eligible. We told him then that this was a weekend with just ladies--no husbands. During the trip I received repeated calls about my husband and I not claiming our "gifts" yet. One encounter should have been enough to document we were not eligible with their terms. I won't rent from this corporation again. I've never experienced time share purchase pressure with VRBO, and it's inappropriate.
