Chercher le paradis? La voici au El Matador! Doit être le plus recherché des lieux de villégiature en famille sur la côte d'Émeraude. Un condominium isolé niché entre les belles dunes de sable blanc et les eaux émeraudes scintillantes du golfe du Mexique.

El Matador est vraiment une station balnéaire. À seulement trois kilomètres du boulevard Santa Rosa, au bout de l’île, vous nous trouverez, isolés mais à quelques minutes seulement de toutes les commodités offertes par Destin et Fort Walton Beach. Seulement six miles sur l'autoroute. 98, vous pouvez profiter de Destin - «Le village de pêcheurs le plus chanceux au monde» - organisez une excursion privée ou emmenez les enfants dans un bateau de groupe et attrapez un dîner. Pendant votre séjour à Destin, appréciez les restaurants raffinés, les boutiques et le golf sur certains des meilleurs terrains de golf de la Panhandle of Florida. Difficile de croire que vous pourriez avoir besoin d’une journée de congé de la plage, mais si vous emmenez votre famille au parc aquatique Big Kahunas, dans le centre du vieux Destin. Bien plus qu’un parc aquatique, c’est une journée de plaisir!

De retour au El Matador, profitez des grandes pelouses entre nos bâtiments, propices au divertissement et aux jeux en famille. Avec deux piscines, son bain à remous et son sauna, et des saunas adaptés à vos muscles fatigués après une partie de tennis sur l'un de nos courts ou dans notre centre de remise en forme. Nous sommes situés à l'extrémité de l'île d'Okaloosa, une petite île-barrière située entre Fort Walton Beach et Destin. Cette communauté fermée avec 13 km de plages non aménagées à l'ouest ne manquera pas de vous faire rêver.

First Time was a Great Time!!

The unit was clean, updated, beds were comfortable and all the essentials were provided to get you started. We own an Airbnb in our city so I look with a critical eye and found the unit exceptionally well done. The grounds were immaculate. Pools very clean. But the star of the show is the view—every window. The pictures do not do it justice!! Absolutely the best!! Cannot wait to come back!!!

Little piece of heaven

Our stay here was great! It was clean, roomy, had enough amenities such as extra pillows and blankets. But the view from the balcony & even inside the living room was worth it all! Definitely will be back!

Excellent views…location, location, location!

Our second time staying in 459 and there will for sure be a third! Could not be happier with how clean and well maintained this condo is. The views are breathtaking! Quiet beach being on the end. See you next year 459!!

We have used Alicia Hollis as our booking agent from our first trip down. The folks at her office have been helpful and responded to any needs we may have had over the years. The condo is clean and well appointed. The owners update the unit as needed and we look forward to our week away from snow each year!

Love the area and the unit!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The unit had the most amazing views from multiple angles. It is well worth the extra $ for the corner units. We arrived early and the unit was not yet ready, but the property managers called me as soon as it was (and still way early). We have been to El Matador over the winter, which is also nice, but late August is wonderful too - beach set up available, low crowds, not a party atmosphere, since most kids are back to school. Being basically at the end of the road gives a serene quality which was much needed for me. We would definitely return.

Great Experience

We enjoyed our stay at El Matador very much! The condo was even more comfortable and well supplied than we had anticipated. Very clean and fresh! Beautiful view from the Corner unit. We have already made a plan to come back to this same unit next summer!

Relax and Enjoy!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the first time we rented through Hollis and we were very pleased with our stay. We would definitely use them again. Chris Ault was our contact and went out of her way to make sure our needs were met. Everyone in the Hollis office was friendly and reminded me of how customer service used to be. The unit stayed in still needs some updating, but the location was fabulous! If there were a washer and dryer in the unit, it would have been perfect. Our thanks to the owners for sharing their condo with us. We would definitely stay there again.

Too Much Building Maintenance

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Normally, we enjoy our January spent at the El Matador in Fort Walton Beach. But this year, major work was being done on the concrete walkways on each floor of our building. The noise and dust were horrible. No mention of this work was mentioned to us prior to arrival. No offer of moving to another building due to the noise (beginning at 8:30 am) and inconvenience. I understand that major projects need to be done doing the winter months in order not to interfere with summer weekly rentals, but some consideration should also be given to winter rentals also.

Nice but not the cleanest

Our unit was nice, we had an amazing view! The elevators were a little scary. While doing maintenance one day, they had a generator parked right outside the elevators with only one small orange cone. Very unsafe. The furniture in our unit was outdated but comfy. We didn’t like how far down the island we were. We prefer to be closer to the other end and didn’t realize it was sooooo far. But that’s nothing bad about the unit itself. If the unit had some updating done, it would have been perfect (minus the long drive down the island).

GREAT VIEWS!

The condo was clean, but had a musty smell upon entering. Wasn’t terrible but definitely noticeable. Condo view was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS, but the actual condo needs updating! AC worked fabulous! No washer and dryer. Definitely bring your own pillows! Linens for couch bed were subpar. The location of room couldn’t be beat, but interior lacked any style and comfort.

Needs updated

The room was very dirty and had a musty smell. The service panel was missing on the breaker box and had exposed wires. It really needs updating the hot water doesn't last very long so don't waste time in the shower.

Guest bed mattress sunk in the middle when you slept and the toilets were very low to the floor and towel racks were loose. Had to go buy batteries as the remotes didn't have any batteries in them. We will come back to stay at El Matador but will look for a more updated unit.

The buildings themselves are a little dated, but it was great since it wasn't crowded because of the size of the property. The gate access is nice too, so it was easy to find parking.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Love the location of the unit. TV's are modern and allow you to use your own passwords for special apps, i.e. Netflix. Dust is a problem. Both my wife and I developed hacking coughs during our stay. Friends staying in other units stated they had no dust issues. I checked the furnace filter and it seemed clean.
