Kitchen: Fully equipped to enjoy cooking meals like you would at home: granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, coffee maker (12 cup & single mug, no Keurig), and dishwasher. The back deck also features a 3-burner propane grill. (Propane provided.)

Hi-Speed Wi-Fi provided. Smart televisions in the living room and upstairs play room. Washer and dryer. Linens & towels, central air conditioning/heat. Although, in nice weather, we recommend opening all the windows and letting the mountain breeze in. It can be lovely at night.

Teddy’s Mountain Getaway is built on a steep slope, which provides lovely views but can make parking a bit intimidating. THE DRIVEWAY IS STEEP. You can park at the top and walk a short, steep distance down or park in the driveway. The driveway has limited turn around space. We either back down or back out.

4-wheel/all-wheel drive is necessary in winter-related inclement weather. Do NOT attempt to drive in the snow without 4-wheel/all-wheel drive. I promise that on these steep roads, it will not work.

A separate apartment is downstairs. It has its own entrance/exit. They have their own deck area and we ask that space be reserved for them.

100% POSITIVE EXPERIENCE

Great overall experience: safe neighborhood, attractive and comfortable furnishings, spotlessly clean, blissfully private and quiet. The view of the mountains from the kitchen and deck is AMAZING. Lots of thoughtful touches to make your stay pleasant. We very much enjoyed our two-night stay and hope to come back again soon.

Repeat visitor - another wonderful stay!

This was our second time at this rental (visiting family nearby). I highly recommend this place. You will be blown away by the beautiful views from the kitchen, deck and also from upstairs. Very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood feels super safe. We had a couple of young child visitors, but it seems to be a great place to bring older kids as well. We were here mostly to visit family in Candler, but it would be a perfect place to stay for a trip to the mountains or to visit Asheville. We look forward to staying here again soon.

Perfect Place

Teddy's getaway is the best! You have everything, extra beds, super clean and pet friendly. the view is impressive. We made s’mores in the fire pit and enjoyed board games. We loved the location of the house, you have Downtown close by, Biltmore is also close to the house. We are grateful to Carrie for her quick response and kindness. If you are looking for a quiet place Teddy’s getaway is your place!!

Very peaceful and very safe spot

We stayed at this house and enjoyed the great views and felt very safe with our family. The owner was very much looking out for our well being and we truly appreciate that. Its a mountain house and to have views as this dont expect flat hill s because that doesn't exist! The driveway can be intimidating for some but we have been on múltiple mountain houses and we know mountains are not flat. Overall great house,great spot and great hosts. Thank you!

My stay was amazing!

I was looking for a place to get away to that had a beautiful view, and this was exactly what I needed! The house is clean, quiet, and spacious. It sits on a mountain and has a deck that overlooks some awesome scenery. The host is very kind and responsive, and the house is stocked with activities for all ages (cards, board games, chalk, Wii). If you are looking to explore Asheville, places such as downtown Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway and more are very accessible. Overall, this place had everything I needed. It was a great place to stay and I will be returning if I am ever back in Asheville!

Welcome to our home! Mike & Carrie are Teddy’s parents. We decided to live in our RV to travel and work full-time on the road. We love Asheville, but cannot wait to experience the rest of the world. Carrie is a traveling ultrasound tech and Mike is a music composer. We are also hikers and backpackers who are always up for exploring new trails and discovering hidden gems. Some of the best memories are made while sharing good food and great company with friends (bonus points if we are playing board games). We cannot wait to see where our adventures take us next!
Your property manager is Leigh. She works locally and is also Carrie’s sister. She lives in the apartment below our home. It is doubtful you will run into her, but if you do, don’t be afraid to say hi.

We hope you have a stress-free and wonderful stay at our home.
