Gentility in New Orleans

The property location was excellent and lived up to everything promised. The draw backs were that all of the mattresses are in need of replacement my friends stayed in the master bedroom, which they described the mattress as firm, but felt like sleeping on cardboard. I stayed in the middle bedroom, and the mattress was like sinking into a down pillow. My daughter stayed in the third bedroom, in which I tested the bed, but wasn't overly impressed either way... the shower head in the main bathroom had a leak, and I chose to take a bath for the rest of my stay. The last thing was the water temperature itself; you went from scalding hot to tepid, there didn't seem to be an in between. This was my first time time using vrbo, and I haven't decided whether I will use it again. It's obviously a great way to go if you have more members in your party, and if you want some degree of privacy. All that being said, I would choose to stay at this property again.

Amazing home

This was such a beautiful home! Close to all the action but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. A safe place for the kids and just an overall wonderful experience. We hope to stay here again next time we visit.

Great Location, property needs a little TLC

House is in a fantastic location, super easy to get to pretty much anywhere in the city within 20 minutes. Even with the traffic and crowds from Taylor Swift we left the Superdome and were at the house in about a half hour. The beds are comfortable, and there's plenty of space. There are a couple good restaurants on the same block as well as a gas station/convenience store. That said the house needs some freshening up. It's not dirty just worn and could use a coat of paint on the interior. Some nightstands in the bedrooms and end tables in the living room would go a long way to make it more friendly. We didn't have any issues big enough to reach out to the host and I would book it again if we were going back to New Orleans.

This house was wonderful my son was killed and I needed a place for me and my other kids so we could put my baby to rest and it was great space for all of us and we had a great time the place was a big space.

Nice house . Great price. Little things need to be addressed ie. ... patches on ceiling, lack of hand soap, unmowed lawn...these did NOT hinder our stay. Really happy with our stay just trying to make your property better.

Great location and accommodations!

Location was 10 min from everything and far enough away from downtown area to enjoy. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Beds were comfortable. Many upgraded features and appliances. Showers/tubs clean, good pressure and hot water. Pictures are accurate of property. Kitchen has cookware. Host was helpful and check in very easy. Would definitely recommend this rental and our family will be back for sure!

Needs repair

Our communication with owner was fair. This house is ran down a bit. The roof leaks, floor was nasty, dirty dishes in cupboards,dirty linens on one of the beds, food and what looked like boogers on the walls.There are no dish cloths or dish towels. Not enough flatware for 8 people (only 4). Also, if there was a fire you would die. The back porch has a locked gate around it and all windows have rod iron bars on them. There also seems to be someone living in the shed in back yard.

Spacious, enough beds, decent location, felt secure and safe, however...very dirty...

The cleanliness was VERY lacking. The floors were filthy; I couldn't stand to walk around barefoot and my kids are kids so they ran around barefoot for 2 days. Their feet were so brown and dirty. So many things were in disrepair. The home is meant to sleep many people, which is nice, but the kitchen table has only 4 chairs to sit in. Not very practical. If the home was clean this would be a ok place to stay! But personally, I would have rather crammed my kids into a hotel room for a similar price. At least the floors would have been cleaner in a hotel. I wish the reviews for this place had been more honest because I would not have chosen to stay here with kids had I known.

Great NOLA House!

Loved this house and it's location! 5 of us stayed over mardi gras weekend, had more than enough space and were able to get back to it easily out of the crowds and partying. Had everything we needed, plus extras like pillows, blankets, plenty of towels and dishes, etc. Host was very communicative and nice. House was clean. Would totally stay there again.

Served it's purpose

The home was large enough for our group so it served it's purpose as far as sleeping and showers. Although the shower in the main bedroom took a long time to warm up and wouldn't get very hot at all. We didn't cook meals so can't speak to the kitchen and appliances. It rained really hard our last night there and there was a major leak in the roof. Water was coming into the house through the ceiling and walls in the living room. Before I left I noticed a large section of shingles missing from backside of the roof. It's possible the owner didn't know about this before. I took pictures and sent them to the host but never got a response. Reported to VRBO so hopefully it gets fixed. Home needs some TLC that's why it gets three stars from me.
