Affectionately nicknamed Swimmin’ Hole 2, this 2BR/1.5BA getaway presents 150’ of frontage on beautiful Lake Moultrie. Prepare delicious dishes in the convenient full kitchen or head to the backyard for an afternoon barbecue. One of only five properties in the area, you’ll enjoy a tranquil setting with an on-site boat dock and launch. Take the provided kayaks out for adventure, or simply kick back to enjoy lakefront sunrises and sunsets!

Find plenty of plush seating in the open living area. A twin-over-twin bunk bed with a twin trundle creates flexible sleeping space. Indulge your inner chef in the sparkling full kitchen, configured with helpful extras like a blender. When dinner is served, the dining table is perfect for family-style meals.

This home accommodates seven guests between two suites and the living area’s twin-over-twin bunk bed with a twin trundle. Sleep soundly in the primary suite, detailed with a king bed and direct outdoor access. Also accessible from the hallway, the en-suite bathroom holds a tub/shower combination. The guest suite includes a queen bed and an en-suite half bath.

Unwind on the lakeside patio or the covered back porch. Enjoy a game of cornhole while burgers sizzle on the gas grill. A wood-burning firepit adds nightime ambience.

Tie your boat up to the shared dock (20’ x 18’). The access point for larger boats is located next door, and smaller boats and jet skis can launch from the on-property ramp. Provided lake amenities include kayaks, and fishing poles. (Please note nothing can be tied to the dock overnight.)

Your lakefront locale is only a mile from a handful of Bonneau Beach restaurants. Take a day trip to historic Charleston, home to world-class eateries, galleries, and nightlife. The gorgeous Isle of Palms Beach is also an easy drive.

Complimentary WiFi, a private washer/dryer, beach umbrella, and chairs are provided in the rental.
Kid-friendly extras including a Pack ‘n Play, a booster seat, toys, books, and a high chair are available upon request.
A starter set of firewood for the firepit is provided.
The fireplace is not operational.
Parking is available for seven vehicles, including room for boat and trailer parking (if you bring fewer vehicles).
A long-term tenant occupies another cottage on the property.
The dock is shared with the long-term tenant, as well as the homeowner.
This property is managed by Vacasa South Carolina LLC.

This Vacasa Guestworks vacation rental is operated and managed locally by an independent host.
Prior to your arrival, you will receive local host contact information, who will manage your guest reservation. Your local host will provide in-stay support, secure entry, and arrange pre- and post-stay housekeeping services.
If you need anything during your stay, the home’s independent local host is ready to help 24/7! Guestworks is a service offering of Vacasa that allows homeowners to smoothly and efficiently manage their own properties.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 7 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Convenient, well located, beautiful, quiet and peaceful. Neighbors are very friendly and helpful. Over all a fantastic space and great fishing. Owner is the greatest person I have ever met he goes out of his way to make sure you enjoy your stay.

Almost a rain-out

Tropical Storm Debbie really put a damper on our stay by dumping a lot of rain and making the lake too rough to kayak or fish most of the time, so we weren't able to take advantage of all the amenities available. Even so, the size of the property is impressive and the house has plenty of space for our family of four. The weather not withstanding, this would be a great place to unwind and relax for folks who enjoy being on the water. Post-thunderstorm rainbows and sunrise/sunset viewing is amazing. Host lives nearby and is very responsive.

Relaxing

We enjoyed our stay on Lake Moultrie. The house exceeded our expectations. Beautiful sunrises and nice to relax by the lake in the afternoons. Fenced in backyard was a huge bonus for the dog to enjoy wind down time.

Family Weekend

This was our second time to stay in this Lake Moultrie Lake House. We brought our grandchildren to enjoy the great fishing here at this cute little cabin. Beds were comfortable and we had all we needed to make our trip a great family get away. Our grandsons fished all day and late into the evening thanks to the dock lights. They caught enough for us to have a fish fry. We enjoyed the porch, spending much of our time outside and our dogs enjoyed the fenced in yard. Would definitely stay again! Thanks for sharing this gem with our family!

Hidden Gem

This property is very nice. The views of the lake and backyard area are great. Our dogs had a blast! We took our boat with us and did have some trouble because it is a center console boat. The tree hangs really low in the driveway making it hard to park the boat. We figured it out but just a note to boat owners making the trip. The boat launch is right beside the house. A few kitchen upgrades needed. We were also bummed that the grill did not have propane. It is also a flat top grill. We had to use the oven a lot to cook our burgers and ribs for our dinners we planned. Overall we had a very nice time and enjoyed our stay!

Fun Family Getaway

This house was so quaint. My family of 4 had a great time enjoying the lake and the fishing. It was close enough to where we are from for some of kids friends to come visit and they had a blast. Would love to visit again when it's warmer. Owners and their dog were super friendly.

Christmas 2023

I didn’t spend that much time at the house but for me it was right around the corner from my sister and a perfect location. The beauty of the sun rising over the water was lovely. The home was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Not to mention the outdoor Christmas lights made coming back late at night very nice.

Weekend at the Swimming Hole 2

The property is lovely. We loved the fishing dock, the fenced yard for the puppy, the fire pit in the evenings. We felt the kitchen was lacking and shouldn't be advertised as gourmet. It's a small galley kitchen without a few essential items needed for preparing meals for a family. The beds were comfy and the furniture in the family room comfortable. We would come back again, it was a fun weekend.

Not as advertised

Although initially appeared ok, the first day we noted the alarm had been disconnected and there were no games as advertised. The air filter was almost black it was so dirty and the vacuum cleaner was full of dog hair. We had to go buy our own air filter for our daughter who has allergies could stay there. There was a spider problem and a few days into our stay a roach problem was noted. When we notified the owner of the issues, there was no correction or attempt at correction of the problem.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my third stay at this property since 2021 and I have been pleased every time with the property and amenities.Everything was as described in the listing. We had no issues so we had no need to have any direct contact with the owner/manager of the property. They provide a very comfortable and relaxing home on the lake. The house was very clean and we enjoyed having the corn hole and kayak's available to us. There is more than adequate seating on the back porch and in the yard to enjoy a view of the lake, sunsets and the fire pit.My only complaint, and this is not about the quality of the property or owners, but is directed to the vacation rental industry, I think it has become overpriced. Since my first stay at this property in 2021 the price has more than doubled but I have seen this on many properties on various vacation rental sites. I get inflation and understand that everything has gone up but not more than twice as much in less than a 2 year period.It is a great property to stay at but I just don't think it is worth what is now being charged for it through vacation rental sites.

Grandsons first fish 🐟

The property is lovely and completely fenced which i needed with our dogs. The dock is complete with lighting in the evening. We enjoyed the fire pit and the lights in the trees were magical. Comfortable beds and nice AC. Grandson caught his first fish and we would definitely return.

Beautiful location with amazing lake views!

The backyard is a paradise with beautiful lake view! Gorgeous sunrise over the lake. Well equipped for any family to enjoy a vacation! The home is older, but well maintained. The host is very responsive to needs and is quick to respond. We enjoyed our stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: One of the finest amenities is the very large and fully fenced yard for pets. My labradoodle and I spent almost all of our time outdoors on the porch or by the water. Beautiful view, very quiet safe neighborhood and one gorgeous sunrise. I very much appreciated the friendly kindness of the owners who responded quickly to any questions. I am sure that in a warmer season the water activities would be a great attraction. It was a surprise to learn that there is a lot of history to the area so don’t miss the Old Santee Canal Park and Berkeley County Museum. Really good seafood restaurants are nearby as well as shopping for any necessity at a short distance in Moncks Corner. A sight-seeing trip to Charleston is also only an hour away.

Bonneau Beach trip

The view of the lake is wonderful, the house is very old and the floors are uneven very tricky for people with disabilities. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.
