Luxury cozy room in the oasis of South Miami near marina, trails, national park.
It is not for everyone but it is just for you. It is a private comfortable room in a quiet, safe, clean home and neighborhood.
There is nice leaving room, bathroom and parking lot available. There are accessibility to microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, and others basic needs.
I enjoyed my stay here. Betty was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had everything you might need to heat up and cook your own food. There are also lots of restaurants nearby to choose from.
The house is in a great location to see the Everglades, go down to Key Largo, or tour the Miami area. I would definitely stay again. Thanks!
Very nice, clean and close to everything. Betty was extremely helpful and friendly. The room had most things need to heat up food and eat, but a wide variety of restaurants nearby also. Only thing I wasn't aware of was bathroom was shared with occupants across hall if occupied. I didn't have any issues, but was surprised. Lovely place and I would stay again.
The description said we would have the entire place to ourselves but it ended up being a tiny room in the back of a shared house. It's not "LUXURY ". People were always coming and going, talking loudly, and we had to share a small bathroom with complete strangers. It was not what i paid for or what was advertised. It also says you get access to a hot tub, but there was no access to a hot tub. I had to contact host 3 times for things that should have been in the room already. She's a nice lady, but I just think she is misrepresenting the property and making it seem like you have more privacy than you actually have. Host lives there too and I just kept feeling uncomfortable, like i was paying her money to be in a tiny room in the back of a house that's clearly occupied by family. Like I said, she was a nice lady. But as someone who likes privacy, I would not book this property again.
Just like any other VRBO place that you can stay at, there are positives and negatives. First the negatives; the bathroom was shared by everyone in the house. Was this a little awkward? Yes. Was it so awkward that we chose to pay more money to stay someplace else? Nope! Everyone in the house was considerate of each other and the bathroom was never occupied so long that it made a difference. The bathroom was also kept clean by the host every day that we were there. The positives; The front door and room door have keypad locks, so once the host gives you the code you can get into the front door and into your room. Very convenient. The rooms are equipped with basic kitchen appliances that allow you to prepare microwavable meals, and a water heating carafe to heat water for oatmeal, grits, tea, etc. We opted to use our own paper plates and bowls to simplify cleanup. Regular ceramic dishes are provided if you prefer those over paper products. The house is located in a good neighborhood in Cutler Bay and is one street away from the Metrobus route with multiple bus stops nearby. My wife and I had a blast using the Metrobus, Metrorail, Metro mover, and various trolleys to see everything in Miami that we wanted to see, without having to drive our car into Miami even once. We purchased the one week Metro Pass for 30 each and used it every day we were there. We also took a Greyhound bus to Key West for a short visit and saw the most beautiful sunset we have ever seen in our lives.
The house was a nice stay in a nice neighborhood about 40 minutes from Miami. Close to Coral Gables, Little Havana, Everglades, etc. Plenty of restaurants around or an easy drive to Miami for the day.
The room has EVERYTHING you would need. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker, mini blender, dishes, wine glasses.. you name it!
Only downside, maybe not downside but wasnât communicated or in the listing when we booked- you have a room immediately across the hall from you that they also rent out and then share the bathroom with these random people. Itâs one thing to share with an owner because you know theyâve been vetted by VRBO, but if I were a single woman traveler and the potential of a strange man across from me wouldnât make me feel safe. The doors DO have key locks, & there is a camera in the entry room/common area.. but I just think thatâs information the listing should provide.
It would be great for two couples since there are two separate bedrooms or a family with kids old enough to share the room across the hall!
Knowing what I know now, I would for sure stay again- as long as my man was with me. :)
