This creek-side four-bedroom home is the perfect place to bring your family on your next trip to North Carolina! With private dock access, enjoy the sights, sounds, and local wildlife viewing every day, go kayaking, or try your luck at some fishing. When you aren't gazing out at the gleaming water, head for the private hot tub for a bubbling soak under the star-speckled sky.

Inside, discover an open-concept living room, dining area, and kitchen. Promoting family time, this space is large enough for everyone to feel comfortable. Gather on the soft seating in the living room while streaming your favorite TV shows and movies. Or, don your chef's hat and show off your culinary skills amongst the stainless steel appliances, wood countertops, and center island in the full kitchen. When mealtime rolls around, dine at the formal dining table or dine alfresco and continue to enjoy the sunshine on the home's patio.

Additionally, the sunroom offers a private space to sit, visit, and look out at the water, and the private washer/dryer ensures that chore time is the least of your concerns.

With four spacious bedrooms to choose from everyone in your family is sure to be satisfied. Private TVs, high-quality linens, and ample natural lighting come with each. Beautiful views!!!

The house is taken care of. Has beautiful views and all the comforts of home. The house was very clean also, The beds are ok, wouldn’t rate them the best to be honest. The hot tub was AMAZING. A/C works great, the house was cool even when it was 90+ outside with high humidity. The lawn at this home is immaculate. Grass was freshly cut, I ran outside playing with the kids barefoot the entire time we were there and it was amazing! I’ve seen reviews that there are pests in the house. If that was ever an issue, it has been dealt with! Didn’t see a single bug, rodent, etc or any hint of their existence in the home the entire time we were there. There is a ton of wildlife outside and we loved that too! Had a great stay, thank you so much!

Nice location such a private area, with beautiful views. The house was very nice the kitchen was set- up with everything you need. Close to some great restaurants. Laid back town.

A long driveway leads to a beautifully situated home overlooking the sound. Tons of privacy and really convenient!

VACASA is a NIGHTMARE- house views are gorgeous

The HOUSE was very nice. We were very disappointed in the communication from rental company. Cameras all over the perimeter that are not mentioned in the listing were maddening. We even had an appraiser show up on our departure day while trying to pack up the house. We have stayed in a lot of rentals-kitchen supplies are lacking. No plastic cups, no toaster, very few pans to cook with. No pepper! Outside trash cans were also full at check in. Prior to arrival, we inquired about the ability for the dock to house our pontoon boat and we’re told it would be fine. When we arrived at 4 PM on Friday, we barely got the boat to the dock due to oyster beds and VERY low tide. The boat was useless to us until the next day at high tide!! There were times it wasn’t even in water that’s how low the tide was. Hot tub was great as was back porch chairs to catch the view!! WiFi was not the best, but we were outside most of the time. Killer property!

The Rhododendron Cottage 6/22-6/26/25

You are paying for an amazing location! The views and sunsets are gorgeous, the house is ok, definitely nothing special but again this is about the location. Quick ride to downtown or Atlantic Beach, shopping, dining and groceries are all nearby. The house had a plumbing issue prior to our arrival so we were inconvenienced by that but those things are out of our control. The toaster/convection oven looked brand new but was broken and never worked. The management company was very delayed and provided conflicting information about the plumber getting over to fix the issue which was very frustrating. There is no laundry or dishwasher soap provided. So bring your own because the rental agreement states you will clean and empty the dishwasher prior to leaving, not sure how they expect that to happen with no soap? Overall the location is fantastic and the house is ok. Beautiful area with plenty to do for families.

VACASA the rental company was an absolute nightmare to deal with. We will never book anything managed by them again. Communication was horrific and conflicting. There were times we waited six hours for our response while we were at the house and having issues or questions. We were told our pontoon boat would be fine on the dock. We drove our boat six hours only to find out that low tide is so low. The boat is not even in the water and completely useless for most of the day.We were offered an opportunity for a reduced rate late checkout. At 10 AM a home appraiser showed up unannounced to access the entire house and take photos while we were trying to enjoy our morning prior to departing. There are no smoke detectors. We are a fire fighter family. This is a definite problem. RING cameras all over the exterior of the property. This goes against the listing that mentions just one on the front door and felt like a TOTAL privacy violation. The house was very nice and the views are priceless! We brought our paddle boards. Morning coffee and evening drinks on the deck were amazing. The hot tub was a plus!!The kitchen is definitely lacking in basic items like frying pans, a toaster and common spices like pepper! WiFi wasn’t the what it could have been, but we spent most time outside! Due to VACASA alone we won’t be back!!

I'll be back!

Advertisement describes this home perfectly. Location was great, near everything! Secluded area with a dock to fish and catch crabs fun for the young ones. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was huge. Made it easy to prepare meals. Will definitely book again!

Quiet location

The property is well maintained. Love the marsh where there was lots of wildlife. We saw everything from crabs, to cranes, to lizards. 15 minute drive to the Atlantic Beach Boardwalk. Convenient to shopping and food.

Property is lovely, but needs care and love

The house itself and the location were great. We also enjoyed the hot tub. We didn’t appreciate that the bathrooms were not clean properly (we found hair, dirty toilets, roaches). We encountered mice, mice’s poop over the counters in kitchen, ants (we didn’t care much as it is to be expected) and cockroaches in one of the bedrooms, kitchen, living room, etc.

Piece of paradise

Gorgeous house, the pictures don’t do it justice! Minutes away from downtown waterfront Beaufort but nestled into your own private waterfront t paradise in the woods. Soak away your stress in your own private hot in, surrounded by views and sounds of the marsh and creek under the stars! Very private! I can’t say enough. We can’t wait to come back!!

Great getaway

Love the location of the house and the dock. The layout of the house is great as well. Plenty of fish to be caught off the dock although the picnic table was in pieces when we arrived. Also don't expect to launch kayaks without getting very muddy and only at high tide. We paddled elsewhere. Being close to the marsh, lots of dead bugs inside, but we could over look that due to all the other positives. Otherwise very clean and well kept home.

Rhododendron Issues

Lights in one bathroom not working. Found large water bugs in the home. Barbecue gas tank was empty. Poison ivy growing around the barbecue grill. Sliding glass doors on the shower in the bathroom fell off their tracks. One could not be fixed. Name of person given to contact with problems in the off hours was no longer doing this work. Spent lots of time on these issues. Requested a partial refund , but still have NOT received it.

Great Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful and well equipped, though they could use an update on pots/pans for the kitchen. We experienced a short power outage while we were there (not their fault) and Vacasa was very easy to get a hold of and contacted the property ownerto get updates from the power company. My only suggestion for visitors planning to use the pier would be to bring some bug spray. There was plenty of fish and crabs around the pier and we were able to catch a few of them.

Location

This was our second time staying at this house. The location is awesome, close enough to everything but far enough away. Beds are comfortable and the house had everything we needed. The views from the backyard are the best.

Beautiful, very private home on the water

This was our second stay at this property. We had such an amazing time when we came last year that I couldn’t wait to return. It really is a piece of paradise, nestled back in the woods and on a peaceful and very private marsh with amazing views of the intercoastal waterway. The sunsets are the prettiest I’ve ever seen and it’s so quiet. Soaking in the hot tub with that view is like nothing I’ve ever experienced. The house was not as clean as I would have hoped when we arrived but the host Vacasa was very attentive and took care of everything quickly. Absolutely beautiful home and we will definitely be back.
