The Overlook - Downtown - Parking

The Overlook got its name from the oversized deck overlooking the award-winning Cape Fear river walk! The Overlook is one of the best spots in downtown Wilmington. Within walking distance to several restaurants, bars, museums, breweries, and more! The Overlook offers a king bed, one bath, and a massive deck for morning coffees or sipping afternoon wine. Enjoy all of downtown Wilmington in this centrally located condo!

The Riverwalk in Downtown Wilmington is a showstopper of a stroll that is a distinctive attraction all its own. Originally conceived in the 1980s as a way to generate more interest and tourism to the Cape Fear River waterfront regions of Wilmington's historic Downtown, today the Riverwalk encompasses a full mile of scenic boardwalk, hugging the borders of the riverfront, and providing visitors with endless views and easy access to some of the Downtown's most beloved attractions.

Guests will have full access to the entire condo and common space in the open atrium in the center of the building. There is a locked owners closet in the hallway for our supplies, but everything else is yours to use. Guests can check in with a keypad entry.

We provide a parking pass for one car in a parking lot located a few blocks from the condo.

Please be sure to review our cancellation policy prior to making your reservation. We strongly recommend purchasing trip insurance at the time of booking.

Kitchen was complete with all that was needed to cook a meal in. The location was ideal for walking the riverwalk and all of the historic area.Free parking was within a few block and convenient.Throughly enjoyed my stay!

This place provided an amazing view, the property/room was very clean, easy to find, great location with many restaurants, coffee places, stores, etc within walking distance!! This place was perfect for a long weekend. Location is AMAZING! The parking was a downside, as the offered lot is 3 blocks away and when it’s raining, it’s not fun to walk that. But there is paid parking directly across from the place that worked. Just stunk they couldn’t get a spot there. The host was very quick to respond when we didn’t have bedding the first night on the pull out couch and they sent someone the very next day to assist. This place is located very close to bars and restaurants so at night, you can hear the music and fun the people are experiencing outside until about 11/12. The inside was clean and absolutely beautiful! I’d recommend this spot to anyone.

We had an amazing time. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the sunset. We were in walking distance to all the homes we toured. We walked the river walk every night. A beautiful condo. Our first time visiting. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this location. Initially we had an issue with vacuuming being missed by the cleaner, but communication was prompt and problem solved. The location was excellent with a shot walk to all the main downtown area, bars and restaurants. Parking was easy and just a short walk. No issues at all. The apartment was modern and well equipped for our stay. The bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious. However, if u are sensitive to light, the curtains do not fully block the streetlights. The bathroom is small but serves its purpose. Living room was cozy and comfortable for two adults. Our favorite part of our stay was the balcony overlooking the Riverwalk and the river itself. We spent more time out on the balcony with morning coffees and afternoon/evening cocktails than anticipated! Can’t wait to come back and stay in this unit again!

Can’t beat this location in Downtown Wilmington! Was able to walk anywhere to visit the river walk, restaurants, and shops. Looks newly renovated so everything was in good shape. Great view to watch the sunset from the balcony. Will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in Wilmington again.

5 Stars – Amazing Stay!

This place was perfect—clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The location was great, and the host was super friendly and helpful. The place is waterfront and walking distance to everything. Communication with owners was fast and professional. The smoke alarm started chirping late one evening, they had a maintenance man there first the next day, who was also nice and professional. Would definitely stay again!

Quick Stay for Work Conference

Overall this was a great rental choice! I was in town to speak at a conference, so I arrived later in the evening the night before. Everything was as expected, except the bathroom was not as clean as the rest of the rental. The next morning I made the property manager aware, and all was good! I loved the location, and would definitely stay here again! It didn't bother us, but others may want to consider that being on the riverwalk does come with a little added noise. I don't think we could hear much from the bedroom, but during the day you could hear the boat noises and people chatter.We didn't use the kitchen much, other than to store some leftovers in the fridge but everything appeared to be clean and in good condition from what I saw.

Best location in town

If you want the best location in town I recommend this Vrbo. We could sit on the balcony over the boardwalk , people watch and enjoy the sun. We walked everywhere. Close to great restaurants and close to neighborhoods if you like to look at beautiful homes and great architecture from the towns origin. Parking was great. If we return it will only be if we can get this property again.

Excellent Location

This was our first time to Wilmington, NC. Was there only for two nights. This unit is close to everything. Host provided a list of restaurants. Found the listing to be accurate. Being right on the river was a great plus. The owner provided ice cube trays for the non-working ice maker.

Great Location and Views

My husband and I stayed here over the weekend. The location was great, walking distance to all the restaurants downtown. Great communication with owner and easy check in and check out. We would stay there again.

The location was amazing. Walkable to everything in the historic district, and a fantastic balcony right on the river. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen well-appointed, and there were no chotchkes to gather dust and take up valuable space. There was a minor issue with the fridge when we arrived but I was very impressed with the excellent communication and rapid fix. Loved it all!

Great location and only a short walk to great restaurants, shopping and activities. Property was immaculate and tastefully decorated-making for a memorial stay.
