Very clean cottage with well-stocked kitchen with a great outdoors area for grilling and hanging out. Quiet relaxing location way up off the road. The hosts were unobtrusive but available. We have already recommended this cottage to our immediate family for future stays.
Canât say enough about Mint Cottage. Wonderfully furnished, immaculately clean, situated on an absolutely lovely rural property (the wildflower meadow is amazing!) Host Christine is attentive and immediately responsive. Thank you for the great stay!
Host Christine was very responsive and check in was easiest we've ever had. Nice updated bathroom. We loved the country feel but were close enough to towns for dinner. We spent most of our time driving around exploring history in Virginia. We saw deer and a family of foxes near the cottage which was fun to watch. Unfortunately we were there during the record heat wave so couldnt enjoy the egg chairs outside or check out the walking trails. Only very minor thing we would of liked was a box of kleenex. We would definitely consider staying at Mint Cottage again we we come back to the area.
The cottage is lovely, with modern kitchen and bath and charming furnishings throughout. Views are wonderful and the location is quiet, set well back from the road. The host is very prompt and courteous in communications. She went above and beyond the call of duty in helping us when I temporarily mislaid the key.
Everything was perfect! Clean, comfy, and peaceful. The pictures really do not do this property justice. Lots of neat details inside and out. The hostess is easy to get in touch with and truly cares about your stay! We plan to return.
This is an amazing property! Quaint, clean, and a very nice property owner. Have stayed several times and is always our first choice when coming to the area!
Enjoyed a very relaxing stay with our pup. Great Mountain views and places to walk. Cottage is lovely and Christine was very responsive. Would definitely recommend.
We had a great weekend at the cottage. Really beautiful property. Cottage was well appointed and communication with owner was easy. Thanks for a great visit.
Very nice cottage, and excellent host. Great communication, location, and had everything and more that we needed. Very accommodating for our dog! We will definitely be returning here.
Our stay was perfect. The cottage was exactly as listed, if not even better. Itâs located on a beautiful piece of property very close to Shenandoah NP. Perfect for a quiet little getaway, especially if youâre looking to do a couple day trips into Shenandoah, which is about a 15-minute drive away. We also really enjoyed walking around the property on the little trails and field clearings.
We really enjoyed our stay. It is adorable with mountain views and next to a charming barn. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable. It had nice touches like a keurig with creamer in the fridge. Would definitely stay here again!! Thank You!
my friend and i brought our dogs so we could all do some mountain trails. the cottage was quaint, it worked perfect for use. beautiful farm setting with plenty of walking options. owners are fantastic hosts. peaceful, relaxing, and great mountain sunsets.
The Mint Cottage is a perfect little place for a nature-filled getaway. It is nicely furnished and the kitchen is well-stocked for cooking. Being able to bring my dog was a huge plus. Christine was very flexible, communicative, and welcoming of the dog. The only drawback is it is a very wooded area and youâll have to check yourself and pets for ticks.
The property is beautiful and the amenities are as described. The only mention I would have is that it does not have a bath tub (not a deal breaker for us) but small kids may not be as okay with a shower. Our little (<18 m) loved the space and chasing the lightning bugs. I would definitely go back!
My husband and i really enjoyed our stay at Mint Cottage! The property and grounds are beautiful and well maintained- the owner had cleared a nice walking path. The cottage was clean and well stocked, and the kitchen has everything you need. A fire pit might be a nice addition to consider but we enjoyed relaxing on the deck in the evenings and setting up a telescope to look at the stars. Christine was a wonderful and friendly host. Highly recommend!
drive up the driveway and tranquility instantly takes over. the home is so quaint and perfect for a weekend getaway. sitting on the deck listening to birds chirp and all cares fall to the wayside. our pups loved the big front yard to walk around and sniff new smells. property owner was incredibly kind -- left a hand written note welcoming us with contact #s and more than accommodating with every request. just stellar
Mint cottage was an ideal place to unwind after a stressful period. The furnishings were charming. The AC/Heat worked well. The deck afforded distant mountain glimpses with gorgeous sunsets. The main house while not very far away interfered little with the stay. While ringed by a busy road, there were two different meadow walks and a wide path that led to a little pond (not the pond across the road belonging to a housing development. I took the wrong path behind the cottage instead of beside the main house and got confused). The over 100 acre property is well maintained and very pretty.
My only complaints were the lack of outlets on each side of the main bed along with the need for a nightstand wider than a milk can. More hooks in the bathroom and a wastebasket there would have made life easier. Still the beauty and comfort otherwise was much appreciated. Proximity to Front Royal was a plus.
