Come relax at our beautiful secluded river cabin tucked away in the heart of Strasburg, VA in a glorious river community. Our family has had the pleasure of being a part of this community for many years and would like to share our home with you. The stunning views from the wrap around deck will send you to a place of relaxation and bliss. This 2 bed 1 bath cabin features a full kitchen, large master bedroom with beautiful skylights, living room and dining room, and a large screened in porch and open air deck. Outside activities include a private fire pit area with a horseshoe pit. You will also have access to the community river lot for all of your fishing and tubing adventures (Tubes and fishing poles are provided). This is a mountain retreat. It has steep steps and a steep walk way. It is a true mountain cabin. The drive to the house is alittle steep. If we have gotten snow or alot of rain the driveway maybe difficult to navigate without 4wd or all wheel drive. This is a mountain cabin.
Lovely home! We had such a great visit and the house itself was everything we were looking for. The home was comfy, and all the touches to make us feel welcomed and ready to relax. Great for families with all the games! Even with perfect weather, we could not get our SUVs up the driveway. Recommendation to update listing that this is getaway cabin is 4-wheel drive only. We had a wagon with us so it wasnât a huge deal. George was responsive and let us know where to park, etc. The lights down at the fire pit also were not working - but it wasnât a deal breaker. But plan accordingly. (Did not reach out to hosts regarding this as it wasnât a big deal).
The cabin was very cozy, with warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment we walked in. It was neat and clean. George, our host, was exceptionally responsive, promptly addressing all our questions. We truly felt at home from the very beginning of our stay, making it a perfect getaway. We will be back.
This cabin was a great place for my little family to stay. It was clean and had everything we needed. It is also a beautiful place to stay. The only problem we had was the location. We didnât realize it was on a steep gravel road that recommended 4WD vehicles and our truck wasnât a 4WD so we struggled getting up to the cabin. But other than that, it was perfect!
We had a great time at this cabin! It was comfortable, clean, and beautiful! The pictures donât do this place justice. Our only regret is not booking for a longer stay. We will definitely be returning!
We loved our stay at the cabin! It was a lovely getaway to the mountains and it was so nice to be able to spend some time in Shenandoah National Park as the entrance is so close. The cabin was cozy and perfect for our trip. The hosts were also so accommodating in making sure we could stay even with bad weather forecasted on the weekend we planned being in the cabin. We would recom
This cabin & the listing description is exactly what you get. Remote & quiet. My dogs were in heaven with all the space to run in the woods. Hubby gathered firewood, which there was .plenty very close by
Itâs the coziest of cabins snuggled into the mountains! Close (40ish min drive) to Shenadoah National park for great hiking. A ten minute drive to its own cute little downtown. Do not recommend suicases with wheels, only pack duffle bags as the entrance to the cabin is up a few rocky steps- nothing that hindered us but did see noted in other reviews.
Loved the location. The cabin definitely needs a good cleaning. This oven was filthy, the shower had someone else's hair in it. Bring your own sheets and there's a stain on the mattress cover. I had to wash the shower mat before use. The air filters were disgustingly filthy. The owner did change the filters, but couldn't take 30 seconds to clean the grates when he put in new filters. There seems to be no pride in ownership. A little elbow grease and paint goes a long way. And...sweep the leaves off the deck owners, don't be so lazy. The place has a lot of potential. Don't let your investment go to waste,
Overall, the cabin was very clean and well stocked and with extensive directions were provided, however use of the TV could have been better. TV wifi kept going out. Because of rainy weather driveway was a challenge but it all worked out. We would visit again maybe in early summer.
