The house was very clean! Beds and pillows were comfortable. Plenty of utensils and dishes. Beach towels were provided. A cooler to take to the beach would have been awesome. Hot water supply for showers was amazing! We enjoyed our stay! My only complaint⊠The garbage cans were almost full when we got there. The last guests must not have put the cans out for pick up.
This property was great! It was in a good area near a lot of other things to do and places to eat. Guy was amazing and answered any questions we had. Overall we had an amazing time and would stay again anytime!
Clean house close to stores, legoland, and the beach. The owner of the house was easy to work with. The house appears to be recently renovated as everything seems brand new. We didnât sleep with the windows open, but the area seemed safe.
We had a great stay! We arrived early and Guy (the host) allowed us to check in an hour earlier than planned. The home was very clean and looked recently remodeled. The layout of the house was very spacious, so we had no problem hosting our family (adults and children). We were in town for a wedding, so we didnât have a chance to utilize any of the beach amenities provided. Overall we had a great stay and Iâd recommend this property!
Not ready to go back to 13 degrees and snow in South Dakota
We enjoyed our stay in sunny Oceanside the week of Thanksgiving. The house was immaculately clean. The home was on one level and easy for my 86 year old mom to navigate.
The open design of living space was great when we ate suppers and brunches together.
The off street parking could accommodate our 3 vehicles easily.
We had a wonderful stay and my mom met her 5 great grandsons (5 years to 3 months old).
Pros: My family and I just stayed at this property. I canât say enough about the excellent communication with the owners. The house has everything you need, fully stocked items for the kitchen as well as towels, beach gear, bunk beds for the kids- everything was wonderful and beautifully decorated.
Cons: The neighborhood streets were lined with cars all day! It is a busy neighborhood.
We would have liked some privacy shades in the front room due to the amount of cars parked on the street .
The property wasnât cleaned when we checked in but the owner sent over 3 cleaning crew members ASAP! They also sent over Crumble cookies in the evening for the inconvenience of not being able to check in on time .
Overall you could tell the owners made an intentional effort to make sure the property had everything vacationers needed to enjoy their time away from home.
Great house - neighborhood leaves a lot to be desired
We stayed at this property for 10 days over Christmas in 2023. This house was newly renovated and clean. We had a few minor issues during our stay and were able to troubleshoot appropriately. The owners were very responsive and sent us Crumbl Cookies for our troubles. The immediate neighborhood left a lot to be desired. It is lined with cars on both sides of the street and there is literally ZERO street parking. There is sufficient parking at the house itself for a few cars - but It didn't matter day or night - the cars just rotated with no street parking available. Our initial impression upon checking in was that the neighborhood felt a bit sketchy. We vowed not to allow a first impression to dictate our stay. But that feeling never left. Every night my husband would say "I hope our car doesn't get broken into tonight." It never did, but the feeling was there. This is an interesting neighborhood because we had other family members staying about a 1/2 mile away and the look/feel/vibe of that neighborhood was vastly different. We had 2 nights of a very loud and disruptive neighbor. The other neighbors did not seem bothered which told us they must be used to this. Each of the nights his antics were wrapped up by midnight - but disruptive nonetheless. We also came home a couple of nights to discarded beer cans, trash, and food in front of the house. Bottom line, the cuteness of the house did not override the overall feel of the neighborhood. We left feeling disappointed.
