A perfect location for a great vacation. Easy access to everything the Vineyard has to offer. We enjoyed the wonderful outdoor shower, and listening to all the birds. Very relaxing! Roger, the host, is extremely responsive.
We spent a week on vacation, and the house is sweet. Itâs well cared for, clean and convenient to Oak Bluffs waterfront. My feedback is to provide beach chairs and umbrella (the chairs were broken or terrible condition). The bathrooms were both pretty small/awkward to navigate. The house is also on a busy road so thereâs a good level of noise when trying to sleep.
We really liked the house/cottage and location. The house was well stocked and clean. Found the cottage very comfortable and liked the ceiling fans. Didnât need the A/C at all. Great breeze coming through the many windows. Nice billowing curtains and comfortable furniture. TV, Wi-Fi, and radio worked fine. Making plans to return next year.

This is a simple straight forward cottage in a great location. It had the basics of what you need for an easy beach stay on MV. Not fancy but had what was needed. Good amount of space. The bathrooms are tight even for people with good mobility. But there is a good outdoor shower that works just fine and who doesn't love an outdoor shower. The back entrance has a couple of high steps and sharp corner to turn which is a little hard to negotiate. Worked fine for us.
We enjoyed our stay and the property was fine. The bathrooms are small but the water pressure in the outdoor shower is great! The house has a nice open layout. The street is a busy one. We enjoyed discovering all the different towns on Martha's Vineyard beyond Oak Bluffs, Vineyard Haven and Edgartown. Thanks...
Nice house for small family. Window units kept the entire house cool. Kitchen was well stocked. Caretaker was very helpful. The location was wonderful for daily morning walks. Would rent again.
MV is an amazing place to visit and the property is in a great location on Oaks Bluff. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen has all the necessary items to make meals for your family. All in all a great stay. Thank you.
We had 7 adults. We love Oak bluffs and this location worked just fine for us. The house is very nice, good common space to play games or just relax. The only thing I would say needs improvement is the beds. They are doubles and no queens, and they are old mattresses. So between the size and age, it was hard for everyone to get a good nights sleep. I would highly recommend new and larger beds at some point very soon. We did enjoy our stay, regardless. Thank you, Susan
My family has a cottage on the vineyard and I have been going there as my second home for 36 years. My husband and I were so excited to take our toddler son on his first vacation and find a home we were comfortable in and was close to my family home. This exceeded our expectations. The home is very family friendly. We did rent a baby gate for the doorway off the kitchen into the back hall because of steep steps, but it was an extremely easy fix. Our son loved playing on the screened in porch and running through all the rooms. It is a blessing to have air conditioning in a house on the island and all three bedrooms had their own! My husband is a chef and was in his glory with the extremely well stocked kitchen. The outdoor shower was amazing and the yard was a great size. This place is incredible and we fully intend on returning and making it our family vacation home.
The house accommodated we 5 adults and 2 children very comfortably. Everything was handy. Outdoor shower a huge hit. Most people followed protocol. The island was well set up for safety from the virus. The island and beaches are beautiful. Had a great time.
Positives: Good proximity to Oak Bluffs and East Chop Road - works well with bikes but walking not optimal (especially on busy NY Avenue); Even though not a large house, layout of house may it seem fairly spacious; well stocked kitchen in terms of cookware, glassware, etc.; outdoor shower great; decent backyard
Negatives: a bit noisy being on the corner of New York Avenue (a major street); largest bed is a double, which is very small for a couple to share - my wife and I slept in separate beds after the first night - would be great if there was a queen sized bed in the larger bedroom..
We had a wonderful time the stay was very pleasant! everything was close, the beaches and supermarket .. the house has everything a family of 7 people needs for its use.
It is true that the bathrooms are very small and a little uncomfortable but having a bathroom outside and spacious we took advantage of that.
Thanks for your kindness and courtesy.
We had a great vacation! The house was spotless when we arrived. The homeowners are very quick and respond promptly, although I only texted once to thank them. They give an honest description on the VRBO site, and while the house is small, I believe it was a great price for the location.
We love to walk so no issues for us.
Rented a Jeep one day and a scooter another!
Thank you for sharing your home.

We had such a wonderful time during our stay. The place was so conveniently located and comfortable. The maps and other info about the island that were supplied made us feel instantly welcome. I would definitely stay here again.
My family and I enjoy your home. It felt like a home. Very clean ,roomy and it had everything I would have at my own house.. Very well supply. Thank you for letting us check in early. You have no idea how grateful I was to be able to rest a bit. In the future we would like to be able to rent again.
Thank you
My wife and I, my sister and Husband stayed in July 2015, we found the place to be very clean, and well updated. All the amenities that you needed were available. The front porch was nice for morning coffee and late night drinks, there was plenty of room for all of 4 of us, we had 2 guest join us for a night and there was still plenty of room. Big kitchen for multiple people making meals, nice back yard for grilling. It was a short walk to Oak Bluffs center.
The Owner was very accommodating and quick to respond to emails or phone calls.
The house was in a convenient location - walked East Chop & into Oak Bluffs (< 1 mile) each day. House was small (especially bathrooms), but clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Yard was too small for 11 year old boys to play in. Wished we could have enjoyed front porch more, but it was quite slanted. Owner and caretaker were easy to work with. Overall we had a great stay.

I am a native New Yorker with strong New England (and specifically Martha's Vineyard)roots. I am an avid outdoorsman and family man who enjoys biking, hiking, skiing and photography.
Having lived in the northeast the majority of my life, I have a soft spot for Martha's Vineyard. I have fond childhood memories of visits to Cape Cod and the islands, and relish memories of biking and swimming during those summers past. When the opportunity arose to purchase a home here, I was ecstatic, and I consider myself lucky to be able to enjoy and share the beauty of this island with others.
The benefits of staying at this property include the beauty of the East chop (which is right around the corner), short walk to beach or town, all of the amenities of home with the simplicity of the quaint town of Oak Bluffs.
