Menehune Shores #405 2bed/2bath recently renovated

Forth floor 2 bed/2bath recently renovated condo, Menehune Shores oceanfront. Enjoy ocean and beach views from your balcony. The beach is just a few steps away from our condo. Enjoy the sunsets and sunrises. Our guests say the beach in front of our condo feels very private and relaxing. You will enjoy grilling on one of the multiple BBQ's and picnic tables right next to the beach. There is also shuffle board next to the BBQ area if you like to play.

Our condo consists of 2 bedrooms with Queen size beds. Our couch is a sofa bed. Our unit sleeps a total of 6 people. We have 2 full bathrooms, laundry area, large living room, dinning room and kitchen. As you can see from our pictures, we fully remodeled the entire condo in 2022. We have AC and fans in every room. The showers are spacious with floor to ceiling tile. Our kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The ocean views from the master bedroom are amazing and you will look forward to looking out the large windows every morning when you wake up.

Our 2 bed/2bath property is located at the oceanfront Menehune Shores complex. There is also one of the best Indian restaurants (Monsoon India) on the bottom floor of our building.

Next to Menehune Shores you can find the Kalepolepo Beach Park and the Mai Poina Beach Park which is about 2 minutes away. Less than 1 mile away, you can enjoy many restaurants and grocery stores and shopping. The closest shopping center includes Miso Phat Sushi, Roasted Chiles (great salsa!), Nutcharees Authentic Thai Food, Coconut's Fish Cafe (our favorite), Long's Drug store, Safeway Grocery Store, Outback Steakhouse, Subway, Panda Express, Cold Stone Creamery, Round Table pizza etc.

There is so much to do in Maui including snorkeling, scuba diving, zip lining, etc. There is a stand in the front of the condo building with lots of info pertaining to excursions.

The property felt a bit dusty overall. Although it was recently renovated, leftover construction material was still tucked under the bed along with a lot of dirt. The required damage waiver fee was also disappointing. For the price, I would choose to stay elsewhere.

We really enjoyed staying at Menehune Shores - the unit & building were in great condition, it was right on the beach, and was centrally located to go sightseeing all over Maui. We enjoyed breakfast/lunch on the balcony & watching the canoes going out for the day through the rock wall. I was a little concerned about how effective the room AC units would be (since I'm used to central a/c), but we stayed completely comfortable the entire time. We came with extended family & rented 2 other units which were also nice - just pay attention to which ones have been updated. 405 was great- updated & clean. Parking spots were tight for the suburban-size vehicle we had, but fine for the more standard size car that my brother rented. We always found a spot too. Overall we thought it was a great location & value, & would definitely stay again!

Amazing stay in Kihei

We have stayed in Kihei twice and I feel like this is the perfect property. It is fairly far north but unlike the places more south, it is directly on the water. The Menehune Shores staff keeps the property SPOTLESS. Absolutely beautiful grounds and amenities. The unit itself is up-to-date, was super clean and has all of the things you need to enjoy the beach. The water section in front of the property is a great place to swim and is very easily accessed. A lot of rental properties embellish their balcony views but the views from this unit were even better than pictured. Lastly, communication from the host was top-notch. Overall I would HIGHLY recommend staying in this rental.

This was the perfect place for a visit with my retired Mom for her first time to Maui.The Condo is exactly as pictured including the view from the balcony. Menehune Shores is in N. Kihei at the bottom of Maalaea Bay, It is home to a historic fishpond built of rock along its shores. With it's shallow waters and lack of current this can be a very welcoming place for younger and mature people to get in the ocean. The other side of the rocks provide a safe haven for turtles, if you like to snorkel. The roof top has great views and additional grills. We were able to see multiple whales from here. and catch the sunsetOne major highlight or this Condo is how very well stocked it is. Not just enough basics (t.p, q-tips, soap, trash bags) to get you started off with but enough for your entire stay. Too many things to list them all. Additionally, it appears that the aloha is in full force as the kitchen had many things that I imagine folks had left behind for others (spices, oils, vintagers, coffee, ect.)The front bedroom has the ocean view and sound. the back bedroom faces Kihei Road and has the traffic sound. We did not find this to be a problem but that was one of the things I saw folks comment on in other reviews.This property has a glowing review from me and was perfect for bring my Mom. She loved it here and the people that live and work at Menehune Shores were so kind!ALOHA!‱Also check out the restaurant Monsoon Grill on the property

Great Stay

This was a great option for us for our stay on Maui. The condo is updated and well appointed. Communication with Kristi was quick and easy. There are great restaurants within a 5 minute drive and the beach outside the condo area is great. We didn’t use the pool but it wasn’t crowded when we walked by a few times. The cleaners could be a little more detailed as there was some hair on the towels and on the floor when we arrived. This is not fault of the owner though. The Indian restaurant smelled great but permeated some in the elevator and sometimes, the external hallway. Other than the few, minor things, we would stay here again.

Better than expected

We absolutely loved this property. Supplies such as beach towels, chairs, utensils, cleaners etc exceeded our expectations. Plenty of parking, drinking water bottle refill in building, no issues with elevators to 4th floor. Good internet wifi. My son spotted whales from the front beach. Views from living room and master bed were breathtaking, pictures on Vrbo site don't do justice. Furniture had modern coastal feel. Indian restaurant downstairs served halal lamb kabobs which worked out for us and delicious food. Conveniently located to good restaurants, scuba shops, groceries, etc. Owner was very nice and super responsive. Private Washer/dryer worked great. All family members had great time, no issues I can think of.

Wonderful quiet family spot

This was a perfect place for our family of five to enjoy a few night in Kehei. We were so impressed by how stocked the unit was with everything we could have needed, including chairs and towels for the beach, a fully equipped kitchen, and water toys for the kids. Kristi was super fast to respond to any questions I had, and it was a really seamless process to stay in this really well-appointed unit.

Great location and beach!

Had a great time staying at this property! Everything we did on Maui was very close and convenient. Spacious 2 bedroom unit with a lanai to relax in the morning and evening. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to family/friends!

Beautiful condo!! Clean and well stocked with laundry, kitchen, and basic bathroom supplies. Easy and attentive communication with the condo owners with any and all questions answered right away. I’ve stayed at Menehune Shores many times over the years and cannot wait to be back. Mahalo Kritsi and Allen!!!!

Good Value and Convenient

Condo is as described - has all the beach stuff you will need including a cooler with ice packs - the kitchen is equipped plus some small appliances and basic ingredients - sunset view - west Maui view - turtles out front every morning - family spot with nice folks and quiet - Kihei was a good choice for us to homebase for trips to make a - napili

Perfect Location!

This condo was perfect for our family stay in Maui! The view from the balcony was spectacular, the condo complex was very well-maintained, the separate air conditioner units in each room were especially convenient. The hosts were very responsive, would definitely stay here again!

Great stay

The place was perfect. Nothing was lacking and was above all expectations. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. The only minor issue was the front door combo lock. It took about 3 tries before the door unlocked or we just used the key. This issue was minor. We had a very excellent stay.

Family getaway

Property as advertised. Well maintained grounds and building, quiet residential neighbourhood and beautiful view from the lanai. We were pleased to find 2 body boards, sand toys, beach chairs, pool noodles and a beach umbrella. Would recommend for sure!!

Great stay

Our group of three adults had a great stay. It's well-stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas and beach towels, which we used at the many beaches within a 15-minute drive. It's right on Kihei Road, but you hear the waves more than the traffic, and you have a great view of the sunset every night.

Senior get away

Unit 405 was very nice. It had a partial ocean view beach up with you swimming pool of you. It’s close to lotta restaurants and activities would definitely come back and stay here. It was really very nice. Thank you.
