Relax with the family at this peaceful retreat and spectacular view of the Potomac River at the Northern Neck. Unwind and enjoy the river view from the backyard. The house is located in the enclave of the Potomac River. This vacation home features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a TV with basic channels, free WIFI, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, a patio with river views, and a 50 ft dock for your fishing, crabbing, or just enjoying the sunrise and sunset. This also made a perfect romantic getaway spot for two.

The place is a little outdated but very charming...the only reason I say outdated is because we could not use the shower in the main bathroom, there was no water pressure, just a dribble. Other than that, I would stay there again.

We loved this place! Being right on the water was so beautiful and peaceful. The place is spacious and clean, and it had plenty of room for our family with teens. We found two fun waterfront restaurants nearby too. We would love to go back!

The water and drainage was an issue. the water had the order of rust and the sinks had a gaseous order as though they were partially blocked and had been that way for a long time. I had to get plumbing work in my house for the same problem. Paid for four nights only used it two because of the problem. If those problems were fixed, I would rent it again. Great location.

Get Away Weekend

The house is decent. Small old house. Beautiful area. Nice neighborhood. Just not what we were expecting or wanted. No access to the water. The house was very under kept. The water in the shower/sink smells like sulfar. Beds are very hard and not comfortable. Just under whelming for the price.

We enjoyed this place. The back porch was great for looking out on the water. Enjoyed a moon rise first evening. Historical area. You should go and stay!

Relaxing off-the-beaten-path place to stay

Those gorgeous sunrises will never cease to amaze! We enjoyed our second stay at this property staying 11 nights. It’s about 2 hours from DC so we were able to do a couple of trips there. Part of our stay was during a very cold snap but property stayed warm and cozy.

Nice out of the way place

This is a nice little cottage, tucked away from everything right on the river. I was looking for some peace and quiet, and that’s exactly what I got. Even though the weather wasn’t great, the sunroom still let me enjoy the views.

Riverfront relaxation

We had a wonderful stay. The house was just as described, a cozy cottage perfect for relaxing with beautiful riverfront views. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, the living room and main bedroom we used were comfortable, and the sun porch had great views where you could relax in the AC. The patio had a great dining table/umbrella, and the dock was perfect for fishing. Thank you for a lovely getaway cottage!

Summer Vacation

We had a great week of vacation at this little hidden gem. We spent a lot of our time fishing as a family and just sitting on the dock listening to the waves. This was a quiet area, but not too far from quaint little towns to visit. Would definitely recommend it.
