Fully remodeled, relaxing, quiet, private cozy suite located in an upscale equestrian neighborhood. Enjoy the peacefulness of country living, while being conveniently located near restaurants, shopping and outdoor activities. Located near Oak Mountain State Park. Watch the deer roam while you drink your coffee on the back deck in the mornings. Pets are allowed. Limit 2 pets. There is a pet of $40.

The barndominium was perfect for our party of 4. It was secluded in a beautiful neighborhood on property near a creek. It was perfect for what we needed.

Clean, comfortable, private, peaceful, serene, scenic--all are adjectives applicable to this attractive property. My husband and I have spent many nights in upscale hotels, but there are very few amenities more important than peace and quiet, which were in abundance here!

Great stay!!

Had a few minor issues during our stay and the property owners were always quick to help. Property was very clean and in a very safe area of town. Has all amenities you may need and all check in instructions are very thorough to avoid any problems. Overall great time!

Perfect hideaway just outside town

We loved our time in the Bardominium. The host couldn't have been nicer and was in great communication with us. Everything we needed was there and the place was clean and comfortable. We loved being able to sit out on the balcony and see the chickens in the morning as we drank our morning coffee. Would definitely stay again next time we are in Chelsea!

Lovely Stay!

This barndo was exactly what we were looking for! A perfect secluded place while still within driving distance to many shops and restaurants. We especially loved drinking our morning coffee on the balcony and watching the chickens. We are looking forward to our next stay here.

The place was very nice and clean! The owners were very nice and friendly. The neighborhood was very quiet and more of a rural setting. But only a few minutes from town. If we ever come back to the area I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location

We were there for an MLF event on Lay Lake and the Expo on Birmingham, so this was a perfect halfway mark to locate for travel times to both locations. The setup was great and we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Thanks for hosting us! I would definitely recommend this location. (If you can’t walk up stairs, then you may need another location.) Great place and we would use it again if the need arises.

Quiet time

Quiet and peaceful surroundings in a neighborhood. We loved watching chickens close by. Our stay was enjoyable and relaxing. However, heating and cooling was a little complicated. It would be nice to have written instructions of heating and cooling. We had to put remote by door of cold air to try to keep it warm inside. The thermostat is on the remote. We googled how to control the of heating.

Cozy Place to Stay

We loved our stay at the Barndominium! It is located in a beautiful neighborhood in Chelsea and was fairly convenient to 280. The lower level features the entrance and a bunk bed and the upper level is the main floor with bathroom, living area, kitchen and queen sized bed. There is laundry access and a nice deck on the back with views of the fields and woods and the host's chicken coop. We enjoyed watching the chickens. The place is very clean and new. It was a bit difficult with just the one bathroom and the bunk beds below could use a table and lamp or something else, but overall, for myself, my husband, and our two young adult kids it totally worked. The host was so great about answering all my questions and got back to me quickly. We would definitely stay here again!

Dog friendly stay

The unit was just what we needed for my son's sports competition in Birmingham area. It was sort of rural to Birmingham, taking about 30-45 minutes to get to his events. There is a washer and dryer, which was a bonus. Wasn't listed in amenities. Owners let us play with our dog in their large backyard, so it is very pet friendly. Hannah was quick to respond to questions and asked us if we needed anything. No bedroom privacy. The main living area is a large studio and the 2nd bedroom is a bunk bed in the foyer. Worked for us, but may not for someone that needs privacy.

Quiet and Comfortable

Over all its very nice, clean and quiet and well worth the price. The description should say that the second bedroom is actually just beds in the entrance area on the lower level. It worked for us but others might find the lack of privacy an issue. I would have prefered to have access to a broom and dust pan as we stayed 6 days. I would rent again even though we changed our minds on bringing our dog but weren't refunded the pet fees.

Peaceful and serene

This was the coziest little place! The space felt so peaceful and home like. It had everything we needed from lots of extra towels and blankets, a fully stocked kitchen and an incredible view. The back porch was the perfect start and end spot for our days. Welcoming the morning out there with our coffee ( while watching a cute little chipmunk that lived close by) and watching the sun sink behind the big trees with a glass of wine in the evening. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to come back!
